Well Palin folks, is there a big event tonight we don’t know about?
Well Palin folks, is there a big event tonight we don’t know about?
I’ll be on Neal Boortz’s show to discuss Presidential politics in about five minutes. You can listen live at http://wsbradio.com. Still nothing on the Palin front. I’m sure this will come up.
I am beginning to believe it won’t happen.
It is even morning in Wasilla, AK now and it has not happened.
We’ll be doing this all day folks.
Today is P-Day, the date Sarah Palin herself imposed as the deadline for her announcement to run for the Presidency. From U.S. For Palin: Sarah Palin however has said she will make an announcement before the deadline to declare by the end of September. It is now September 8th, 2011 and all the media and her supporters have to do is wait till September 30th, | Read More »
“[A]t some point, Sarah Palin has to take some responsibility for her supporters as Ron Paul must for his. Palin’s dragging out the tease on her decision has compounded the problem and we’ve reached a breaking point.” On Fox News, Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham had the best discussion on Sarah Palin I have seen. And Ann said something I have said. But I have | Read More »
ABC News has a profile of the upcoming Palin speech and what it may or may not mean. We know for certain that she will not declare her candidacy for the Presidency that day. And despite the wishful thinking of a bunch of others, I really doubt she will endorse anyone else either. Peter Singleton who I know and respect is one of the volunteers | Read More »
God help us, but if there is one uniform criticism from all sides, it is typically that we here at RedState are not team players. And I wear that proudly as a badge of honor. I’m not willing to sacrifice my conservatism for the GOP or a particular candidate. Nonetheless, it occasional drives people crazy that even folks on our supposed side sometimes get rebuked | Read More »
September 3rd is fast approaching and a lot of people are suddenly buzzing that she will declare her candidacy for the Presidency at that time. Karl Rove is convinced. John Fund of the Wall Street Journal thinks she will not run. A lot of Sarah Palin supporters have been telling me she’ll announce that day that she is running and I’m a fool and idiot | Read More »
CNN did a brilliant job covering the launch of the Sarah Palin documentary, “The Undefeated.” As CNN notes, The film’s distributor, ARC Entertainment, said the film averaged $5,000 per screen Friday and Saturday night, with sold-out screenings at several locations. ARC Entertainment said in a statement “… with the strong initial showing, the film is going to a wider release footprint later this month.” In | Read More »
IA Caucus: Feb. 6, 2012 NH Primary: Feb. 14, 2012 (expected) SC Primary: TBD NV Caucus: Feb. 18, 2012 Michele Bachmann has caused a mystery and a feeding frenzy in the press. What’s her number? Not her phone number. Her bank balance. It is the big question in Washington and in political circles across the nation — how much money has Michele Bachmann raised? Sources | Read More »
By the title, you might think I’m focusing on John Ziegler trashing Sarah Palin. I am not. And I don’t read this as trashing Sarah Palin. Sometimes people write things they actually mean that you and I disagree with. I’m instead titling this post over the angst of those coming in via twitter and email about John Ziegler’s work. For the past several years, John | Read More »
More than a few people are a bit perplexed by a point I made in this morning’s post. It was this one: Third, Perry’s entry would buy Mitt Romney time in the lead. Time is the one campaign commodity that cannot be added to. Every day Mitt Romney leads is a day it becomes increasingly likely Romney is the nominee. If Perry gets in, odds | Read More »
Steve Bannon and the fine folks at CRC Public Relations sent me an advanced copy of The Undefeated to watch over this past weekend. I curled up in a comfortable chair in the home studio and fired up the movie. To give you a sense of the movie — more a documentary — the film came about with Governor Palin’s desire to give a full | Read More »
It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done one of these. A lot has happened since then. Let’s get started and, again, we’ll go in alphabetical order. Just note that I’m putting Sarah Palin and Rick Perry outside the list, since they are just speculation right now and I want to deal with them first, above the fold. Sarah Palin I still think Sarah Palin | Read More »
I want to spend some time talking about zealots and zealotry. Already, the situation is growing out of hand, and I expect it to get even worse as we head further into campaign season. The Rebecca Mansour situation yesterday was a case in point. I cannot tell you the number of people who read the Daily Caller article and still emailed me under the belief | Read More »
