And the fact her actual accomplishments are just as thin as Romney's.

Neither one of them is anything but talk.

and making the ledge much more red than it is. It's too close for comfort right now with the numbers in the State house and state senate. At times, I think Tom Craddick should be the nominee for the presidency in 2012 or maybe Micheal Williams. Too many good conservatives here in Texas.

We're 30 months from Iowa. A lot can happen. I think it's fair to say Romney is the frontrunner, but Palin, Pawlenty, Pence, Giuliani, and others all have scenarios in which they could beat Romney.

Everybody has to go through Iowa and New Hampshire, and Romney's status as front runner loads him up with greater expectations. Ever considered the possibility that Romney might finish third in Iowa behind Huckabee and say Pawlenty? Do you think that would help him in New Hampshire. Suppose Giuliani becomes Governor, and further suppose that all of New Hampshire's independent voters vote in the GOP primary in 2012 (Obama runs uncontested). Think a Giuliani or a Pawlenty couldn't surprise Romney in New Hampshire?

Now multiply these scenarios by a thousand. The only certain thing at this point is uncertainty.

Thanks.

Goes something like stop worrying about bridges we won't approach for another year and a half! Much bigger bridges looming close ahead for worrying about!

Obamacare = Golden Gate Bridge x 10, FYI.

I was a big Fredhead the last time around, but I agree that the next nominee needs to be someone who did NOT run in 2008.

Losing to McCain in the primaries in 2008 should be a permanent bar against seeking the Presidency, just as those who lost to Dole in 1996 should digest the reality of their political pull.

Were he somehow to win the nomination, it will be as the Bob Dole slot holder, and Obama will trounce him regardless of how bad things are.

Now, can we please get back to 2010 and stopping this current insanity in DC?

Ronald Reagan is NOT coming back to life...

....we are going to have to find another leader...

....Sure we suffered through four years of Carter and then we got Reagan...I even said this a time or two myself - we call that rationalizing...

forget 2012. We need to start developing viable and successful candidates for the congressional elections.

We also need to start by redefining who we are as Republicans and what we have to offer to American. I would offer these three issues that we need to address in order to win over the American voters.

First, smaller government, less taxes. This is clearly the most important issue that faces the US under the democrats. It defines who we are and draws a contrast between the socialist government and the capitalist society. It is time for Americans to choose.

Solving the immigration issue.is second. That solution is not one where the government simply waves the amnesty wand to make the proble morph into a greater problem. Instead, the govenment needs to recognize that undocumented means illegal. What we have today is a congress that hopes to pacify illegals so that they can get their vote and there cheap labor. Of course, all of that comes at the expense of American who we are told would not do that kind of work. Ask my 18 year old if he would like to take some of the constuction jobs that go to the cheaper paid illegal employee who doesn't pay taxes. Add to that the drug gangs and people runners and we can thank our elected official and Napolitano for the chaos at the border. Security demands a no amnesty answer.

The third thing that needs to be fixed with our country and party os that we have to get away from this one world philosophy. That means bringing back our manufaturing base to our country. I don't want to hear that it can't be done. It can and it will get done with th eright leadership. One reason why Regan was elected in landslides was becasue he appealed to a broad group of people. Union workers loved him because as individuals they believed in America first as he did. Congress needs to stop using the government as the stimulus for growth and promote a healthy business climate that stimulate true economic growth. That means lower taxes. That means less gorenment spending, especially wasteful pork laden spending.

Start talking up your candidates if they are on this three point plan. Let's take back our country!!!
