McCain and Palin should put names and faces with the mess our country is in. From the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac Housing Crisis, Credit Crisis, Feds Management Crisis, National Security Crisis, Two Wars! and last the dismal approval ratings of this do nothing Congress. I’m sorry actually they have done something, brought this Country into one crisis after another with no end in site and no one who seems to be able to forsee or manage anything……………………………We need checks and balance and it starts with our government.
They want more power!

The Constitution is our guiding force not a living document. When will the elected officials start thinking of Americans first?

We all know that Pelosi and Reid and Obama and the rest of the Liberal leaders are hoping for a Supermajority in all branches of government.

The loudest and most liberal democrat and the voice of the democratic party for decades has gone missing….why? and where? It’s not like a Kennedy to sit on the sidelines while the most important presidential race takes place.

For that matter, where is Senator Byrd? There was talk of his being hospitalized. Why no word on either of these two democrats?

Be careful crowing too much about winning

I love it when the democrats take the GOP to lightly. When the main stream media and the printed press are for a candidate, then you know “that one” is not who Americans want.

Time and time again we are told what to like, who to like, who is best for us, and what is best for us. Always told to us by others…what about the polls that showed Gore winning? Who is manipulating who?

I will tell you the registered voters are the ones who put Obama in the democratic position but also remember that many of the states had OPEN primaries. What does that mean? Cross over voting, and what does that mean? I feel some voted for Obama because they knew Americans would not vote for him. Proof is when Clinton can’t even bring himself to support “that one”, and Hillary is so obvious she doesn’t support “that one” either.

That one is not right for America!

What will Congress try to sell us next?
Watch and wonder. The leaders that be did not know how to forsee the crisis of financial markets, and yet they stuck their foot in it anyway.

Again are we surprised that what the actions of Congress has failed to accomplish?

The one thing Congress and the elected officials, some appointed ones as well, are good at is FAILURE!

Do nothing to bail out the Americans from the Energy crisis, but bail out the largest stock market fraud, i.e. Fannie and Freddie, controlled by whom? (Black Caucus of congress). *The mortgage lenders of Fannie and Freddie are an embarassment to responsible people. Now we are rewarded with a Socialist Entity. *

Those Huge Investment Banks……scam at it’s finest. They made bad decisions and they should be held accountable. Congress and elected officials stop creating these enormous banking institutions just like you did with Fannie and Freddie. They are to large to fail. Now enter Nancy Pelosi, extortion master and hostage taker extrodinare! I won’t give ok to drill or explore Energy to save Americans unless you allow more money to be wasted on those who shouldn’t have mortgages in the first place or those who bought homes OVER Valued! Risky investments….

Accountability in Politics Now that is the ultimate OXYMORON!

Why is it every time there is a meltdown the politicians in Washington scream…..We need accountability for the leaders of the institutions that fail…from the SNL, to Electricity, Banking and Financial institutions….Tele-communications….Mortage lenders….Stock Market traders….

Here is an idea, how about accountability of the elected officials in Washington and every state in the country..Let’s start taking away from those that don’t perform?

Senator Joseph Biden the Vice Presidential candidate for the Democrat party is todays Robin Hood.

Just listen to the words from Robin Hood himself during an interview. “We want to take the money and put it back into the pockets of the middle class.” This from a man that donated less than $1000 to charity.

Rob from the rich to give to the poor. I have news for the Europeans, even though Robin Hood was a fictional character, he is alive and well in the Democrat ticket for the President and Vice President.

Biden and Obama also believe it’s unpatriotic for Americans who don’t want to pay more taxes.

Michigan Constitution requires the government to have a balanced budget.

If I can balance a budget then why can’t the leaders of the country?

Since Michigan does not have a balanced budget, will the Govenor shut down state government? Again.
That was the threat last year…..and by a miricle they found a surplus after a shut down. But that shut down didn’t last long, and neither did the surplus. The Govenor made it a requirement that government employees sit by a phone in case they were to return to work. Really? Wonder if they will sit by the phone this year?

Which candidates can give the country a balanced budget? If you could not balance your budget year after year would you not go bankrupt?

Balance the Budget!

If your boss told you that your evaluation score shows you have an 18% approval rating on the job performance, do you really think you would be up for a raise? Let alone keep your job.

It’ time for those in Congress to look for other jobs, because they obviously can’t do the job they were elected to do.

**I as an Independent and faithful voter say maybe it’s time for, none of the above.

What did the economist get for their expensive education?

Well I know what the American people got….I’ll be nice, we are left once again holding the bag, and that bag does not contain cash.

While executives, CEOs and CFOs continue to get bonus after bonus the workers get nothing. After years of work and sacrifice the workers may not even get their pensions they have so faithfully paid into. If they had stock in the company they really get nothing.

