He needs to state continuously how he wants to restore our economic greatness by unleashing the American spirit that made us the envy of the rest of the planet. He should remind Americans that simple concepts like low taxes and free markets created unprecedented wealth and prosperity for our citizens...and that he has experience creating wealth and operating successfully within free markets, while his opponent has made a career out of badmouthing this nation and trying to turn us into soon-to-be-bankrupt-and-in-crisis Europe.

I have my complaints about Romney, but his dedication to capitalism and restoring our economic greatness aren't among them. Since this election will be won or lost on matters economic and business, he should proceed as such.

I was a young engineer, just a few years out of college.

The country was prosperous. So much so that recruiters were calling me at all hours with job offers, there were so many job openings for someone like me.

I would like to tell that to today's Class of 2012, who have to live with their parents or take jobs as burger-flippers.

Obama is like a lot of other folks on the Left: Ambivalent about America. But I maintain that you can't lead a country--or represent a country to the rest of the world--if you're not truly proud of it.

We've had many leaders--both Republican and Democrat--who believed deeply in the goodness of this country. And that belief was infectious.

We need a leader like that again.

I was a child of the 80s...a time when Reagan was a source of strength and confidence in the greatness of America as we were dueling with the Soviet Union.

Sodas were 50 cents...you could ride your bike around town, look around and see family-owned small businesses secure in the knowledge that our president had their prosperity deeply in mind every day. Family was a way of life. Traditions were the foundation of our being, and we fought to preserve them.

What our country has become under Barack Obama is a disgrace. We have kept our heads above water IN SPITE OF HIM, not because of him.

The only way to honor those who fought to deliver the greatest nation on Earth is to replace this abomination of a president with one that understands America's greatness and will work like hell to reinstate her.

Great diary, GC...rec'd highly.
