At least when Churchill was the leader of the free world, he didn’t face nukes

My president, the President of the United States is not the leader of the free world.

Excuse me while I sit down to weather the impact of this chilling fact and the likelihood that Barack Obama wouldn’t even aspire to be known by that appellation even if he understood the meaning of “free”. Maybe he would assume the mantle after a catastrophe, but I doubt it, unless the catastrophe directly affected his own personal quiet enjoyment of his own domicile, literally.

For doesn’t the highly educated President have the benefit of hindsight that Wilson and Chamberlain (pictured) lacked as they allowed Germany to rebuild their war machine in violation of the Versailles Treaty that ended the carnage of The Great War? Hasn’t Barack learned the lesson that only Churchill understood for six years before the 1940 Blitzkrieg? Wasn’t B. Hussein Obama an adult when Carter discovered the “ordinate fear of Communism” and the evil of the religious Ayatollah in Iran?

Or, does Obama simply not care about the Persian people? Hondurans? Georgians? Poles? Czechs? Ukrainians?

One of Obama’s first acts as President was to remove and return a bust of Winston Churchill to the UK that had been given to President George W. Bush soon after 911 as a symbol of their solidarity with the America people.

He then proceeded to throw the freedom-demanding Iranian people under the bus after a rigged election so as not to upset the dictatorial riggers he so wishes to summit with.

Iran has been continuously designated the most prolific sponsor of terrorism in the world since at least 1979. They waged war against American soldiers in Iraq. They threaten to wipe Israel of the map. They have missiles that will reach Israel and are close to developing a nuclear bomb that could level that small nation.

Obama rails against bedroom additions to Jewish homes on the West Bank.

Only the Prime Minister of Israel called out the evil institution of the United Nations for its shame in abiding Iran’s holocaust-denier.

I tremble in fear for Liberty and especially for the human beings that will be killed and/or subjected to tyranny during this era devoid of a superpower champion of Liberty.

What are freedom loving Americans to do? Must we form a “underground” movement to aid freedom fighters?

Pray for the Nation of Georgia and Honduras especially tonight.

My friends, the Miracle that is America is much more clearly revealed as a miracle today, because before there was an America, there was never a leader of the free world.

Pray that President Obama sees the light before his abdication plunges millions back into the darkness before The Shining City on a Hill made his cushy life possible.

    Very logical, too. How could Obama be the leader of the free world if the United States is “just another country”? And beyond that, Obama is proving every day that there is a big difference between being a leader and being an organizer.

    Our position on Honduras is telling. Where is our Secretary of State when our Dear Leader is oh so wrong?

    on ice for 4 yrs however you cannot take it away and when she explodes and she will the fireworks will be tremendous. I think we only need remember Reagan after Carter and how PATRIOTISM was every where. I think we should be ready for a massive explosion of patriotism in 2010, everyone will wear Red, White & Blue again. The military will hold their heads up high again. This is just a lull and Americans always rise to the occasion after a lull (or as I like to call them IDIOTS) :)

    To add to your above points on Iran, they are also supplying the terriorists in Afghanistan with weapons. A large cache was found which bore the markings of Iran. Iraq is slipping backwards, and there can be no doubt that Iran is filling the vaccums that are being left by the absence of American troops in many areas. Now we find out that Iran has another secret underground nuclear facility, and, there are reports that Obama knew about the facility back at the beginning of this year, yet he still insisted on having a little chat with Ahmadinijad. He stood with him, when he fraudently stole the election, and against the Iranian people. Yes, I agree, he has visions of doing the same here. Didn’t Gadafi say Obama should be president for life? Low and behold, the Gadafi Family Foundation is being given $400,000.

