I had completely forgotten this little tid-bit of fact, or rather is was blurred in my aging memory. It is a point not often brought up by anyone in the media, although vauge references are made to the fact that Hamas governs Gaza, while they pity the citizens of that land.

Soon, the entire world will be quoting that mis-statement “Gazans are forced to lash out with missiles” that has been made by many correspondents, but we are reminded by Professor Oren that it is the reverse that is the truth.

In a report published exclusively by Drudge a Russian professor makes some claims, quoted below:

Professor Igor Panarin said in an interview with the respected daily IZVESTIA published on Monday: “The dollar is not secured by anything. The country’s foreign debt has grown like an avalanche, even though in the early 1980s there was no debt. By 1998, when I first made my prediction, it had exceeded $2 trillion. Now it is more than 11 trillion. This is a pyramid that can only collapse.”

He predicted that the U.S. will break up into six parts – the Pacific coast, with its growing Chinese population; the South, with its Hispanics; Texas, where independence movements are on the rise; the Atlantic coast, with its distinct and separate mentality; five of the poorer central states with their large Native American populations; and the northern states, where the influence from Canada is strong.

It’s worth noting that Professor Panarin is a leading Russian political analyst, not a financial analyst.

I haven’t been around much lately, hardly at all in fact. But, I took the time to stop by today to read up on what my friends were saying, and I realized that it was my birthday. I’m a grown up RedStater now, with 1,094 days under my belt.

It’s been a great 3 years here, I have gotten mad about 345 times, sad a few, aggravated several dozen times, make that a lot, but I always come back because, this is where the future of our democracy lies.

I firmly believe that everyone here will have a chance to change destiny, and keep this country from sliding into the abyss of the left.

I have seen no better debate, anywhere on the Internet, that is intelligent debate with meaningful results.

Sooner or later, one of these frequent stories will be real, could it be this time?

The JP is reporting that the AIVD (Dutch Intelligence) has called off an operation aimed at infiltrating and sabotaging Iran’s weapons industry due to an assessment that a US attack on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program is imminent.

The report claimed that the Dutch operation had been “extremely successful,” and had been stopped because the US military was planning to hit targets that were “connected with the Dutch espionage action.”

The impending air-strike on Iran was to be carried out by unmanned aircraft “within weeks,” the report claimed, quoting “well placed” sources.

A little known widget we can use here on RedState caught this unsuspecting perpatrator unwares as he posted his first post, and it was a poorly veiled attempt to swipe at Sarah Palin.

Our new technology was able to tap his webcam and capture his expression as he hit the Save button on his very first diary.

It’s time to remind the electorate of one little fact, and that fact is that the extreme factions in the Middleast have a huge interest in an Obama win.

They will no doubt feel emboldened and there is sure to be a surge if Obama wins, however it won’t be a US Military surge, it’ll be a Jihad surge of the utmost importance.

Remember this little ditty, this showed up around the world when it became clear that Obama was a front runner in the primary.

And then there was this little fellow stating how Hamas would love to see Mr. Obama in the White House. Ahmed Yousef, if you need to be reminded, is the poliltical policy maker for Hamas…

It’s time to bring this back out of the closet and shout about it some more.

A group of graduates, well established in their careers, were talking at a reunion and decided to go visit their old university professor, now retired. During their visit, the conversation turned to complaints about stress in their work and lives. Offering his guests hot chocolate, the professor went into the kitchen and returned with a large pot of hot chocolate and an assortment of cups – porcelain, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite – telling them to help themselves to the hot chocolate.

As President Bush visited Lincoln Electric in a NE suburb of Cleveland, FBI agents raided the Cuyahoga County office building in a SW suburban Cleveland. After a long investigation into one county commissioner and the county Auditor, the FBI moved in yesterday and cordoned off the 3rd and 4th floors of the county office building.

Bringing in extra manpower from the Pittsburgh office, they removed 3 U-Haul truckloads of records from the county offices and three area construction companies. The IRS is also involved in the investigation.

Local county government has been dominated by the Democratic party for years, and this is seen locally as a huge blow to their party.

Prime targets in the investigation are Jim Dimora, county commissioner, Frank Russo, Auditor and Kevin Kelley a county worker building a $400,000.00 house on an island in Lake Erie on a salary of $114,000.00 a year, oh a second home that is. He already has a home in his home county.
