1) The people responsible for this outrage are some group that says it promotes relations between the West and Islam. If they are serious about their “mission”, they should stop plans to build this damn mosque. Right now. They run a very, very serious risk of inciting some violence.
2) If construction does start, then the name of every company involved in the construction and every traitor bastard who works for the companies should be made public, from the architect to the clean-up crews, and they should be hounded out of the country.
3) Two words – eminent domain. If there is one patriot left alive in the legislature in New York – and there may not be – a bill taking this property in the name of the people of New York through eminent domain should be introduced and passed immediately. And I would not pay the scum owners over a dollar. Fair market value and all.
4) I’m waiting on “moderate Muslims” to rise up and start talking about what an atrocity this is and how they strongly object to it. Waiting. Waiting.

This project is a slap in the face to every American who watched the planes hit the buildings, the innocent workers who jumped to their deaths from the flames, and those who remained in the buildings and were killed when they fell, not to mention the people themselves and their families.

He proceeds to gut commercial areas for “pedestrian malls” decorated with cheap beach lounge chairs and interrupt real trade and commerce by clogging city streets with trucks and deliveries that can’t be made–AND the city is $5 BILLION in deficit.

He, like the average Dem., cares nothing for the real rule of law, because when he faced a non-3rd term due to NYC law, he simply noved to overrule it–a la Salazaar and the “new” moratorium on the Gulf states’ oil development.

NEW YORK — The ranking Republican on the House Homeland Security Committee said Monday he favors an investigation into the funding of a proposed mosque near ground zero.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Rep. Peter King raised concerns about the sources of funding for the proposed $100 million mosque, just blocks away from the site of the Sept. 11 attacks, where nearly 3,000 Americans died at the hands of Islamic terrorists.

The first Guantanamo Bay detainee to be prosecuted in a civilian court was cleared for trial Tuesday by a judge who said a two-year interrogation and five-year detention were not grounds for dismissal because they served compelling national security interests.

Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani was interrogated by the CIA for important intelligence information, U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan wrote in a decision that rejected defense requests to toss out the indictment on the grounds that Ghailani was denied a speedy trial.
