Memo to McCain-Palin: Does Biden employ a hooded Muslim Sister?

Why do Republicans feel compelled to give presidential campaign ticket advice to Democrats and where is all this undeserved love and respect for Hillary coming from?

Yes, Vice President Joe Biden is a dullard  that regularly repeats Democratic Party lies, up to and including that Republicans want to put Blacks back in chains and reduce Medicare for current seniors. And yes, he regularly forgets what century we are in and overlooks the presence of wheelchairs.

Did the 2008 losing GOP ticket miss President Barack Obama’s agreement with Biden’s “back in chains” remark and reference to America’s “Fifty-Seven” states? Did they miss his Stimulus, Obamacare and coal-industry destroying EPA regulations?

We ask, because for some reason both former Alaska Governor and current Fox News Contributor, Sarah Palin and Senator John McCain recently felt compelled to contribute free, public advice to President Obama and Democratic Party convention delegates that they would be wise to replace Biden with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, her aide’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood notwithstanding, on their 2012 ticket that will face our own Republican Party’s Romney/Ryan counterparts.

Palin to Greta Van Susteren:

“There weren’t enough groans and boos when he said such a disgusting comment, really, especially to a demographic there that is — includes about 48 percent of the community being black Americans,” Palin said. “Greta, if that’s not the nail in the coffin, really, the strategists there in the Obama campaign have got to look at a diplomatic way of replacing Joe Biden on the ticket with Hillary. And I don’t want to throw out that suggestion and have them actually accept the suggestion because then a Obama-Hillary Clinton ticket would have a darn good chance of winning.”

“But really,” she continued. “Joe Biden really drags down that ticket.”

McCain to ABC News:

“I think it might be wise to do that but it’s not going to happen obviously, for a whole variety of reasons,” McCain said in an interview.  “I’m not sure if I were Hillary Clinton I would want to be on that team,” ABC News quoted the senator, as saying, adding: “I think her ambitions frankly are for 2016 and I’m not sure that would enhance that likelihood.”

Did Sarah and John miss Hillarycare? Did they miss then Senators Clinton and Obama’s two votes to defund U.S. forces in the field in Afghanistan and Iraq? Did they miss the Secretary’s characterization of Syria’s Assad regime as “moderate” when the Obama Administration restored diplomatic relations with them in 2009?

In short, is the threat to America any less dire from Obama, Hillary or Biden; or, for that matter, any prominent Democrat that still admits publicly to being a Democrat?

Yes, I remember when there were real moderate to conservative Democrats, especially when it comes to national security, but the last one was named Joe Lieberman and he was forced out of the party when he dared to oppose the unpatriotic BushLied era while American troops were gathering intelligence in Iraq that would keep our homeland safe after 911 and lead to the eventual killing of Osama bin Laden.

Hillary is not a moderate. Obama is no more fit to be president than Biden and it doesn’t help the conservative, GOP or American causes for prominent Republicans to pretend otherwise.

Yes, it would be best for America if our choice on Election Day didn’t include any major party ticket member that was unfit to be the Chief Executive and Commander in Chief, but John F. Kennedy has been dead for nearly fifty years and Lieberman isn’t running.

Why do people on our side do this??? They just can’t control their mouths.

Hillary is a disaster as Sec. of State, as seen by the tumult in the Middle East, not the mention the Chinese dissident issue and many others? She is incompetent at best. She would be nearly as bad as Obama.

When the team that has for almost four years tried to push this country off the cliff and you see there’s a real possibility that they could drown, do not throw them anything that could possibly be a lifesaver. Just sit back, be quiet, and let the Democrats fret and worry about this loose cannon. Joe may be one of our best spokesmen for swinging some undecideds our way.

    Don’t y’all get it?

This was a Karl Rove play. The twinkle in Palin’s eye when she “suggested” that Biden step aside for Clinton was priceless. She knew her advice was a preemptive strike.

    This is a gift. (Y’all)

Note that Jay Carney, practically sniffing with arrogance, took the bate a few minutes ago.

Plus the Dems look like cheap-shot artists all repeating the same line about not wanting J-Mac’s advice on a VP choice.

on defense and off talking points.

