Liberal Conspiracy to Frame and Defame TeamSarah: Busted!

by Bill Collier (1/2/09)

Community Governance Adviser- Team Sarah

Administrator-The Freedom Congress USA http://www.freedomist.org

TeamSarah.org, an online community of over 63,000 who admire Sarah Palin and all she stands for, currently is experiencing an attempt at framing the whole community as guilty of unsavory racist behavior.  This apparently is part of an overall attempt by the the worst elements of the progressive faction, conduct for which all liberals should be ashamed to be associated, even indirectly.

This was started, for example at DemocracyUnderground (which brags that it intends to turn the word conservative “radioactive”) — well before that unfair and arguably defamatory piece was published in The Huffington Post, an extremist liberal website that evidently does not police its own content for accuracy.  It is shocking that the HuffPo dropped any pretense of journalistic standards — like, for instance, simply calling TeamSarah and its proprietor, the Susan B. Anthony List, for a balanced picture, before running a recent attack on TeamSarah.

Thanks go out to Kelley S who serves TeamSarah brilliantly as a guardian, going out on patrol, looking for invaders who are attempting to frame and defame the community.

Thanks to Kelly, we now have screen shots, ID’s, and IP’s of a number of individuals who have planned an effort, and attempted to implement it, to act as agent provocateurs and discredit Team Sarah by planting racist and other unsavory material as if they were members.

Today, January 2, people have seen weird posts from individuals who seemed overwhelmingly racist, bigoted, and in general unsavory sorts posing as Palin, and traditionalist values, supporters.

As you well know, the Huffington Post alleged that Team Sarah was racist, bigoted, and hateful.  Not so!  TeamSarah strives  to live up to the high standards of decency and humanity exemplified by Gov. Palin. And we do a good job of it.  We moderate posts, guide members, and work intently to keep the standards of the site high.  The most unsavory leftist elements are doing something weirdly similar, in cyberspace, to the arson committed against Gov. Palin’s church in Wasilla, Alaska.  And trying to set us up to take the blame for their vile actions.

We now have the evidence of what we suspected all along: the liberal extremists have been creating “sock puppets,” fake people whose sole mission is to come to TeamSarah, post horrible things, and then make copies of these posts to “prove” that we are bigots and cretins.  It is the equivalent of framing the innocent, it is pure dirty tricks.  And it is vile.  We call upon all principled Liberals to condemns these actions.  This is not the first time this has happened.  We have also documented “dirty tricks” from DemocracyUnderground.com http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=7495801&mesg_id=7498189and from YAforObama.com
http://yaforobama.ning.com/profiles/blogs/trolling-team-sarah-reposted.

We will not REACT and let these attacks cause us to mistrust one another or become distracted. TeamSarah is standing by our very high community standards.  We can only call upon sites like SomethingAwful.com, Huffingpost.com, YAforObama.com, and DemocracyUnderground.com to behave with similar decency.

As ALWAYS if someone violates TeamSarah’s community standards, we ask our members to report them and not get drawn into their unethical game.  And then we investigage promptly, taking down any racist or other unseemly postings.

The website they organized this attack from is called “somethingawful.com.” We must admit, it is aptly named.  Some of the comments are illuminating:

It’s our duty to steer the site away from reason and into the realms of racism and insanity just in time for the 2012 primaries, and then to ensure Palin is the Republican nominee.

—————-

TeamSarah has compiled over 15 pages of evidence on file from this conspiracy.  Thank you to the extremist liberals who have provided fresh evidence as to what really is going on: that they send in “clones” (false identities) to say and do things that we do not tolerate, and, in the short time it takes us to find and eliminate these posts take a screen shot of them, and then post about it in poorly managed liberal websites, ones that have abandoned all journalistic standards, from which it gets echoes throughout the liberal blogosphere as if true.

Poorly managed sites such as, apparently, the $100 million Huffington Post which seems not to care about even the most basic standards of fairness in reporting.  I guess that kind of money can be blinding, but:  “What does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his (or her) soul“?

It’s amazing to me that people would waste their time trying to torpedo others’ communities or efforts instead of working on their own!

    Good report.

It’s a culture war we are in, the political part is a subset of it. Just as in a shooting war, everybody from the cook to the fighter pilot has a job to do.

