You pick the lier…candidate Obama or terrorist Ayers?

(my 100% of goodwill towards our President-Elect just took a hit)

Okay, I’m officially confused. President-Elect Obama, as presidential candidate Obama, repeatedly told all that Bill Ayers was a guy who lived in his neighborhood, someone who he served on a board with. He denied any friendship beyond that and said it was all made up that his political career was launched from Ayers livingroom.

So is one of them lying? Maybe it’s just convenient that both have gained further from this (more power and more money). I pray that our President-Elect is the one telling the truth in this, otherwise it’s a poor indicator of things to come.

Chicago Tribune article here…

(Ayers will) appear Friday on “Good Morning America” to promote the re-issue of his book this week. The Tribune obtained a copy of the updated material.

In it, Ayers — who did not respond to requests for comment — summarized his relationship with Obama: “[W]e had served together on the board of a foundation, knew one another as neighbors and family friends, held an initial fund-raiser at my house, where I’d made a small donation to his earliest political campaign.”

“regardless of how flimsy the relationship is” (sic)…
