A dispute is rumbling between Israel and the US Consulate in Jerusalem after a US diplomatic car allegedly tried running over a Defense Ministry security guard recently at an IDF checkpoint in the West Bank. The car had been stopped after the occupants refused to present identification papers.

An American diplomatic vehicle allegedly tried to run over an Israeli security guard at a border checkpoint in Israel last month, setting off a diplomatic scuffle that is straining relations between the two nations, The Jerusalem Post reported.

In an episode that was reportedly caught on tape, a five-car U.S. convoy was stopped at the Gilboa border crossing in the northern West Bank on Nov. 13 but refused to identify themselves or open any windows or doors for inspection by Israeli security.

The incident led to a testy meeting five days later, when U.S. and Israeli officials met in Jerusalem to discuss the case and at least one other involving a Palestinian woman who was found in a U.S. diplomatic car without appropriate documentation.

The U.S. response, the Post noted, further angered Israeli officials: the chief regional security officer reportedly told his Israeli counterparts that “simple guards” had no authority to inspect senior diplomats.

The U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem is America’s embassy to the Palestinian Authority, according to the U.S. Consul-General’s response to a letter penned by an irate Jewish American.

Dr. Adam Splaver, a Florida cardiologist, wrote to the American Consul-General in Jerusalem on August 14 expressing outrage that the Consulate’s website “did not mention Israel, projects in Israel, the people of Israel or the modern state of Israel. What it does mention is the numerous projects you have with the Palestinians and in their cities and towns.”

The reply, received Monday, August 17, speaks for itself:

“Thank you for your feedback on the U.S. Consulate General Jerusalem’s Website. Just to clarify, the Consulate General in Jerusalem is the principal representation to the Palestinian Authority. We also provide services to American citizens in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza.

“The U.S. embassy to Israel is in Tel Aviv and is focused on the bilateral relationship with Israel. Their website is http://usembassy-israel.org.il   The American Center in Jerusalem also provides information about the United States to the Israeli public. Their website is http://usembassy-israel.org.il/ac/ .

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE ?!?

Forgetting the Embassy/Consulate mess for a moment…………

Is there a ‘from-the-top’ op order for consular officials and any “accidentally there” agency people to try and off their hosts ?    Are they supposed to get Israelis riled up to the point where they’ll be all added to “the list” on Janet Napolitano’s and Eric Holder’s desks ?

Add that to the Embassy/Consulate deal and the merde is going to encounter the ventilateur VERY soon.

So, let’s take bets on how long it’ll be until Israel has enough of the love and affection we’re all feeling from the current administration and expels all US Diplomats, refuses any assistance from us and cuts off relations.

For me, it would be super-eleastic-bubble-plastic-fantastic if my people end up beating Gozerbama The Destructor to the punch of officially cutting off Israel…… ‘cuz y’all know damn well he’s gonna do it, if not specifically threaten to at some point in the very near future if they move on Iran…………. Maybe he did make the move already and we just don’t know about it.

I really doubt it’s gonna happen…… But I know you can just imagine the faces on all the ferklempt shnooks in DC if Israel would cut off The USA.

I’ve seriously about had it though, so y’all gotsta deal with this lil’ bit o’ venting………….

Hey schmucks in the convoy…… You’re in a foreign country.  None of you are Mitch Rapp or Jack Ryan.  Not even your big boss can order you to ignore the laws of the land where you are.  So obey the requests and directions from any nice L.E.O.’s or military officials you encounter………… and I guess I have to remind you to be polite say “yes sir/no sir” and/or “yes ma’am/no ma’am” as well.

Oh wait…… My bad on all of this……… I forgot…… It can’t be any person or official to blame, because it was the convoy SUV’s fault for existing solely to cause global warming.  You know those vehicles are just as nasty as Teh Eeeeevil Jooooooooooos.