Not everyone’s job has glory or honor attached to it. The old “gentlemen don’t read other gentlemens mail” argument against spying and black ops is an anachronism.

The other side will do anything necessary to accrue power for themselves. How far will we go to counter them? It’s an ethical conundrum.

        not “Democracy Underground.”

that minor detail aside, either wa, the name is only half right. Nothing democratic about it, and it’s absolutely underground, as in a bunch of sewer rats.

Sarah’s Praetorian Guard is doing great work. Keep it up!

be surprised by the tactics of the left? They showed us during the last election just how far they are willing to stoop. Now that they have seized power, they will stop at nothing to keep it. They will not be satisfied until we and our beliefs are but a memory.

However, there are enough of us who have had enough and we will be silent no more. I think a majority of the true Conservatives have finally realized that it is time for us to stand up and stop expecting others to fight this culture war for us. It is time to take a stand for what we believe in.

the Anchorage Daily News website. They’ve pretty much chased all the regulars and locals, left, right, or center off. Any article or editorial about State policy, budget, or Gov. Palin gets dozens, sometimes hundreds of snarling derogatory comments from people from all over the Country. Most on consistent themes and most abysmally ignorant of the issues.

          • Moe Lane

You pretty much need aggressive site moderation for any website or blog with comments and more than 1,000 hits a day these days. Side moderation, and a few tricks that I’m not going to talk about.

And even then, you just keep it down to a dull roar.

          • Achance

As in nobody is sitting there watching like here. There is a “Report Abuse” button and if somebody reports something the site staff will look and take down the more vile, and I do mean vile, posts.

‘Course, a lot of the issue there is that the ADN is at heart a leftwing McClatchey rag that doesn’t mind posters saying the things the editorial staff also thinks but can’t say and still sell papers in a fairly conservative state.

When I worked for the Murkowski Administration, we just accepted that the best we could ever get from the McClatchey-owned ADN and the Morris Communications-owned Juneau Empire was to be ignored. If we did something good, they’d ignore it. If we did something bad as lefties define bad or that could be spun as bad, we were front page above the fold. We tried pretty hard to cultivate the little weenie the AP had here but to no avail; last I heard he was working DC for AP and actually followed me here and responded to one of my very early posts as the ’06 Governor’s race was beginning to shape up.

“Thanks” to Sen. Stevens, Public Radio and Television is extensive and well-funded throughout Alaska and its news coverage is thoroughly lefty. I’d become suicidally depressed if I listened to it all the time. Nevertheless, whenver we were in bargaining with our AFSCME unit or with the maritime unions, I’d dutifully tune in to NPR on the way to work so I could hear the interviews with and comments of my adversaries. ‘Course, they almost never talked to me and when they did, they misuse whatever I said. Consequently, I contributed to the problem I guess since I just wouldn’t give them anything.

          • Moe Lane

They may get traffic, but they’re probably not getting the clickthrough ad revenue that they want. You don’t get communities of trolls; you just get mobs.

          • Achance

especially in the early days after Palin’s nomination. But you’re right, neither their online edition nor their poltical “community” has much advertising. Interestingly, for such a leftwing rag, the biggest ad lately has been from some anti-union group thanking Sen. Murkowski for her opposition to card check. That must drive the Lefties nuts!

          • From ME to You

I’m sure that the tactics described have the tacit approval of the Democrat party. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was funded in some way by them!

            - Something Awful is a comedy site.

The attack isn’t political; SA forum “goons” routinely make fun of furries, fetishists, World of Warcraft losers, pokemon nerds, and people with inflated opinions of themselves in general.

The motto of the site is “the Internet makes you stupid”, and poking fun at that stupidity is what it’s all about.

          • mattchicago

If you want to know what Something Awful is about, just read the front page. It’s free.

Today’s front page article is a satirical interview of a teenage rapper.

Yesterday’s was about Japanese animation: “I was ready to leave anime behind for you, Jerry, but thank God I saw the light! Suddenly I felt like Yukinari being transported to the mystic world of Seiren, and Miharu-chan represented the saving grace that is Japanese animation: the only thing that can touch me without causing pain.”

It’s a comedy site, not a political site.

