Intemperate Thoughts IV
By: Frederick (Diary) | November 29th at 05:25 PM |
It has been a few months since my last catharsis of intemperate thoughts. It’s now time to release my latest list of politically-incorrect musings about life in these United States. Get ready, ’cause I’m coming out with barrels blazing! Intemperate Thoughts The people of New York deserve Charlie Rangel. Despite the ethics cloud and numerous alternatives both liberal and conservative, they still voted for | Read More »
An Open Letter: Gun control and the belligerent New York Times
By: Frederick (Diary) | November 26th at 05:35 PM |
Dear New York Times Editors, After reading your editorial about the NRA’s push to overturn handgun age restrictions for citizens 18-20 years old, I can only surmize that no one in your editorial staff has ever read, nor would ever care to read, the Constitution of the United States. Nowhere in that foundational document does it state that one’s rights activate on one’s 21st birthday. | Read More »
A battle, not the war
By: Frederick (Diary) | November 16th at 05:55 PM |
As of now, we have won nothing. The 2012 election was merely one battle in a war of ideologies, and those who call themselves our allies aren’t always fighting with us. Mitch McConnell and other Senate GOP leaders had to be bullied into embracing the “no earmarks” pledge, and others still don’t get it. It’s not that earmarks represent a huge portion of Federal spending; | Read More »

By: Frederick (Diary) | November 11th at 08:59 AM |
As you sit there, weak and weary Pondering your life (so dreary!), Remember you’re secure and safe And no matter how this life may chafe, Someone standing upon a hill, A tower or foxhole pays your bill. Our freedom comes at precious cost Of sweat and blood and lives we’ve lost. So as you read these token words Consider what your freedom girds: Life, liberty | Read More »
Inflation, economic malaise the result of Fed “Stimulus”
By: Frederick (Diary) | November 4th at 06:24 PM |
The Federal Reserve, along with the Obama Administration, are seemingly ecstatic with the idea of reintroducing us to the Carter Administration. Global stock markets surged and the U.S. dollar fell against major currencies following a Federal Reserve decision to pump $600 billion into circulation to push interest rates lower. It is a move intended to accelerate the U.S. economic recovery, and while investors appear to | Read More »
A conservative first, a Republican second
By: Frederick (Diary) | September 23rd at 12:10 PM |
John Raese (R-Cand, WV-SEN) has been endorsed by Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty according to Huntington News, a local West Viriginia news site. This follows an endorsement from FreedomWorks PAC earlier this week. Yesterday, I posted a piece on Raese in his bid for the Senate seat once held by the late Robert Byrd (D-WV). At the end, I stated that I felt certain that his opponent, Governor | Read More »
Raese vs. Manchin shows “D” is toxic
By: Frederick (Diary) | September 22nd at 12:38 PM |
For the first time since polling in the race began, Republican businessman John Raese (R) leads Governor Joe Manchin (D) in the West Virigina Senate Race, despite Manchin’s continued popularity as governor of that state. A Public Policy Polling survey released Tuesday has Manchin behind businessman John Raese, 43 percent to 46 percent. The lead of Raese is considered within the poll’s 2.6 percent margin | Read More »
Mine is a small voice
By: Frederick (Diary) | September 20th at 07:57 PM |
I was flipping through the cable news networks looking for some details on the reports of a shooting at Fort Hood, TX. That story seems to have been a domestic dispute or something similar, not another act of terrorism. But I stopped briefly at MSNBC and caught a brief segment on “the ED show”. Ed Schultz was interviewing someone I didn’t recognize, asking (or was | Read More »

By: Frederick (Diary) | August 11th at 11:19 PM |
Woodall spoke to the crowd gathered at Sperata’s in Lawrenceville, GA just after the race was called. While Georgia’s 7th District has been safetly Republican for many years, Rob Woodall still needs your support. You can donate to him here. “Exclusive RedState Video” watermark suggested by Absentee.
One vote counts: Yours
By: Frederick (Diary) | August 4th at 09:16 PM |
Reports are that Dan Benishek has won the Republican Primary for MI-01 by a single vote. Just one vote in the unofficial count on the Michigan Secretary of State website separates Dr. Benishek from Jason Allen. Benishek was polling well against Allen just one week ago, but the race tightened up as the election loomed. No one suspected this result, however. Few if any elections in | Read More »
