Note from Erick: It’s apparently one of the randomly cycled ads. Please note which ads are displayed when the message shows up so we can purge it. We use an inhouse ad system that then pulls in filler ads from tribal fusion when we don’t have a complete stack of in house ads. One of the filler ads is causing the problem, but I can’t tell which one.
Am I the only one that is redirected (using IE) to the below URL when initially logging into RedState?

I wonder..
Jason Gillman Saturday, January 3rd at 1:48PM EST (link)It is VERY CERTAINLY malicious code.. as you cannot close from the bottom, and must use task manager.
Caution on the ADS allowed on the site maybe Moe?
Yes I encountered a redirect once several days ago
civil_truth Saturday, January 3rd at 1:58PM EST (link)It happened when RedState was starting to load - and may have happened in conjunction with an inadvertent random mouse click. The program appeared to be scanning my hard drive (or was pretending to), and the program did not close in the usual manner when I attempted to close the window. Can’t remember if closing IE worked or if I had to use a bigger hammer.
And Rightly So!
My Dad's computer got this virus a couple of months ago.
Vladimir Saturday, January 3rd at 2:34PM EST (link)If the window pops open for you, any click - including a click on the normal “close window” box - runs the virus program.
Yes, it cleverly mimics popular anti-virus software, and at one point will even mimic “the blue screen of death”.
And, for the record, my browser is Firefox, and I’ve recently seen the redirect on both my Mac desktop & my Windows Vista laptop. Both times associated with RedState. I safely shut it down (I think) by closing the active browser window.

davo119 Saturday, January 3rd at 2:34PM EST (link)I was stuck for several days with continuous page redirection. I was given a copy of Norton Internet Secutity 2009 and a couple of days later it was gone.

George Claghorn Saturday, January 3rd at 3:42PM EST (link)Malicious code inside one the ads. Do NOT buy anything from that site that you get redirected to.

For those of you who struggle with what goes on, who see retreat and capitulation, and who feel like not just your political opponents, but those who hold dear all those things you hold as blasphemous — be cheerful. Be happy. Victory is already yours.
You must just have the courage to not get discouraged and have the will to fight on.” – Erick Erickson at RightOnline
It happened on firefox on my mac
GregInFla Saturday, January 3rd at 3:49PM EST (link)So I just laughed it off. But it made all firefox windows really small, and opened in a new window, with no firefox menus displayed. I just quite firefox and restarted. I did not know it was from redstate.com at the time, because my home page is actually three firefox tabs: dealmac.com, redstate.com, and jihadwatch.org. I guess redstate.com was the culprit.

Opened the page and was redirected along with a pop up ad. Didn’t have time to see anything else on the page.
There have been a huge number of DOS attacks, hacks and infections on Israel-based, pro-Israel web and blog sites.
Kenny Solomon Saturday, January 3rd at 8:26PM EST (link)I haven’t had a problem here.
Jihadwatch, Ynet News and by some accounts over 1,000 sites have been hit so far.
When IsraelPundit got hit, they traced the image of the Palestinian flag that was uploaded and found it went to a WordPress blog.
Whatever may have happened here could have been part of that series of attacks.

Hey Erick the redirect I got was just by hitting the link to Redstate....
JadedByPolitics Saturday, January 3rd at 9:20PM EST (link)so it was not associated with any of your ads….good luck in finding the pesky little devil and doing away with it.
