I see just another leftist Democrat loser, not a Black man

Leftist character content loses every time

By Mike DeVine, Legal Editor for The Minority Report and The HinzSight Report

Fellow baseball lover, George Will made a great point about the real proof that white racism had ceased to be a major factor in American life. It was not so much when Frank Robinson was hired as the first African-American manager in Major League Baseball. Rather, it was when he was fired on the same terms as white managers were fired all the time.

The same test obtains with respect to Barack Obama.

I have known for at least eight years and probably much longer that white racism no longer held back blacks from achieving the American Dream, and I would admit that Obama’s nomination is further proof of same. However, Larry Elder and Dave Hinz point out quite well much earlier proofs.

Forty-five years after the Rev Martin Luther King, Jr made that speech, that promissory note of which he spoke has come due. The little children of his time now attend Harvard Law School. The little children of his time have risen to become Cabinet Level Secretaries.

The child of his time is running for the highest office in this land.

Paid In Full!

The US Constitution, and that wonderful speech of 45 years ago, did not demand equality of outcome — merely equality of opportunity. The opportunity is now — the opportunity is equal. The time is now, to move beyond the dream, and to focus, on substance.

Sen. Barack Obama has been given a great gift. Doors have been opened to him that were not available a few short decades ago. It is not necessary that he be elected President of the United States, in order for America to pass beyond this veil of latent racism that the Obama campaign and the Democratic Party demands we accept.

MLK’s dream did not require that a Black man be elected President for it to be fulfilled. One day a Black man will be elected President, but it won’t be this year. Why? Because Obama is going to lose for the same reason most Democrats lose in Presidential elections. They are leftists unfavorably judged by the lack of content of character.

Judged by the content of his character, I see a dangerous leftist, and have since February 2007. And like all such previous known leftists, I see a Presidential election loser. Eighteen months ago I said:

Barack Obama is an Out of the Mainstream Liberal McGovernite

Barack Obama is racing to beat Hillary for the McGovern mantle on the war. His voting record is as far left as any Democrat in the Congress. Yet, Biden calls him mainstream. In fact Biden calls him the first mainstream Black to seek the Presidency. Yet, one would be hard pressed to find any policy differences between him, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton. In fact, one would be hard pressed to find any Democrats beyond one standard deviation of Ted Kennedy.

Based on voting records and policy statements, (which are what matters), there are ZERO elected Democrats in DC save maybe Nelson in Nebraska and Lieberman on the war. Yet, the MSM is hard at work trying to make the lie that Obama is “mainstream” a Known Fact, due to his “tone.” Tone and a quarter will get you the same failed liberal policies that un-tone will. Tone, good looks and soothing rhetoric count for nothing unless they are employed for the right policies.

Obama didn’t stand a chance being elected in February of 2007, February of 2008 and especially not since we heard the din of the 20-year pew-parked butt in a hate whitey America Church who has to hide all the pals that could vouch for him in Church basements, university archives behind lock and key and/or federal prisons.

The American people vote on substance. His substance is far left, way outside the mainstream of American values.

I wrote months ago that the pathologies of the left, especially including those that look the other way and make Black kooks mainstream would not survive given that this thin reed wants the nukes. The pathologies of Southern whites had to be culled after King’s speech as well.

That is why he will lose, and in that process fulfill King’s dream rather than the leftist politically correct white guilt identity politics dream of the left.

I’m gonna pull a gamecock and say…Unrecommend the haystack blog!!!

I am saddened however, and find it tragic that the first black man to be nominated for POTUS is Barak Obama, a man so devoid of content of character that he poses an existential threat to the very country and culture that made his ascendence possible.

  • David_Hinz

can you imagine had Bill Clinton been the first President of the United States? Or Jimmy Carter?

We’d have all elected to go back as an English colony.

  • stang

But I still hope and pray to God that his record remain unblemished.

As to Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter as George Washington? There wouldn’t have been a First President of the United States. There wouldn’t have even been a United States.

…still a very good comparison of the differences between MLK’s fulfilled dream and the PC Leftist NIGHTMARE

    Well done GC, as always.

as a factor in America is the witnessing of the election that instead of 94% of the black American electorate voting for a single candidate, the split is roughly equal as it is now with the white population. Only then will ML King’s dream have truly been realized. The proud zeal expressed that “one of our brothers” has made the trip is understandable at this momentous crossroads in time. However, the big step will be evident when black Americans can look beyond the color of one’s skin.

A true “one America” is waiting for that moment and so am I.

One real test is for whites to quit looking the other way at black’s that are fools and call them fools. I call this the Pathology and since Obama wants the nukes, the avoidance is ending, hence Obama’s low poll numbers compared to most dems at this stage.

    landslide loss for the leftist

confront ignorance where I find it and unashamedly address it. My pragmatism is suppressed ever so slightly by a tinge of impressed white guilt, but my confidence in the righteousness of combating the erosion of what has made, and what is necessary to maintain, the existence of this great nation. We are all an army of one.

  • Lorimac

I saw one limp flag draped, folded behind Obama while he spoke his eloquent nothingness at his acceptance affair which was a comment in itself–will we now have to gild the White House? And did you hear anyone ask God to bless the USA?? What a farce !!!