    Before Netanyaho’s UN speech, I watched as Bret Behr (Fox News) interviewed him. The man is brilliant, and all Behr wanted to know was if he plans to attack Iran. Netanyaho rightfully declined to answer, even though Behr kept pushing the issue. The disparity on the IQ levels was pronounced. When Netanyaho spoke to the UN assembly, I wanted to cheer for him, and cry for him at the same time. He knows that he has lost his greatest ally, the US. Hopefully he understands that it is only a temporary situation, and that a majority of Americans are as mortified with the current administration as he must be. I just pray that Isreal is not wiped off the map before we make some major Congressional changes, and render the idiot on steriods useless.

    “Before there was an America, there never was a leader of the free world.” That is a powerful statement Mike. America has represented freedom from tyranny for more than two hundred years, and to now see it crumble before our eyes…

    Returning the bust of Winston Churchill was the event that told me we had a serious problem in this presidency. It was more than just poor manners and a break with protocol; it told everyone that this President did not subscribe to the philosophy of fighting for freedom and not just being docile. The potential for appeasement and submission to dictatorships in the world was strong. As you have pointed out, nothing that has happened since indicates our fears are groundless.

    Netanyahu is not completely alone. Remember those two documents he flourished during his speech? There are only two ways he could have gotten them: someone gave them to him (a government) or he stole them.

    I don’t think he stole them.

    We’re used to putting Germany down because of history and some of the stupidities that have gone on since 9/11 but Merkel is of a, at least slightly, different makeup.

    As for us on the right, we’ve had the luxury the last few months of a grass-roots revolution putting the brakes on much of the Democrat domestic agenda.

    But it is time, very soon, for a leader to emerge. We need somebody to channel the movement, and possibly more important, to speak to the world on behalf of the better half of America.

    They can invoke the name of God or Allah and their power with alacrity if it serves their purpose, but you cannot believe in God and be a practicing communist because you can’t deal with all that absolute morality stuff. That said, there is less imcompatability between being a Muslim and a communist than being a Christian and a communist. Basically, any moral rules for Muslims only apply in dealing with other Muslims; you can treat infidels however you want and lying to them is encouraged.

    It would seem to me that if Obama was really a Communist, he would be much more friendly to China and Castro than he is. Being a Communist does not explain his antipathy towards Jews and Israel. Maybe American Jews do not see this but Israelis by over a 20 to 1 ratio think that Obama is not on their side.

    I have raised this question earlier: opinions range from yes, but then watch out for the American people to become really angry at NObama’s idiocy, to no, which really opens up a can of Hyrda-headed worms!

    The other pertinent questions: if denied over-flight permission, will the Iraqi government be blamed for saying NO, with NObama simply shrugging his shoulders and saying he could do nothing about it? Variation: NObama says NO, and is proud of it, proclaiming he is keeping the peace!

    2011: sensing NObama is a one-term loser, and knowing that a Republican successor would likely vaporize them, Iranian lunatic Ahmedinejad attacks Israel, and perhaps attempts to take out our Persian Gulf fleet with smaller nuclear missiles.

    Removing Iran’s capability to build nuclear bombs would prevent some really awful problems.

    Stopping an Israeli air-raid or shooting down Israeli planes would be very unpopular.

    Dictators are his favorite people so far: Castro, Chavez, Putin, Zelaya, Khaddafi, etc.

    The middle possibility, that he will use the Iraqi government as a proxy to forbid Israeli over-flights, is the best for NObama.

    Disingenuousness is his main attribute, and this scenario would fit.

    They’re killing their “own people” not those “insidious outsiders”. Not to mention that Mao killed more Chinese than Stalin killed Russians. Hitler’s death camps were just a drop in the bucket in comparison.

    I’d definitely swing him more toward the Stalin side. The Holodomor and the Great Leap Forward seem to suggest that communism brings starvation.

    But in recent years, to my eyes, China’s been doing more agitation against Japan and the US than against internal counterrevolutionaries.

    Kinda. But that’s precisely where the drive to build their industrial base comes from – along with Hong Kong (before “reunification”) and Taiwan. That’s blue smoke and mirrors, even though there IS about 7,000 years worth of reasons to hate the Japanese.

