Nick Lampson Lies. The TV Station Is Unhappy

How desperate is Nick Lampson in TX-22? He sent out an email blast the other day that read Prosecutors were quick to move on a felony complaint that was filed after evidence was discovered showing Pete Olson (with the same addresses and signature of candidate Olson) voted and maintained voter registration in Connecticut and Virginia. Voter fraud is a felony in both states. It’s a | Read More »

In TX-22, Will Nick Lampson Get His Wife’s Vote?

Tonight, liberal incumbent Nick Lampson and conservative challenger Pete Olson will debate at a candidate’s forum. Or at least they’re scheduled to debate – who knows if Lampson will actually show up, since he’s skipped out on these irritating debate things before. If I were one of the Texas-22 citizen questioners attending this debate, I would ask a simple question of Congressman Lampson: does Lampson | Read More »

Hilarity Ensues in TX-22 at Nick Lampson’s Expense

The NRCC has yanked ads from TX-22, where they’d been pouring money in to Pete Olson’s campaign against Nick Lampson. According to documents obtained by FortBendNow, the NRCC had initially planned to spend $1,489, 320 on television ads in the Houston market, but has now reduced that amount to $593,730. In TX-22, Who’s Endorsement Would You Prefer?

In TX-22, Democrat Nick Lampson, formerly the most endangered House Democrat (now #2 behind Tim Mahoney), picked up the Houston Chronicle’s endorsement. Whoopee. The Chronicle says Lampson might become chairman of the subcommittee on NASA related stuff if he gets re-elected. Meanwhile, Pete Olson, the Republican challenger, picked up the endorsement of Louisiana’s conservative reformer, Gov. Bobby Jindal. I think I’d take Jindal over the | Read More »

    Viable Options

Up top one more time. Please note that I’ve added Saxby Chambliss. — Erick With only a few weeks left until election day, let’s be blunt: McCain-Palin ’08 does not seem to be making headway against the polling. McCain has one more debate in which he could, and we should hope that he does. At the same time, the Senate and House Republicans are going | Read More »

    This year’s Rightblogs’ Slate

In 2006, on behalf of RedState, I joined with other right of center bloggers to choose a slate of candidates worth supporting. RedState has its own slate of candidates that we have endorsed. This other slate is a larger selection of candidates chosen together by right of center bloggers. We all had the chance to nix a choice until we had a slate of candidates | Read More »

    Let’s Play A Game

    Spot the Texans:

    “That Pelosi Woman Is Nuts”

This, ladies and gentlemen, is must see TV. This also ties in directly with this new polling data that suggests the GOP is having a serious impact on the issue and the Democrats are feeling the heat. Six out of 10 Americans (61%) say Congress should return to Washington immediately to vote on lifting the ban on offshore oil drilling, according to a new Rasmussen | Read More »

RedState Candidates Are Kicking Butt, But They Need Our Help

We can help out Olson, Barlatta, and Parnell. We need to help them out. The Texas Chamber of Commerce will endorse Pete Olson against Nick Lampson. Give and we can win. Barletta is cleaning Paul Kanjorski’s clock up in Pennsylvania. He just started put ads up on the air and could use some cash to keep it up. This has become a pick up opportunity | Read More »

    Paging Congressman Ted Poe

Sir, I have played this clip on a local radio show and the response from the audience has been amazing. This, I venture to say, is one of the greatest speeches ever made on the floor of the House. It is humorous, pointed, and effectively demonstrates the sheer absurdity of the rules. PS – Overwhelmingly the callers to my radio show do want you to | Read More »
