Redemption: Climate Change Was A Lie

what we always knew, they must now admit

What must be done now is to award the email hacker with the next Nobel Peace Prize, revoke Al Gore’s, confiscate all the profits that have been made from furthering the lies and misdirections of the climate alarmists (including Michael Moore of course), shut down the UN’s Climate wing, and immediately dismantle and disrupt the EPA and the last 20 years of restrictions and regulations and blockades of access to American energy resources. Oh yeah-let’s burn the Cap & Trade bill and shutter the whole economy-destroying Ethanol nonsense while we’re at it.

Why you ask? Because it has finally come out that there has been no global warming since 1995 (it was much worse during Medieval times you see) and the now-shamed Professor at the heart of the original IPCC email scandal has finally been uncovered as a fraud. I can actually understand now why he once considered suicide…he knew this day of reckoning was coming.

The problem with saying “the science is settled” is that, sooner or later, someone else that truly believes in the never-ending pursuit of “science” is going to un-settle it with either new revelations or new discoveries. Unfortunately for Al Gore, we have come upon a newer, even more inconvenient truth; they lied.

Now we have to go about the business of cleaning up their mess.

the boon to the economy and the collective sigh of relief from all manufacturers still eeking out a living in the US if we could actually roll back at the very least the EPA regulations based on Global Warming fear? How ’bout that classification of CO2 as a pollutant? That would be a good place to start. Your call to action, if accomplished, would be nirvana.

    • haystack

Congress climbing all over each other trying to be out in front of repealing all this nonsense. They’d have enough work to keep themselves busy for at least 4 Congresses…and out of our hair while we go make back some of that money.

      • 4life

gov’t is way better at ‘grabbing more’ than ‘rolling back’. Maybe a new batch could get the momentum going. This would create a lot of teeth nashing among the vocal people who don’t employ anyone, but just think how that unemployment number would drop like a rock. I know for a fact that manufacturers in the midwest that own two factories have shut down one to keep the other going, and ones running three shifts have cut down to two for the same reason. They are all just hopin’ and prayin’ for the the day when they can get back to full production and start making money again (the ‘rainy day’ accounts are starting to run dry). That would get all those people just waiting around collecting unemployment checks back to work.

      • nessa

Imagine the jobs, building refineries, power plants, imagine the expansion in the eeeevil Oil Industry as they start preparing to drill here in the US again! We wouldn’t need the economic apothecaries trying to turn unemployment reports to gold with their constant “Surprise!” We could actually start putting people to work, not just dropping them from the calculations and making up numbers of “jobs created or saved.” What would rolling back CAFE standards do to the auto industry?

Its a win-win, feeding algore to manbearpig is just icing on the cake.

      • Flagstaff

No, I think it’s still imaginary.

They have a great capacity for ignoring the obvious. I just heard that 2009 was the second warmest year since who-knows-when.

And will Evan Bayh’s “resignation,” as they call it, cover this up in tonight’s and this week’s news?

    • trutexan

and that’s why they rushed to classify the CO2 as a pollutant? I never thought of that until your comment.

      • conritwng

and if you really think about it , it really IS all about the cash they thought they were going to get . It is ALWAYS about MONEY!

  • DirtyDave

Has anyone anywhere heard from Algore? I think the day he dreaded most of all has finally come. Hiding out and waiting until it all blows over is not a good plan, Al.

Will Algore return his Nobel? I doubt it because it would be the proper thing to do. At least he will most likely lose his rear end in his fraudulent carbon offset business. How exactly does one offset a carbon?

    • GregInFla

Or at least that is Mark Levin’s guess. Gore needed protection from Donald Trump’s people.

  • http://hillbillypolitics.com Steph C

I’ll opt for saying: nice write up on the lying con artists who tried to make us fearful of something nonexistent while ignoring the things that can really kill us, including their stupid legislation.

Do you really think there’s a chance of getting anything rolled back?

    • haystack

for anyone in politics brave enough to suggest it..they’ll get my support to the extent I can provide it. How cool would it be for a whole new wave of rhetoric directed at undoing 20 years of political correctness and fiscally suicidal legislation.

      • http://hillbillypolitics.com Steph C

        if it happens.

      • conritwng

writing your Congressmen and women and get them started writing nullification bills? OK, SC, TX , etc and here in AR are getting started

    • GregInFla

First push for abolishing the Senate and House committees/subcommittees on Global Warming/Climate Change. Yes, these exist, and should be disbanded ASAP.

