I can’t wait for the Spring Thaw to get rid of the Snow (Olympia)

Congresswoman Snow you are not a Republican. Please stop calling yourself one and make the party switch official. In an article today on Yahoo! (found here) Senator Snow laments the Senate not working together to solve problems in this quote, “And so it becomes more divisive and I think ultimately has manifested itself in the Senate and an overall process that lends itself to dysfunction | Read More »

Someone who IS a conservative doesn’t have to convince us he is a conservative because he lives like a conservative, thinks like a conservative, and acts like a conservative. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? | Read More »

Not what you’ll do for me, but what you’ll do for my country?

I’m currently in the ‘Undecided’ category on the Republican primary. In the days to come here are some questions I’d like to see answers to from the respective candidates. Following those questions are some suggestions I have for each candidate. But, before I continue there is one thing I would like to see from ALL the candidates and that is their participation on this forum. | Read More »

You have 24 months to demonstrate ‘you get it’ but I bet we will know if you do much, much sooner. In case you are not sure what ‘it’ is, let me bullet point it from my perspective… Do NOT reach across the isle or they will blame you and so will I Do NOT compromise on conservative principles (read Goldwater’s book if you are | Read More »
A brief (really) suggestion concerning how to get reelected if you’re a conservative
By: firstchevalier (Diary) | March 4th at 07:34 PM |
Do not tell me how much money you’ve brought home to your district. That money belonged to someone else, which means you’ve confiscated/taken something that doesn’t belong to you. Instead, tell me how you’ve gotten government OUT of your home district and OUT of the the lives of your constituents. Conservatives will FLOCK to your banner like ants to a piece of bubblegum on the | Read More »
Conservatism will fail in the Republican party if…
By: firstchevalier (Diary) | December 26th at 11:39 AM |
We do not start publicly decrying those Republicans who are Republicans In November Only just to court the conservative base and then abandon us once elected. We do not stop accepting ‘the lesser of evils’. Some pain is going to be necessary to over come this death spiral of accepting moderates and those Really Interested in Nothing Overt when it comes to principals.
Conservative call to action

Before John McCain picked Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate I didn’t know her. Even after we still only know what the MSM and the McCain handlers allowed us to see and hear. I think one of the flaws in McCain’s campaign was they didn’t allow Sarah to be herself. Part of that too was having to support the McCain platform and not | Read More »
Conservatives, it’s our turn
By: firstchevalier (Diary) | November 15th at 11:35 AM |
Americans, why did McCain/Palin loose this election? A lack of conservative principals showcased from the beginning. The Republican leadership allowed a moderate (McCain) to be selected as our candidate. McCain ran a weak campaign only selecting Palin in the end to energize the conservative base, and she did. I submit if someone with more ‘fire in the belly’ for conservative principals like Sarah Palin had | Read More »
