An American Carol

Time to Hit the Box Office

I like everything I’ve seen about the upcoming film An American Carol. For those who know nothing about it, the film features a Michael Moore character as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol. Moore’s character defect isn’t a lack of human feeling or sympathy, though. It’s a failure to appreciate the virtues of his country.

David Zucker of Airplane fame is the man behind the production. Stars include Kelsey Grammar, Jon Voight, and Trace Adkins. If you’re headed to the cinema this weekend, achieve something culturally and politically at the same time by building a little buzz and making sure An American Carol is still rolling come November 4.

I saw the premiere…it is definitely an enjoyable time, and it is a VERY patriotic movie.

There are so few Movies that come out with any positive moral value, we need to support any with such…

I remember the James Garner “Greatest Gift” which was fantastic… Sorry to not see as many at “Expelled” which was Ben Steins look at our pathetic education systems insistence that the “Scientology” Creation “Theory” of “Evolution” is acceptable, cuz “Scientology” is an accepted only pseudo Religion, but any alternation “Theory” is off-base. Anyway…

FIREPROOF is also a very good film, though I did think they over-played the Religious (not that I cared or minded) aspects (again, Greatest Gift provided the ‘positive values’ and only implied the Religious tone), but was still good. We can have good/positive moral value films and not have to make them seem to be a blatant attempt to drive people to any particular Faith/Church.

PROUD AMERICAN (may still be at some IMAX Theaters, but left most others as the FALL dump of movies they passed on through-out the rest of the year) was/is a nice film. Very poor acting, but the values/sentiment is positive/wonderful. Tears streamed down my face as Ground Zero appeared on-screen. There is some beautiful birds-eye view of some of Americas open lands.

As a Catholic, it just seemed out and out SILLY to me that peeps were out picketing “Da Vinci Code” and we probably won’t see them for the truly offensive assault on ALL RELIGION(S) with Bill Maher’s (let me cash in on Michael Moron’s… er… Moore’s success/formula/bandwagon) Religiously flick…

I avoid the blatant Anti-America crud that comes out of Hollywood, which is alot of it (the countless films like Liars For Losers, er… Lions For Lambs, etc…). There are some actors/actresses that I like their work, but I will NOT put my money into their pocket. So, to see those films (which I will do from time to time, if a Leftist is in a potentially entertaining movie) I will purchase tickets to another film of moral values and/or of people I will support and then go in to see that “other” film. Put your money where your mouth is peeps.

Eagle Eye is a very entertaining film, but if you hadn’t guessed yet… it is a 2 hour Anti-Republicans as Big Brothers, anti-Patriot act, etc…. So buy a ticket to the IGOR cartoon instead if you go see it… lol

      God Bless and Keep You….
      God Bless America…

I hope American Carol mops the floor with “Religulous” this weekend.

I plan to go this evening and fully expect a packed theater, much like Ben Stein’s number one opening weekend documentary. It is so funny to me, that with hard facts that most of America is a right-of-center country, Liberals still think they are the one’s “in touch” with the average American?!?

I was at the premiere in DC for the American Film Rennaissance Festival. Movie theater was completely sold out. Laughed so hard I was crying.

Don’t forget other conservative actors are in it as well: Michael McDonald, Robert Davi, Dennis Hopper, Gayle O’Grady, Camille Grammar, Peterman from Seinfeld, David Allen Grier, Leslie Nielson

    Looks hilarious.

BTW, if you haven’t read Trace’s book, you should.

The man behind the film is David Zucker!
