Russia should have invaded Belgium

US, Eastern Europe will not lose

By Mike DeVine, Legal Editor for The Minority Report and The HinzSight Report

If Russia’s goal is to re-build an empire, they would stand a better chance with the ignorant appeasing socialists of Western Europe. But they never took West Berlin and they won’t take back Eastern Europe nor Tbilisi, Georgia, thanks to the backbone of the 21st Century Truman, the conservative majority American voters and the United States military as well as the memory of tyranny in east of the Iron Curtain.

Exhibit A:

Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and the heads of state of five other nations that had once been dominated by the Soviet Union vowed never to concede the independence they’ve enjoyed since 1991, when the Soviet Union was dissolved.

“The entire world is with us,” Saakashvili told a crowd of thousands that thronged downtown Tbilisi in a late night rally.

On the podium with him were the leaders of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine.

Exhibit B (for Bush):

With these concerns in mind, I have directed a series of steps to demonstrate our solidarity with the Georgian people and bring about a peaceful resolution to this conflict. I’m sending Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to France, where she will confer with President Sarkozy. She will then travel to Tbilisi, where she will personally convey America’s unwavering support for Georgia’s democratic government. On this trip she will continue our efforts to rally the free world in the defense of a free Georgia.

I’ve also directed Secretary of Defense Bob Gates to begin a humanitarian mission to the people of Georgia, headed by the United States military. This mission will be vigorous and ongoing. A U.S. C-17 aircraft with humanitarian supplies is on its way. And in the days ahead we will use U.S. aircraft, as well as naval forces, to deliver humanitarian and medical supplies.

The leaders of five former slave states of the USSR master flew into a war zone to defy Putin’s mafia dictatorship. If that doesn’t reflect the character and will of their people, nothing can.

President Bush is sending in US military assets and personnel into the war zone a week faster than that Give ‘em Hell Harry did to Berlin.

Russia may get an Ossetia or so, but Putin will get nothing else on its eastern border.

The spines of President Bush, America and Eastern Europe are too stiff for that.

God bless America, those in Eastern Europe that love America and its Liberty gift, and God bless President George “The Liberator in Asia” Bush, soon also to be revered as the preserver of Liberty in Europe/Asia.

…and to anyone who wants to say that I am flip flopping let me clear something up, kinda like a preemptive reply if you will. What The President did here is called brinkmanship. He has drawn a line in the sand with Russia. He has crippled Russia’s ability to advance with Ms. Rice being in Georgia. He has flexed the military muscle by using it for a humanitarian mission while still engaged and winning in another war with two front. Additionally he has negated any attacks by the Dems about being a warmonger by having Ms. Rice confer with Sarkozy.

This is probably what Reagan would have done, and frankly I am impressed that President Bush took this step. Although I do wish he would have anounced this on Monday afternoon instead of waiting. But perhaps he was waiting for the Russians to back themselves into a corner. Either way not bad for “The Dumbest President Ever”™

    Well done GC and Rec’d

    see Hammerin’ Hank

I think we put WAY TOO MUCH emphasis on timing of statements and actions. That really plays into media and ADD.

The players in the world look at what happens. Bush has met every challenge and shown no weakness to enemies, and most enemies understand that tomorrow is another day. They know that if their agents are killed in 72 hours, they are just as dead as if they were killed in 24.

Oh how I recall all the days weeks and months of RS teeth gnashing predictions that Bush would cave for months to the dems, but NEVER did, and we are winning the the wars (actually we have won, but don’t dare repeat that.)

    thanks man

GC, you’re RS’ rockstar of the day. HIGHLY… HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Are you not really a descendant of Reagan, the Great Communicator?

    CONGRATULATIONS TO PRES. BUSH.

MCCAIN, AGAIN AND AGAIN, IS VERY RIGHT ON THE ISSUES.

I didn’t catch it, but I am not really into baseball anymore. I kinda fell out of sports for a while when I was in the Army and now all I keep up with is the Raiders (I know..I know) and the Phoenix Suns (that’s where I grew up).

It is sad though that Skip passed away he was a great announcer.

Even better than just action by us. We do need to be ready to take military action, though. That will make our diplomacy credible.

The hesitant moral equivalency of the Obama is pitiful.

in the heart of the war zone. Russia will not win more than they have now, and will probably give most of that up eventually.

They will never have Ukraine, etc.

I mean granted Shawn Marion probably has the ugliest shot in the NBA…but he can make free throws.

    Highly recommended!

The fact that those five brave leaders showed up in the war zone to support Georgia, should be plastered all over the front pages of every paper and news website in the world.

    And yet…

Russia would be better off invading Belgium. I don?t know what is going on with the Georgina Army, but the Georgian people are as tough as nails. Check out this reporter who keeps reporting after being shot in the arm. I love this clip. I doesn?t hurt that she is easy on the eyes.

Seriously, shooting member of the media is extremely stupid. The media is not going to like this one bit. This clip shows the indiscriminate nature of Russian violence.