I’ve been a bit puzzled as to why the Dems have put forth someone with so little time in public office and with so little experience or real ideas. I’ve come to think this may be what is going on: some very powerful special interests on the lib/Dem side are backing this guy, putting forth a black guy (“hey, people will vote for him out of guilt over the past”), someone who makes great speeches and is photogenic (image over substance, which is pretty much the coin of the Dem party). Obama if elected would be just a puppet of those folks. Maybe Biden was the fore-ordained VP pick all along…maybe he would be the REAL president. Maybe I’m just reading too much into things.

But certainly, with McCain and Palin, we have some real people. I’m elated over teh choice of Palin. I can feel the Dems shaking in their shoes.

    Think about it.

  • pinger

Yep! Well said. When we can look at someone and not think about the color but instead see the person, we’ll have made real progress.

It’s the folks who keep reminding us of skin color that are perpetuating this travesty.

BTW, I never mark those little boxes anymore that ask about my race, and I suggest that everyone esle do the same. At best those boxes keep some bureaucrat in power. Let’s work towards that color-blind society.

    Preach it to me brother.
Barack Obama, just another lefty trying to co-opt the American Dream.
    Loser indeed.

  • jonreagan

Great diary; I’d add that the Bill Ayres connection is getting far too little play. The Obama campaign is whining to the FCC, as well as threatening individual TV stations who run the Ayres spot from American Issues Project.

A candidate named Barack Hussein Obama, who launched his political career in the home of a man who bombed the Capitol and Pentagon, is now nominated for the Presidency. That this could happen anytime–especially in a post 9/11 world–is surreal to many of us.

Let’s hope that political correctness loses this time, and that people come to their senses.

  • Skanderbeg

    Well done, GC. (As usual.)

Funny thing – reading your discourse reminded me of something I wrote up and had to find. Sure enough, there it was back in the archives – from from way back in February!

(Hmm. In retrospect, was that the first time the phrase “Messiah” was used with regard to you-know-who? Royalties? :-) )

Take a stroll through there GC and let us know what you think….

  • vernonia

Sadly, Sen. Obama is just another in a long line of Dems that wants me to participate in his big government/small result schemes.

Sadly, his opponent wants me to participate in HIS big government, “National Greatness” schemes.

  • brizzle

Only a white man would have the gall to claim that white racism is no longer a factor in America. Wow, what a crock of nonsense…

First of all, white racism against blacks is alive and well…In Texas, in Oklahoma, in Mississippi, in California. I have seen it.

Second of all, white racism has now expanded to include browns…i.e. Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Guatemalans, Salvadorans, Brazilians, and on and on…

Third of all, white racism has expanded to include all immigrants. That is, racism has fused with nationalism so that all “non-white citizens” are being discriminated against.

This idea that all racism died with the firing of Frank Robinson is crazy-talk. Reports out of Colorado suggest that a group of white supremacists, including new-Nazis, were arrested for an assassination attempt on Senator Obama.

How does this fit your claim that white racism has abated?

And your claim that Senator Obama is “way outside the mainstream of American values” doesn’t fit the evidence. Tell me again what the polls say about Bush’s approval rating? Tell me again how frequently Senator McCain voted with Bush’s policies? Tell me again how closely Senator McCain’s policies match “the mainstream of American values”, because the mainstream media seems to think otherwise…

  • Jack_Savage

First of all, are you black? If not, then back off a little on the absolute moral authority thing.

Second, I am sure you have seen white racism. Just like I have seen black racism, and Jews talk about Italians and Italians talk about Poles and Belgians rag on the Dutch and the Dutch rag on the French. Welcome to the real world. Would you like a law passed where everyone is forced to like everyone else?

Somehow I get the feeling that you would not know racism if it bit you in the rear end. I was born, raised and live in what is supposed to be the hotbed of racism, the South, and have seen things change to the point where it is simply a non-factor to whites – that I CAN speak to. The blacks that cry “racism!” flatter themselves to think that hard working whites care enough about them to spend a minute of their precious time “keeping them down”.

What you don’t know about this is a lot.

  • kyle8

I don’t care what racism you think you have seen or actually have seen, equating people who are concerned over illegal immigration with racism won’t fly here.

And the whole gist of your post seems to be that only white people are racists. Well, I live in one of the most diverse cities in America and I can tell you I find Latinos who use the “n” word, Asians who hate on Latinos and Blacks who hate both of them.

I also know there are a lot of race hustlers who want to pretend that no progress has been made in race relations so they can continue to play the race card. Are you one of those?

  • djfritz

Then don’t speak about things you know nothing about. We have more black, Latin Mayors and Chief of police than most states in this Country. You sound as if you are the prejiduce one there fellow. Why not come on and join the human race.Every person in this Country has a fair chance to get an education and become anything they want. If you don’t want it them quit crying about what you can’t do. It is all on you my friend!!!

  • Jack_Savage

So are people in Texas racists, or not?

I really feel sorry for you in so many ways. Is this the best the left has to offer?

  • djfritz

Absolutely No, Texans are not racist. Everyone has a fair chance to an education and a good job. Some of my best friends are Black and Latino. We don’t see color. We see hearts.

  • Jack_Savage

I was trying to Reply To the person above, and got confused.

You are exactly right about The Lone Star State. I have been to Texas, and apparently mr. drizzle has not.
