The public by and large doesn’t have a clue that this is what they do on a daily basis. One would be hard pressed to find a bill proposed by federal or state legislatures that doesn’t involve spending or creating a permanent job and you won’t find one that doesn’t create paper.

I once joked with the guys on the job that I was going to run for gov. and they asked me what I would do. I replied “nothing” maybe play golf. Veto everything thing with new spending and play golf. I told them every bill cost money, just some more than others. They said they would vote for me.

I truly believe the working citizens of this country will become fewer and fewer until the prosperity disappears completely and the bloated government will self destruct.

The stimulus bill as it stands is bad, but when you throw in what they do everyday that gets no press, we are screwed. The sad part is the public seems to fall into two catorgories, apathy or dependence. The self reliant spirit is fading.
