Will Monrobama Doctrine let Russian bombers land in Georgias?

Or will he insist on O’Hare?

The supposed second coming of JFK, too tired for classy diplomacy with our closest ally and too busy planning a fundamentally changed America four years from now to address the present banking and credit crisis, will soon be confronted with his very own Cuban Missile Crisis:

Russia could use bases for its strategic bombers on the doorstep of the United States in Cuba and Venezuela to underpin long-distance patrols in the region, a senior air force officer said Saturday.

“If the will of the two states is there, the political will, then we are prepared to fly there” to the bases in Cuba, the agency quoted Zhikharev as saying.

Russia is a foreign, European power. Venezuela and Cuba are in the Western Hemisphere. Strategic bombers carry powerful nuclear missiles.

President John F. Kennedy on the 1823 Monroe Doctrine:

At an Aug. 29, 1962, press conference, President Kennedy warned Moscow: “The Monroe Doctrine means what it has meant since President Monroe (pictured) and John Quincy Adams enunciated it, and that is that we would oppose a foreign power extending its power to the Western Hemisphere, and that is why we oppose what is happening in Cuba today.”

Will a President that can’t a bide a bust of Winston Churchill gift from our oldest ally, as a sign of post-911 solidarity, occupying space in the White House enforce a doctrine enunciated 180 years before 911? Especially when he has already offered to sell out two of its former slave states in Poland and the Czech Republic that were promised SDI installations in exchange for Russia’s help in trying to persuade Iran to stay non-nuclear? The same Russia that helped Iran go nuclear?

Russia complains that the presence of American ships in the ports of the Georgia Republic justify consideration of the “offers” from Chavez and Castro. Georgia is another former slave state of the USSR that was invaded by Russia last year. As President Bush squelched Putin’s hopes to take over the whole nation, Senator Obama suggested moral equivalence between the invader and the invaded.

The new liberal Democrat President is being tested even earlier than Vice-President Joe Biden predicted last year and given the President’s disdain for old allies and apologies for American fault for the existence of enemies, is it really beyond the realm of possibility that Obama’s answer to the test could be allowing Russian bombers to land in Tilbisi and Atlanta, Georgia?

And if he wants to re-create Camelot, it would be easier to blockade an airport than a nation.

Obama is a post-Berlin Citizen of the World whose stimulus funds also go to illegal aliens. He opposed the border fence and would allow Venezuelans to drive to Chicago’s O’Hare with NY drivers licenses after all.

And the greatest attempt to make the Marxist dreams of his father a reality was tried in Russia.

Over 200 years ago, with God’s providence against all odds, given the ragtag army against the might of the British empire, we forged a nation founded upon the principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Obama is determined to preside over the demise of that selfsame nation.

Russia has been angling for this during the last couple of years of the Bush administration, knowing that Bush was a lame duck and the country more against him than with him. The Russians understand our politics better than we do sometimes. I don’t believe Russia is bent on conquest here so much as they are interested in keeping us sufficiently occupied in our own space while they are focused on “reclaiming” the glory of the USSR. After that is when I’d worry about Russia’s intentions toward our shores.

And, yes, Obama will allow it to happen because he doesn’t have the desire or ability to stop them.

You see where this is going: Equivalence of outcomes translates very nicely into treating our friends and enemies in the same way. Threaten a small independent nation on Russia’s border; and threaten to wipe out Isreal and you are just as welcome as the first day of Spring.

I am still sickened by Obama’s distancing himself from (for example) the United Kingdom by his snubbish diplomacy. Reaching out to dictators and Russia only follows from moral equivalence.

On the contrary, if you are a nation who has stood side by side the US through world wars and terrorist wars, then you are “no different” than all the other countries. Blech!

Russia whines that our defensive missiles near Russia are a provocation and Obama blinks, but their bringing their most powerful offensive weapons to Cuba is no big deal.

Lovely. Maybe when Obama lifts the travel restrictions we can go down there as tourists and snap some photos of the only bombers in the western hemisphere ever likely to be put to use.

Steph, and he doesn’t have a clue as to what it will mean when the Bears and Blackjacks start flying over the Keys, or up and down the Eastern seaboard. Further, he won’t care, either.
I’m sure he’s searching for allies in Central and South America to throw under the bus, ala the Czech Republic, Poland and Georgia.

Since he’s planning on cutting our defense spending, he’ll want to employ (or hire) Russian military forces to fill in the gaps to protect him from the enemy – American conservatives.

After all 1) Russia is not subject to the Posse Comitatis Act; and 2) they’ve proven in Chechnya their superior ability at suppressing domestic opposition.

Vladamir Putiin – he’s the mentor Barack’s been looking for: I’m sure Barack wouldn’t be making so many blunders if Vladamire was advising him.

years ago when he first ran for president and lost.

Of course the press here saw no problem with that and it was only lightly reported.

There are no surprises here, the man has been planing this for a couple of decades.

The Obamanation is the perfect ally for Putin to carry out his plan. They should compliment each other famously, after all they are both Anti-American!

Now let’s see stack that on top of the fact that the Red Chinese control the airstrips at the Panama Canal, (Thank you Gimmee Carter) and we have allowed the dogs of war to camp on our doorstep, almost entirely under Demoncrat administrations.

Oh did I mentions the Red Chinese Army controlled shipping company at I think it was Long Beach, CA. A Port that American companies wanted, but Slick Willie owed the Red Chinese for their donations and insisted they get it.

Of course Willie also authorized the transfer of computer technology to the Red Chinese that allowed them to target US cities under the guise of helping launch communication satellites. They were 20 years away from doing this without Clinton’s help.

    I believe I detect a pattern…
This is not your father’s Democrat party!

That how I’m feeling at the moment, BO is going to be resposnable for the killing of an entire generation of Americans not just economically but also on the battlefield, and more than likly he will NOT be the one giving the orders at the time, I hope at least.