          • http://www.hakubi.us/ Neil Stevens
          • zuiko

Is that everybody takes everything too seriously, so they set out to attack anyone who takes anything seriously… ironically they take that very seriously and these kids spend hundreds or thousands of hours trying to annoy people, but I guess they don’t see the irony in that. Malicious scripts, forum invasions, whatever they can do to annoy is what they do.

          • http://www.hakubi.us/ Neil Stevens

          • zuiko

Homophobia, racism, sexism, whatever it takes to cause a stir. These guys are pretty much all over the internet. Here is a profile that wired did on these guys.

          • zuiko

I’d say they just naturally have the left bias that comes with that. Their left bias is more of an idiot shock-jock bias than a NPR type of bias.

          • E Pluribus Unum

I might assay to take them more seriously.

There is NOBODY more ripe for fun-poking, for those who poke fun at people who take themselves seriously, than the Obama crowd, and his sycophants.

          • mattchicago

just like “living in your parents’ basement” is used when mocking anime fans…

          • zuiko

I’d rather give $10 to moveon.org than those losers. Seriously.

          • Martin Knight

It’s just as lame as liberal Hollywood movie producers’ attempts to convince everyone that their anti-war flops had absolutely nothing – nothing! – to do with politics.

      • William Collier Jr

        is my motto.

I will not discuss technical means, but through the Freedomist Congress and a group we simply call the inner circle, well, look for more intel like this in future at freedomist.org

I looked around DemocraticUnderground. and found a page in the forum where they posted a screen scrape from jimgilmoreforgovernor.com with more than a doze e-mail addresses which they were making “available” for people to register over and over again on the sites. I alerted to registrant of the domain and told them they should try to hjave that content removed under DMCA.

These paid Soros funded trolls are everywhere spreading lies about anyone or anything that opposes the libtards Obammunism orthodoxy.

  • itrytobenice

but infrequent visitor, I’m glad you guys are keeping an eye on it and keeping the lights on.

Including shining a light on the cockroaches. Nothing makes them more uncomfortable than knowing that their greasy little germy hides have been exposed.

  • LNSmithee

In the thread in which the plot was revealed, the neo-Nutzis discussed how they established their own FR identities and were slowly introducing their racist agitprop in the forum. When disgusted members took note of the tone of the trolls’ posts, the plot was uncovered. SF members in their own forum said FR was “packed full of our target audience,” but were smacked down with great prejudice by Freepers like myself and deleted by founder Jim Robinson.

Nevertheless, when Margaret Cho said some vile things about President Bush at a Kerry fundraiser in 2004, and some unwise FR participants went over the line in going to her site and slamming her, she still made reference to the *failed* Stormfront invasion, referring to FR as “Free Republic, which a Klan/Neo-Nazi site called “packed full of our target audience…”

  • AHALgal

HuffPo, DU, and Kos followers are so deranged over Palin they’re stepping in it.

Whether you call it the power of God or karma, it will bite them. And when it does, it’s gonna leave a serious mark.

  • Rod_Patrick

But as conservatives, TeamSarah knows how to fight back.

And we should always fight back and never give in!

of the Liberal smears and attacks, I am setting up a group within The Freedom Congress, uniting all those who have been helping me and others to gather intel and STOP these kinds of attacks, while exposing them.

The article is called “Freedom Fights Back” and is a simple, effective response, an ORGANIZED intel gathering effort. We have the basic infrastructure and we have the people, talent, and plan but YOU can help!

    http://www.freedomist.org/group/thefreedomistelitecorps

If you can’t get involved directly, tell others about this article.

THIS IS A PRIVATE effort, not associated with any group. If you want to protect your own group or blog, come on in, let’s help each other!

I HAVE HAD ENOUGH but we have to behave wisely, according to our values, not returning evil for evil, but holding evildoers who violate OUR freedoms and vandalize OUR communities ACCOUNTABLE, both them and those who “fence” their ill gotten panted “evidence” and those who profit from this or advertise on such sites as peddle this or profit by it.

WE NEED YOU, we need EACH OTHER!

  • GB221

It would be easier if all the Palin , Sarah Palin, Sarah, Team Sarah, etc. labeled posts could be found by clicking on a single hot topic, saying, e.g. “Sarah Palin”.

  • BrianFH

Maybe you shouldn’t delete the posts, just frame them in putrid puce, or something, with a descriptive label like ‘Obot Fakery’, and disable replies to them. And maybe with the IP showing.