      • conritwng

the EPA, National Endowment for the Arts, National Education Association, and the Department of Energy Who has done little to get the USA independent of foreign oil, would be a good start!

        • http://hillbillypolitics.com Steph C

I think government unions are unConstitutional and can’t for the life of me figure out a rationale for them unless they fear their government for some reason or another. ;-)

        • GregInFla

It was set up to get us off of oil. It no longer has that mission. It should be disbanded. I go along with Mike McConnell at 700wlw.com,: all laws should have expiration dates. The DOE has expired.

mentality of our leaders means someone will always carry the torch.

    But… Vindication, indeed.

  • wrenhal

even after saying there’s been no increase in mean temps he then …. he tries to backtrack and say (as they all do), “But that doesn’t mean global warming isn’t happening”. Kind of like Bill Nye (who takes him seriously anyway with that bowtie) saying that Global Warming is happening because they feel it in their hearts.

I say the Freedom of Information Act warrant should be served on that office of his and IMMEDIATELY have all his papers, emails, books, notes, etc… sent to America and gone through with a fine tooth comb. As well as the offices of ALL the other scientists there. And it should be served by Navy Seals showing up on their doorstep unannounced. Much differently than we showed up on Saddam’s door.

  • america1st

Considering all the damage gore, jones, et. al. have done to virtually everyone in the world (especially when we consider the resources *wasted* on the illusionary fraud of AGW), it seems the very least we can do is to help them exit with some honor, perhaps by fitting them with gasoline-soaked tires . . . and an honor guard of pyromaniacs.

    • GregInFla

Tell them: “Obviously whatever was done has worked. It’s cooler now. Thanks for your service. Now go away and sip a long island tea somewhere.”

  • d_lamar

Al Gore and all of his pseudo science buddies should be pursued for accountability for all the billions of dollars that their fraud has caused. It’s not likely to happen though.

Wouldn’t it be a great sight to see Al Gore and the rest of them on the witness stand attempting to justify their hoax? All they would have for their support would be student’s term papers and rumors.

  • Trelaina

Reading the article I found the liberal nonsense in every other sentence.

It hasn’t been warning for the last 15 years, BUT that’s just a blip.

The documentation is bad, BUT there’s still warming going on AND we are causing it.

It’s not the hottest it’s ever been, BUT the other warming trends can be linked to natural causes and this one can’t.

In other words….you HAVE TO AGREE with us, even if we are WRONG!!

    ROFLMAO…..

  • merryj1

…anywhere/against anyone who applied for and accepted federal grant money, and confiscation of their (respective) assets up to the full amount(s) of the billions in taxpayer dollars! There has to be some sort of accountability mechanism in the grant process (oh, wait, it’s a government program – maybe not?).

Wouldn’t some of the RICO laws apply here? And wouldn’t the e-mails be evidence of collusion (conspiracy)?

  • majorkong

I usually don’t offer expert advise on anything, but merry1, I agree the RICO statutes would appear to apply here. Unfortunately, with Heider as ag and a bunch of leftists running the govt, it seems unlikely. It would be fascinating to watch this scam fall apart under interrogation and subpoenaed e mails and other communiques.

  • Cheetah772

What he did was illegal and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of law. Any kind of hacking, even if it is done with best intentions, should be frowned upon.

We’ve always known that the global warming cause was and still is full of holes, what the hacker uncovered merely confirmed our claims. Now, please allow me to say this, if anybody knowingly used the fraudalent data, and claimed it as evidence to receive financial support from any source, then that person should go to jail or be fined heavily. If scientists were using this data to convince their agencies or government to fund their research projects, then they should be kicked out of scientific community for good or thrown in jail for diverting limited funds to what is truly a serious misallocation of resources. Lying to your biggest supporters and especially government is a big no-no.

haystack, as a born-again Christian who believes in upholding law, I view this case as nothing good. The hacker does not win any award in my book, neither do any scientist, nor leading advocates (like Al Gore). Nobody wins in this case. Everybody loses out, at least from my viewpoint. Other than that, I agree with everything you stated in your front page dairy.

    • haystack

that plenty of journalists got awards for “outing” people that were up to no good…even if they used questionable means to come by the information.

