MEMBER DIARY

For Memorial Day, a Tribute to Us and Those Like Us

Checkmate asked for me to make a post into a diary. In honor of her Dad who served in two wars, I am.

And I got this. Dolly Parton.

Lee Greenwood has some thoughts.

Red Skelton has some thoughts on the flag they fought to protect.

And because I’m a Marl Levin fan, this.

And finally, John Wayne has something to say.

Don’t know why they don’t show up in the diary, but what the hey.

I hope you don’t mind if I include one more. I’m posting the long version which starts with the songwriters talking about how the Angel Flight project came about, with the song starting at 2:35. The reason for the long version is because it includes the angel wing flare pattern at 5:20 followed by the 21-gun salute.

In honor of my family members and all those who fought over the years, but especially my father-in-law who fought in WWII and was at Hiroshima about 3 weeks after the bomb and my uncles who fought in Korea & Vietnam. May God bless all American soldiers and their families.
