Sandy Adams is an inspiration. You wouldn’t think so from her pictures, but in person, her handshake and smile will melt you.

I am in Sandy’s District as well. She is very responsive to the people in her District. The only reason Mica wanted to run in her District was because he thinks he can beat her. Sandy walks the walk. She is a staunch conservative and is careful with tax payer money. Mica needs to be retired and the sooner the better. My spouse is a Democrat, but will be voting for Sandy.

…is that way, way, way too many of our Congresscritters are willing to create these ridiculous, monstrous bureaucratic boondoggles without really thinking about the consequences.

This is a problem on the right and the left, but it’s especially galling when the party that is supposed to be for less spending and less government does it.

I don’t care what the issue is, don’t just tell me “it’s for the children!” or “OMG national security!” or whatever, tell me WHY we need a massive federal agency to supervise all the details and WHY government intervention will make the situation better.

Sometimes, like Mica did, you just screw up.

But – as I said, it doesn’t justify his re-election. The TSA is here and they shouldn’t be. I’m happy to hear anyone oppose their existence…Mica or anyone else.

…but one thing you gotta like about Mica is his hatred of the TSA.

And following my trip to/from RSG12, I have at least a little admiration for any politician who holds that position.
