Thieves steal Mojave cross

Thieves steal Mojave cross

Remember the Mojave Desert War Memorial? The one the ACLU wanted to tear down? On April 28th, the Supreme Court saved it, handing Veterans a victory, but as of last night (May11th), it’s gone. Stolen. Someone cut the bolts, felled the cross, and disappeared. The theft adds to the lunacy playing out across the nation—kids being asked to remove patriotic clothes; a teacher deeming a flag-painting offensive; seniors being told to pray in silence…. It’s as if the Left is seeing how far they can push it.

Kelly Shackelford, CEO of Liberty Institute, put it in perspective, saying: “This is an outrage akin to desecrating people’s graves. It’s a disgraceful attack on the selfless sacrifice of our veterans. We will not rest until this memorial is re-installed.”

Thomas Tradewell, VFW Commander, added: “This was a legal fight that a vandal just made personal to 50 million veterans, military personnel and their families. To think that anyone can rationalize the desecration of a war memorial is sickening, and for them to believe they won’t be apprehended is naïve.”

Personal. Sickening. Disgraceful. Vets symbolize what is good in America. The thief who did this represents what is bad. And there is no middle. The war in America is an age-old war and must be fought with old tactics. Truth and facts are weapons of the right. They must be deployed with vigor against the Left.

It would be deserved, but would probably be painted as “right-wing” violence.

in Arizona who, for whatever reason, thought it would be a good idea to get rip roaring drunk, then shoot at the base of a giant saguaro cactus from close range. Well, the more they shot, the more they drank…until they were too drunk to realize the cactus was falling.

The cactus crushed and killed one of the idiots and I can’t recall if the second one lived or died. But I remember the story because it was one of those ‘aha’ moments about the irony of blind justice…or Karma from a cactus.

After posting the above, I had to search for it on the internet and once I found it (see below) realize why I remembered it so well.

This happened when I was a junior in high school (in AZ) and we used to go to the lake where this idiot was killed, so it was morbidly funny news at the time.

    Doesn’t make it less despicable.

They made a video of themselves and sent it to their friends and it will surface soon, or the steel beams will be reconsecrated at Burning Man this year.
