Wind Industry lost 10,000 Jobs under Obama

So much for his green energy initiative.

http://nation.foxnews.com/wind-energy/2012/04/17/wind-industry-has-lost-10000-jobs-under-obama

So we have Solyndra, Wind Industry debacles, etc.

You know, the only area of the Oil Industry has grown is on private land, which Obama tried to shut that down too.

I would really love to go after Obama on these issues, if not for Romney’s record of Governor.

The really sad part is that we do have a candidate that can use this against Obama easily.

Romney may be able to hit Obama on the Drilling Ban though, particularly the plagerism of the report the White House used as justification for the ban.

Anyways, I thought people would find it amusing that Obama’s prize Wind Industry lost 10,000 jobs.

You do this, imagining horrible things about Romney, because he rubs you the wrong way. He rubs me the wrong way too.

Not saying give the guy a break. Have at it. But please latch on to the goal of ejecting Obama. I realize you think Newt can do the job. Truth is, Newt’s toast. Don’t take up with Dem interlopers who play on your sincerity. Play your own hand.

I looked into Romney, I looked into Gingrich, I watched all the debates.

Since this is what I’m currently paying attention to, I’m like a walking database on the subject. When I say that Romney can’t use a line of attack because of his own record, I’m being completely honest.

Romney’s problem is he has his own Solyndras, from his days as Governor.

[quote]Just under three weeks into his term as governor, Romney brought a $1.5 million check to Konarka, a well-connected solar startup in Lowell, Mass., itching to buy a new pilot production assembly line.

Four other companies also scored renewable energy subsidy awards that same day, including Evergreen Solar, which won $2.5 million for a major expansion and to cover operating losses as it tried to become profitable.
Also that day, Romney announced plans to take $15 million from Massachusetts’ Renewable Energy Trust Fund – a pot of more than $150 million collected from electricity customers following passage of a 1998 energy deregulation law – and start up a new private venture capital outfit that would back green-minded state businesses with equity, loans and management advice. I remembered it being mentioned early in the primary, and just had to dig up the source.

No, I don’t like the fact that they got their information from Politico, since it is a left wing hack job of a site, but it does let us know that the Dems already know about this.

I played through the entire general election from what I know of the candidates: Romney, Santorum, Gingrich, Perry, and Cain, and how they stacked up to Obama from a baggage standpoint. I may have posted a diary concerning Gingrich, Santorum, and Romney, I know I made a post on the subject.

Yeah I know I don’t like Romney, but even if I did, I would have been alarmed.

Now, there is a way around this, if we can prove this initiative was the pet project of the legislature of MA at the time, and Romney couldn’t stop it so he tried to limit the damage, then we are in business. Who knows, as far left as Democrats are in MA, that may be the case, I don’t live in that State, so there may be some records that people can get from their state records, that I can’t look at (and hopefully there is).

Otherwise, we’d be shooting Romney in the foot if we bring this up.

Remember I play chess, so I’m not only thinking what our next move should be, I’m looking at how Obama will probably counterpunch and if we can then counterpunch the counterpunch. The worst thing for a politician is to accuse someone of something in a national campaign, only for people to point out you did the same thing a few years ago.

However, we could get lucky, if someone whom lives in MA could consult their state archives, cause if this was really a legislature pet project, we have the counterpunch to Obama’s counterpunch.

BTW, Gallup used a sample size of 2265 RV. That outlier CNN poll showing Obama +9 used 910 and WAY oversampled Dems in relation to party affiliation.

No one disputes that Newt would be a good candidate. But as Viet71 pointed out, you run with poor company when you do little more than bash the GOP nominee to take out a Soviet-era style socialist.

How they tried to paint it that Gingrich was a hypocrit, and it was really all about the fact Clinton had an affair.

The most damaging thing for a politician is to be proven to by a hypocrit. Fortunately for Gingrich, we all know that the impeachment was about the fact Clinton lied under oath, so it wasn’t hypocracy.

Anyways, Romney can’t use this no matter how high he is in the polls unless we can prove what went on while he was governor was due to the legislature.

Gingrich can use this all day against Obama. Sure he once supported some environmental stuff, but he has none of the scandals associated with it like Solyndra.

So is there anyone from MA that can look into this?

all of the above. How many of the companies are still in biz? BOs record isn’t good. And what is the % of state $’s vs. % of allocated budget (not fair to compare state vs., fed budget). The admin’s record correlates to pay for play as in big donors get ficticious companies with grants and mega-subsidies and then fold with no accountability. What is the MA outcome?

The fed’s ideas are a huge massive failure and the other might have been made in good but stupid intentions, both stupid, but all states want to attract jobs and give incentives to get them..again don’t agree.

Some I’m on the side of not enough proof that R=O but I will say loudly, hallalulah as you seem to be comin’ around :)

            http://www.scribd.com/doc/35810786/Impact-of-Wind-Turbines-on-Market-Value-of-Texas-Rural-Land

Which basically shows how wind hurts the environment and the scenery. Rural land owners that are now becoming part of the metroplex & are horrified by the sound and loss of property values…not to mention they’re killing bald eagles in mass in CA. And I can’t stand the green lefties that hate oil but this is way worse as I do care about property rights and our American symbol of freedom.

a small pittance that this is not news to all the workers who lost their semi-subsidized jobs and really thought Gov’t Investments were a sure thing.

Wonder how they will vote, shortly.

{Answer me this: If a wind power worker loses their job, because nobody’s buying, does it Blow,or Suck?
    Being a conservative, Eye gets cornfused really easier}