Hill would never take the job if you ask me, but stranger things have happened.

killed two birds: place doubt in voters minds about Biden’s fitness (in case there are still some unaware that live under rocks) and took them off message and made Team O look foolish for defending the gauffer!!

And, Carney with his emphatic “Yes” to keeping Biden will be played over and over if O changes horses.

The problem that ails this country are primarily non-JFK Democrats, and the last one of those left the scene in 1963. Yes, we have RINOs but all modern day Dems are FAR LEFTISTS, even if Bill had the sense to be tamed by Newt to get re-elected.

Hillary is a far left radical.

but one of the reasons Americans think that are people like Sarah and McCain that lend credence to that lie.

abandoning the Right Reverent than he would he mother? O, he had already abandoned her by not wanting her at Hahvahd because she was too white (her bio), and then Jeremiah went under the bus. But I would not want the Hill to run. She still has wide support among older women who are otherwise Rep.

her credibilty when as your post stated, um, she ain’t so great.

But it seems like a risk, and it would surprise me if Sen. McCain in particular were that clever.

I believe the media is jumping on this because they feel a switch would help Obama. I fear they won’t stop for the next 3 weeks. We’re already seeing articles questioning Biden’s health.

This is one of the least insightful posts I have read here that has been recommended. Both naive and simplistic.

First let me say that neither McCain or Palin said that they thought Hillary was a moderate or even somebody they want as VP or who would make a good VP. Show me where they said any of that? They said it would give Obama a better chance to win. Do you disagree? How many think this isn’t true? Its obvious and most already know this.

Second, Palin said she hopes they don’t take her advice. You didn’t seem to notice this part of her statement. They don’t want Hillary as VP. They could care less whether Biden or Hillary are the actual VP. VP’s do nothing anyway. Its all about strategic politics and hurting OBAMA and winning THIS election! You do want that don’t you?

Do you think Palin thinks they will take her advice? Or that the Dems haven’t thought about it already and now they have this brand new idea because Palin came up with it for them? Or that if they do replace Biden with Hillary they will publicly give credit to Palin in any way? Even then McCain and Palin can play the shadow administration and give Obama more advice. That would be a positive and hurt Obama in the future even if they did make the change.

There are a number of reasons to do what Palin and McCain did.

1-Its gets the Biden “RACIST” attack on Republicans more play. This is a good thing isn’t it? Both Romney and Ryan are going after Biden for what he said both in the racist part via Romney as well as the gaffe part via Ryan. You have seen those videos haven’t you? The more its talked about the better, right? BTW, have you heard even one voice from the Romney-Ryan camp who are unhappy about this? Its been two plus days and not one complaint, except from you and Michael Reagan.

2-It puts Biden on gaffe watch making him a joke and putting pressure on him in the future.

3-It forces the Dems hand to state publicly TODAY that Biden will be the VP. Which they have done. This is good isn’t it?

4-It cuts off the Biden is sick strategy they might have been planning in the coming days. Now if they play the sick card they will look like liars and phonies and cowards. As well as stupid for putting Biden on the ticket in the first place.

5-Most importantly, it makes Dems look like they are taking Palins advice if they do put Hillary on the ticket. There was a 3000 post article at Huffingtonpost attacking Palin and defending Biden over this. You have to atleast admit if they do put Hillary on the ticket now that its going to look pretty funny and will drive most liberals crazy that Palin suggested it. This will cause problems for them, not help them. Do you actually think they will use Palins advice as cover?

Listen, they might still make the change. I think it will help the Dems by 3-4 points if they did. Palin and McCain will not have caused it however. This is an excellent attempt to try and stop them from doing it. The best way I could have imagined. The idea Palin suggesting it somehow makes it more likely is kind of laughable.

As for your first question….”"Why do Republicans feel compelled to give presidential campaign ticket advice to Democrats”"…..So they won’t take it.

Yes, this could have been a Machiavellian move, but I doubt it. But even if it is, I think the net effect is a negative one because it continue the myth that Hillary and other Dems are much different from Obama.

But your last line was a good one and I recommend it. smile
