MEMBER DIARY

Texans for Ron Paul and Ted Cruz

I don’t belong to any such organization, but this is how I am going to vote in the second week of  Texas’ “Early Voting.”

I don’t dislike Mitt, but I think the Party establishment has erred on the side of  “old white guys who paid their dues and deserve the nomination” for too long.  Like Bob Dole and John McCain. Both, good guys, but neither Presidential Rock Stars nor winners (and yes, I voted for them, anyway).

Ron Paul may be “bat-s**t crazy,” as some and my wife have said (she’s voting for him, too), but he’s been honest, consistent, and legitimately concerned about our Congressional economy. Ron’s not likely to win, but his delegates may be able to influence the Party Platform for the better.

Ted Cruz is a Tea Party candidate, and I can’t but agree with their anti- Establishment Party views. He, too, is Harvard-educated, and born-in-Canada will not be distracted by some future Presidential bid from representing Texas.  Besides, it can’t hurt the Republican Party to have a few more Hispanic candidates to bolster their “street-creds.”  Although somebody should take note that running Cuban-American candidates in Mexican-American districts may not be perfect.

Texans:  our votes don’t count much in this year’s season, because San Antonio Justices delayed our votes. But please go out anytime this week, or a week from Tuesday,  and cast your votes whatever they may be!

he is neither conservative nor a real republican.

  • commonsenseobserver

But at this time, we must unite around Governor Mitt Romney to lead the United States, and our party, as the next President.

  • GreyCloak

I’m happy you also had a Bush Governor; please vote however you like in Florida and leave us Texans to vote our own conscience.

I would like to know what you consider to be a “conservative” or a “real Republican.” I respect other’s opinions.

  • GreyCloak

Mickey, I noticed that you agree with me on Ted Cruz. Y’all have a similar fellow named Rubio. Please consider that I used the same criteria to arrive at my decision to vote for both Texas candidates.

  • trimulchio

dedicated Ron Paul people at the convention to get a decent paltform and to “steel Mitt’s spine.”

Romney is an able, diligent man, but he is too pragmatic to always pick the hard right over the easy wrong. Paul having influence at the Convention would be what the doctor ordered (in more ways than one).

  • GreyCloak

happens after the Primaries are done, and they are not over. For the moment, we can all be united in opposition to the current President (politically).

We may have a “designated candidate,” but the Party needs to know what the platform will be. This is why the Texas Republican Primary listed many candidates and also asked several advisory opinions.

We must vote for who will be the best president…..Ron Paul

Mitt Romney is so close to Obama….they might as well joing together and run on the same ticket!

Prosecutors said the men were self-described anarchists who boasted weeks earlier about the damage they would do in Chicago, including one who declared, ?After NATO, the city will never be the same.?

At one point, one of the suspects asked the others if they had ever seen a ?cop on fire.?

Jared Chase aka ?J-Chase The DJ? is one of the three alleged plotters.

Chase is originally from Keene, NH. AntiWar libertarian Ron Paul has a strong base of support in Keene. Halfway down Chase?s Facebook page next to a photo of Mao and physicist Michio Kaku is an image of Ron Paul?s book.

    and another link on this;

Three out-of-state men arrested in a Bridgeport apartment raid days before the NATO summit considered hitting President Obama?s campaign headquarters, Mayor Rahm Emanuel?s house and police stations with ?incendiary devices,? according to court documents.

The trio, who are being held on $1.5 million bond apiece, are charged with conspiracy to commit terrorism, providing material support for terrorism and possession of an explosive or incendiary device. They are the first people to ever be charged with violating the state?s anti-terror statutes, which were enacted after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, authorities said.

Chase lived in a tent for a time after joining Occupy and traveled with other members of the movement to Rhode Island, Washington, D.C., and Miami before arriving in Chicago last month, his uncle said.

Leader of Ron Paul convention takeover says Obama would be better than Romney.

Brent Tweed, the Ron Paul supporter who was elected chairman of the Republican State Convention on May 5 at the Augusta Civic Center said ?If Republicans at the national convention are looking for cheerleaders, they won?t find them with Ron Paul supporters. ?I put Mitt Romney in the same category as Obama,? he said. ?I?m going to be bold here. Obama winning?and I don?t like Obama?is better than Romney winning.?

Molitov Cocktails; glass bottle, gasoline, fuse. Not exactly rocket science.

  • trimulchio

book. Paul asks some questions that no one else is, whether you agree with his answers or not, that takes something.

    I like chocolate ice cream.

    Therefore I am a murderer.

Love your logic. Why such a big burr lodged in your nethers about Congressman Paul? He’s more of a conservative than Romney ever was. And I dare you to call me a Paulbot.

  • acat

given your apparent preference for Klobuchar in this comment

Ya gotta clear something up. Is it “Conservative in the primary, Republican in the general”, or not?

    Mew

  • mikeymike143

but there is a difference between voting for and giving time and money too. the paulbot diary i commented on requested manower and funding from conservative groups for that paulbot bills. i dont think he should get a single penny or any manpower support from conservative groups because he is neither conservative or a real republican!!!! i would still vote for bills in the general if i lived in minnesota, i always vote republican. but that money and manpower should go to someone like richard mourdock or ted cruz. not some looney paulbot.

  • citizenkh

    are SUCKERS.

Paul is NOT honest. He’s MR. PAYOLA enough to make the “Bridge to Nowhere” look like a great earmark.

You OBVIOUSLY have not looked past his rhetoric regarding earmarks. He is clever at this though, but DIRTY as DIRTY can get.

  • acat

I don’t like Romney, but I can tell he’s no Obama.

  • Bill S

    Bye.

  • http://www.hakubi.us/ Neil Stevens

Why else would he back an enemy of liberty and the Constitution like Ron Paul?

  • acat

I take it Red State policy remains “Ron Paul supporters will not be tolerated” ?

  • texasref

Don’t worry, I’m voting for whoever Gingrich tells me to vote for.