    The internal counterrevolutionalries, OTHO, are pretty well contained internally. The Chinese do a much better job than, say, the Iranians at keeping their people “in line”. Heck, they do a better job than the Russians ever did.

    but not the will to use them. Israel has the will, but not the bunker busters. Given his public stance (or lack of one), I don’t see Obama going public with it, but I hope he’s making them available to Netanyahu privately, so the Israelis don’t have to resort to more arcane weaponry to achieve the needed effect. If they attack, it won’t be with the half measures of the previous administration. Netanyahu will do what is necessary to get the job done.

    Obama’s certainly NOT the leader of the free world, and if he wants to have his chestnuts pulled out of the fire on this one, he’d better acquiesce to the man who is. I’m sure Netanyahu would be happy to agree to a non-disclosure agreement.

    Mike, you are right on target. As I read the transcript of the Obama’s U.N. speech, two things became abundantly clear:

    1. If Obama and his administration have their way, the America Century is over.

    2. Israel is going to have to do the job on its own.

    Progressives have never liked the United States being the “leader of the free world” because, ultimately, the foundation that the United States was founded upon is diametrically opposed to their ideology, Hence the Left’s love affair with the Soviet Union (until the full magnitude of Stalin’s crimes became apparent), then its love affair with China (until Mao’s genocide became apparent), and then it’s love affair with…well, any communist/socialist country that would denounce the United States.

    Fast forward to the Obama Administration. This is what happens when someone schooled in the Progressive/Communist movement coming out of the 1950′s and 1960′s becomes President. There is no need to acknowledge or further America’s leadership, because that leadership is neither wanted nor desired, and ‘international community” is the Left’s code word for a weakened United States.

    As far as Israel is concerned, after his strong denouncement of Israeli settlements, and no direct word on the hundreds of rockets fired into its territory, you could almost hear the engines on their F-16′s and F-15′s spooling up. The Israeli government has to know that this government is not going to assist them with removing Iran as an existential threat (outside of intel that might be being backchanneled by the CIA – if anyone is that daring in Langley right now). As far as the Israelis not having the ordinance to do the job, that may or may not be so. They have proved to be remarkably well-adept at developing their own high-tech weaponry, especially over the past decade or so.

    If there hasn’t been one or more airstrikes on Iran by this point next year, I would eat my proverbial hat.

    6. Trying to proscute the CIA Agents- A Very top priority for OBAMA!!!!!!

    7. Trying to cripple the economy by trying to take over:

    The Banks
    Car companies
    Factories

    Just like the governments did in communist countries!

    8. Running more stimulus programs:
    like Cash for clunkers.
    Cash for vacations
    Cash for appliances

    at least once a year running deficits for centuries.

    9.Starting Trade Wars with other Countries.

    10. Cut military spending and get rid of the nuclear weapons the United States has because Obama believes there is no need for them!

    11. Imposing more czars to short circuit the Constituion .

    12.Making the unions more powerfull!
    like SEIU and NEA to name two well know unions. So everyone as Obama puts says will be protected and so will their jobs.

    America beware this man is trying to rip down 233 years of Freedom. Hold Obama accountable for his actions. Press your Representatives to listen to your concerns! Make your Senators Care! Write them often!

    Every great nation in history is just that, history.
    While I don’t doubt America will be waving the flag in a few years when the Opologist in Chief is gone, we should not allow ourselves to believe that the US is somehow incapable of faltering. We are faltering.

    We are at a crossroads. Historicallly nations in our position were on the brink and few pulled back from the edge.

    If we don’t radically (or reactionarily) pull back from socialism/statism in the next couple of years(elections) we never will. If we don’t get our economic house in order, our debt will sink us. It can happen, it is seriously close to happening.

    Or we can return to actual constitutional government, clear the entitlement slate and stop the Fed’s presses. We do have a chance. It will still be hard work to pay off the debt but we could do it. And then?
    Like a rocket we go and never look back. But this is only an optional future and we have to take the option.

    As the great Yogi Bera said “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.”
