CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A torrential downpour that struck Charlotte  Saturday  afternoon damaged the Mount Rushmore-style sand sculpture bust  of President  Obama — an ominous beginning to what many fear is a plagued  convention.

Workers were trying Saturday afternoon to reform the base of the  sculpture,  built from sand brought in from Myrtle Beach, S.C., pounding  and smoothing out  the sand that had washed off the facade of the waist-up rendering of the chief  executive.

I thought people would find this amusing, I seriously believe that the American people wouldn’t be amused by this sculpture, and it would drive more people into the Republican camp.

1. It wouldn’t surprise me if the sculpture was taxpayer funded.

2. It is the kind is idiocy we see from a self-absorbed dictator.

3. Considering the economic state of the country, this kind of waste is insulting to the American people.

This is hopefully a good wake up call to Democrats that still have a sense of rationality left, that the DNC has gone off the deep end.  I mean what are the Democrats going to do next pledge of allegience to Obama?  Wait didn’t they already do that, as well as getting little kids sing songs to praise the glory of Obama?

Folks, I may not like Romney (I don’t think he’s an entirely bad guy anymore, but there are still some things I don’t like), I’ve made no secret about it either, but I don’t think Romney is so full of himself that he’d have monuments churned out like a 2nd rate Dictator.

Quite frankly I’m surprised Romney isn’t beating Obama by 20 pts right now.