I technically agree that, since hacking is illegal, they are guilty of a crime. Philosophically though-when I look around at all of our modern history from Watergate to John Edwards…not a whole lot of people see your logic the same way…but again-I technically agree with you.

      • Michael Dugas

He or she shouldn’t be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for that hack job. I mean who wants to be associated with the likes of Arafat, Obama, the IAEA and Mohamed El-Baradei, Al Gore Jr., Jimmy Carter, The UN, Kofi Annan et al. I’d be pissed to be added to that list.

I’m thinking cash and a new ride, preferably something with a huge V-8
that would make an honest tree-hugger gag. Whata ya say! I’m in….
now if we only had his/her email address………

        • Vegas_Rick
      • Cheetah772

I agree with you that sometimes the journalists use questionable methods to expose dirty politicians or businessmen, and receive awards for their work.

However, do you remember that Palin’s email account was hacked into? We rightfully condemned that hacker, and I think he was arrested for that crime. Palin is one of us, so we rush to defend her and condemn the hacker. But the scientists who believe in global warming cause aren’t on our side, so once the hacker exposed them for what they are, a bunch of frauds, so we praise the hacker(s) for the job well done.

That is hypocritical to me. I know you aren’t a hypocrite, and I understand your point, which is stated in your dairy. But I think all of us should strive to be consistent in applying law to all situations, even if we should find them distasteful or harmful to our conservative movement. You see, this what separates us from liberals who refuse to apply this in their pursuit of forcing their version of a more perfect utopia down our throats.

I really want to have our conservative movement held to a higher moral standard, even if it looks funny to those outside looking in. That’s all. And finally, thank you for your civility, I was a little bit afraid that you would bit my head off for disagreeing with you about awarding the hacker. Thanks for that.

        • haystack

I am (hopefully) known for not biting off heads…life is too short-as I have learned-to spend any energy on hostility in this blood sport. Our friends on the left deal with disagreement that way but I don’t (at least I TRY not to)

I don’t disagree with your basic point here-we should aspire to a higher standard. Once in a while though, I do get a little personal entertainment out of giving back even a small fraction of what they give us, but your bigger point is valid and I respect it.

        • Michael Dugas

her activities weren’t threatening to destroy livelihoods, businesses and being used as a tool to bring about socialism to our country.
          Just sayin’.

      • GregInFla

Did these guys have any expectation of privacy in their emails? (like the cellphone location test of Obama Admin. discussed elsewhere.) I mean, if Google can look at all the gmail email messages legally, and archive them and use their contents to do business, and that emails are passed unencrypted through the internet, who could ever have any expectation of privacy in their email messages? I know I don’t.

    • wrenhal

I’ve heard several people, including some overseas, refer to it as a leak. that would insinuate that it was an inside job, not an outside hack. I don’t believe anyone ever came out with true evidence of a hack, just them saying it must have been one. Heck, it could have been Phil Jones himself. Maybe he’s trying to slowly prepare the way for his outing as a skeptic. Trying to ease into per se. maybe????

      • rbdwiggins

        In other words: (A) Whistleblower(s).

He/she/they sent/leaked the emails and source documents to multiple news outlets, including the BBC, weeks before the public document dump.

        It was quashed.

    • realskinny

to believe the E-mails were released by someone inside the Hadley CRU. The same E-mails were sent to a reporter at the BBC 2 or 3 months before showing up in Russia. The BBC, of course, kept silent. Their pension plan is heavily invested in “carbon amelioration schemes”. More than a trillion Euros of European public pension funds are invested in carbon trading schemes and many of the executives of these fraudulent enterprises are the pension managers themselves.

At any rate, people who know say both the makeup and content of the E-mails indicate they were put together by someone with access. It is unlikely any laws were broken as this was probably the action of a whistle blower.

“A leading scientist has revealed that Europe could be just five years away from the start of a new Ice Age.

While climate change campaigners say global warming is the planet?s biggest danger, renowned physicist Vladimir Paar says most of central Europe will soon be covered in ice.”

“What I mean is that global warming is natural. Some 130,000 years ago the earth’s temperature was the same as now, the level of CO2 was almost the same and the level of the sea was four metres higher.

“They keep warning people about global warming, but half of America no longer believes it as they keep freezing,” he said.

