Gimmie a T for Texas, Gimmie a T for Tennessee

Last night the power of We the People was on display. The establishment lost and the people of Texas won. Congratulations Texas and Congratulations Ted Cruz!

If I were to tell you Tennessee has a golden opportunity tomorrow, August 2, 2012, to add fuel to the grassroots fire, would you know what I mean?

Red State readers are more than familiar with Senator Bob Corker’s horrible record and Erick Erickson himself has said the following, “Surely conservatives can find somebody decent to beat the heck out of Bob Corker in a primary in Tennessee. Corker is terrible. He pushes the Senate GOP left and toward capitulation. He is contemptuous of conservatives. He’s bad news. Conservatives need to rally in Tennessee and take out Bob Corker.”

I am proud to announce that this very thing is about to happen! For over a year now US Army Veteran Zach Poskevich has been traveling the state of Tennessee in an effort to unseat current US Senator Bob Corker and his hard work is paying off. The people of Tennessee Back Zach as evidenced by the growing list of endorsements. Tea Parties, County Commissioners, Mayors, Conservative Talk Show Hosts, Business Owners,  and Candidates for the Tennessee House and US Senate have come out backing Zach Poskevich!

There is no doubt last night was a huge victory for the people and the conservative cause; however, the victory in Tennessee will be one which truly changes the course of history. Why? Because the people will have done it without any outside help from big names or big money. Zach Poskevich and The Zach Pack have been working countless hours in the fight for freedom; placing a ‘firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence’ for the outcome.

So, fellow Constitutional Conservatives, Gimmie a T for Texas, Gimmie a T for Tennessee! We The People are Taking Our Power Back!

**Thank You Michael Smith, Conservative Nation Radio, for the “Gimmie a T for Texas, Gimmie a T for Tennessee” phrase**

conservative than our elected officials. Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander are at the top of the list in the”replacement needed” catagory. Unfortunately, with four major markets it requires a lot of resources to compete. Let us hope. And Change…..

Knoxville, Chattanooga, Nashville, Memphis and Tri-Cities (which reaches into Virginia). Distance from Memphis, TN to Chicago, Il = 533 miles; Distance from Memphis, TN to Dallas, TX = 450 miles; Distance from Memphis, TN to Bristol, TN = 502 miles. acat in Illinois is as close to a Republican in Georgetown as I am in Kingsport, TN. A person in the Dallas metroplex is significantly closer.

Retail politics statewide in Tennessee is impossible; you have to get up on television and drive time radio (if you work in Nashville, Knoxville or Memphis – you spend significant portions of the day listening to drive time radio). That is the uphill battle, Zach faces. I am going to vote for him because he is not Bob Corker. I point this out because to take out Lamar in 2014 is going to be nearly as expensive as taking out Dewhurst.

And Tennessee conservatives do not own many oil wells like our Texas Tea Party friends. Zack has my vote .

And it looks like the same situation here

Make us proud Tennesee, looking at his website, Zach looks great.

We need more tax reformers in the Senate.

I’ve sent some love to Zach and will be happy if he can at least put a scare into Corker.

Also rooting for Lou Ann Zelenik in the House 6th district race and for Lt. Col. Courtney Rogers in the state 45th district race.

      • volunteerstate

as if they were the most conservative of candidates, all their opponents being too liberal. We look to lose the Black-Zelneck race as well if early results hod. Black is winning. The Tenn state senate is turning more conservative however…..

is that Lt. Col. Courtney Rogers beat Debra Maggart in TN-45. I heard Rogers give a great speech at one of our tea party rallies about a year ago. If she votes the way she talks, she’ll be a great state rep for her district and could become a rising star.

        • volunteerstate

Maggart lost by running afoul of the NRA and mocking the Tea Party. Richard Montgomery, long time head of the state house education committee, and endorsed by all state “moderates”(Rinos), lost in a shocker. Rep.Nicely moved up into the Senate, a good conservative. All in all, the Tea Party made some progress.

or so it seems at this point, unfortunately.

The good thought was there though, just wish Zack had more national support.

I think you should credit Lynyrd Skynyrd for the song lyrics and to be more accurate, Jimmie Rodgers….just saying.

by retail politics in Tennessee is impossible – you have to be on television and state wide radio. I emphasize it strongly that taking Lamarin 2014 will cost $.

      • checkmate2012

for you. I’m pretty sure TX is way bigger than TN, and wonder why the politics is harder there. We too have 4 major markets and Cruz was way outspent. What’s the difference?

Cruz did get a lot of PAC support so don’t know if Zach did or not.

        Sorry :(

        • tnfriendofcoal101368

from the Appalachians to Mississippi River….what makes it impossible is I am in East Tennessee – a person in Memphis is closer to you in Texas. You just can’t retail politic that against Lamar’s name recognition and fundraising. It’ll take money from outside Pacs and a good candidate like Cruz.