And he added: “The reality is that mankind needs to start preparing for the ice age. We are at the end of the global warming period. The ice age is to follow. The global warming period should have ended a few thousands of years ago, we should have already been in the ice age. Therefore we do not know precisely when it could start ? but soon.”

Global Warming is not dead by a long shot. With the new 2011 NASA budget funds are being shifted to Global Warming initiatives. NASA is being used just like the EPA to promote Global Warming theory. Why? Because the President belives in Global Warming:

Just a few people who don’t want their pet theory disproven, some who don’t want to lose their grant money, a few more with an ideology that sees anything mankind does as destructive, a bunch more who see a topic to use as rhetoric to gain political advantage, a few more who are afraid to publicly dispute a theory because they’ll be ridiculed, a few more who go along to get along, a bunch of reporters who don’t understand the scientific method, etc… pretty soon you get cargo cult science and cap and trade legislation.

P.S. The same type of thing happened with the “Y2K” bug, the ozone hole, and just about any other pseudoscience you can name.

If you are interested in physicists scientific view of what is fact and what is BS (i.e. most of the man made part), I found the following long article to be quite informative. Note that this all appears to be from over a year ago before all the data doctoring has come to light. Also has a nice discussion how scientific research and the scientific method have been bastardized by politics.

    http://www.middlebury.net/op-ed/global-warming-01.html

    Here’s their summary:
Summary – Exactly what have we learned here?

    1. The “Greenhouse Effect” is a natural and valuable phenomenon, without which, the planet would be uninhabitable.
    2. Modest Global Warming, at least up until 1998 when a cooling trend began, has been real.

    3. CO2 is not a significant greenhouse gas; 95% of the contribution is due to Water Vapor.

    4. Man’s contribution to Greenhouse Gasses is relatively insignificant. We didn’t cause the recent Global Warming and we cannot stop it.

    5. Solar Activity appears to be the principal driver for Climate Change, accompanied by complex ocean currents which distribute the heat and control local weather systems.

    6. CO2 is a useful trace gas in the atmosphere, and the planet would actually benefit by having more, not less of it, because it is not a driver for Global Warming and would enrich our vegetation, yielding better crops to feed the expanding population.

    7. CO2 is not causing global warming, in fact, CO2 is lagging temperature change in all reliable datasets. The cart is not pulling the donkey, and the future cannot influence the past.

    8. Nothing happening in the climate today is particularly unusual, and in fact has happened many times in the past and will likely happen again in the future.

    9. The UN IPCC has corrupted the “reporting process” so badly, it makes the oil-for-food scandal look like someone stole some kid’s lunch money. They do not follow the Scientific Method, and modify the science as needed to fit their predetermined conclusions. In empirical science, one does NOT write the conclusion first, then solicit “opinion” on the report, ignoring any opinion which does not fit their predetermined conclusion while falsifying data to support unrealistic models.

    10. Polar Bear populations are not endangered, in fact current populations are healthy and at almost historic highs. The push to list them as endangered is an effort to gain political control of their habitat… particularly the North Slope oil fields.

    11. There is no demonstrated causal relationship between hurricanes and/or tornadoes and global warming. This is sheer conjecture totally unsupported by any material science.

    12. Observed glacial retreats in certain select areas have been going on for hundreds of years, and show no serious correlation to short-term swings in global temperatures.

    13. Greenland is shown to be an island completely surrounded by water, not ice, in maps dating to the 14th century. There is active geothermal activity in the currently “melting” sections of Greenland.

    14. The Antarctic Ice cover is currently the largest ever observed by satellite, and periodic ice shelf breakups are normal and correlate well with localized tectonic and geothermal activity along the Antarctic Peninsula.

    15. The Global Warming Panic was triggered by an artifact of poor mathematics which has been thoroughly disproved. The panic is being deliberately nurtured by those who stand to gain both financially and politically from perpetuation of the hoax.

    16. Scientists who “deny” the hoax are often threatened with loss of funding or even their jobs.

    17. The correlation between solar activity and climate is now so strong that solar physicists are now seriously discussing the much greater danger of pending global cooling.

    18. Biofuel hysteria is already having a disastrous effect on world food supplies and prices, and current technologies for biofuel production consume more energy than the fuels produce.

    19. Global Warming Hysteria is potentially linked to a stress-induced mental disorder.

    20. In short, there is no “climate crisis” of any kind at work on our planet.