Who are the major stockholders of these large financial institutions? How much foreign investment will be part of the fall. Once again the American people will pay for the mistakes of the so called experts.

The housing market is all part of this scam…when you make poor judgments on investments you should pay a price…but not the American taxpayer. I’m no econimist but the free market has it’s ups and down’s and risky investments have their faults. Read the fine print, if it seems too good to be true then… That’s one reason why there should not be these large overbearing entities because when they fall they take down a lot more than a smaller one would, (ie. Fannie and Freddie). Hang on!

*That higher education was well worth paying for wasn’t it.

The media machine is picking away at every morsel of Sarah Palin’s life from her early school years to motherhood, mayor and govenor, but where are the stories of Obama and Biden?

*The media tries to connect Palin and McCain to any sort of character that may lead to inpropriety. They send hords of attorneys and investigators to dig, and mine for any nugget that may give them a story or should I say editorial so the media can to protray it as inappropiate…or abuse of power. They are digging and mining for something they can call damaging evidence that Palin is not a qualified candidate for VP. McCain’s yard has been an open book for decades, no skeletons in here.

The truth is you can’t dig in Obama’s yard or even Biden’s. Obama’s background and character associations are his stories to write since the investigation or request for information on his background is off limits, as for his leadership records there are few to mine but he was “present”. His yard is closed.

*What about Joseph Biden? His schooling, connections, character associations, fatherhood, lobbyists, 527′s, hollywood, Income tax records, how about voting records.

What about the issues; voting records, character, judgment, management experience, executive experience, and military experience. Why do they want to be the leaders of the United States of America.

I don’t want to hear change or hope because they are subjective based on who is speaking.

*How many children does Obama have? How many children does Biden have?

*How many children does McCain have? How many children does Palin have?

There is one thing all of these candidates have in common, well make that two. McCain, Palin, Obama and Biden have children and all of them are involved in politics. Yet only one of the above has been questioned on the ability to juggle children and their political career. Why is that?

I want to see the media ask Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden and yes even Mr. McCain how they manage to raise a family and still run a state. Oh that’s right only one of the above has done that. Well then ask them all how they manage to run their career and still manage to raise their children.

Running a household means, budget, finance, healthcare, security, education, and management skills. Please don’t demean our candidates if they have a family. I’m sure all of the above have been taken away from their family duties at times to deal with pressing matters. The point is none of them were doing it alone.

*Man or Woman please respect their commitment to family. As with any other situation some handle it better than others.

*Remember your parents saying; If you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all?

Remember all the programs in our school dealing with diversity and bullies. And now about the internet bullying, and people’s feelings. “Words can hurt” the liberal and progressive way of thinking.

They want us to teach our children that we all are special and we may have differences but remember we all have feelings. Diversity and respect…..huh maybe that is only for our children and not the politicians.

*It’s funny that the elite liberal thinkers want to tell us how to protect our children from the words and actions that are hurtful. But in those same elite liberal thinkers, they are out there daily in the media speaking and smearing.

*Why don’t we call it for what it is; HATE speeches and lies to demean the religion and beliefs of others not like them. How hipocritical! But business as usual. Has everyone lost the ability to have a civil debate based on issues and facts?

Attack and destroy to maintain power, so much for a civil society.

*The new voting system in Florida will allow for a paper trail….but the democrats say that the system is not user friendly.

Wait a minute, this is the same state that couldn’t use punchcard ballots right. Now the machine that requires you to fill in a circle next to the candidate or issue with a #2 pencil is not user friendly.

People of this country have been using this system for decades in school testing and yes even used today for votiing. Because of the debacle in FL in 2000 the rest of the country was rushed to find a new system. Well FL spent millions of tax[ayer dollars to buy new machines that weren’t proven and couldn’t provide a paper trail in case of problems with voting.

Now FL spent millions of taxpayer dollars again on machines that have been used for years here in MI and in other states around the country. The machines are proven and provide a paper trail and the machine even tells the voter if there is a problem with their ballot after it is inserted into the machine. By the way FL is suing the company of the first machines because of the problems, wonder what that cost is to the taxpayers.

*Maybe it was not the machine or mechanism of voting…..maybe just maybe it was the voters.

With all the misspoken or misinterpreted statements from the democrats lately one thing is for sure, they are good swimmers. They win the gold medal for the backstroke.

Now the Obama campaign staff is trying to put out the flames from the statement made by Obama in NH.

Everyone paying under $250,000 will pay lower taxes, like in the 1990′s under Clinton. Oh really?
As I watch the backstroke begin we all know that he said he would eliminate the tax cuts implemented under President Bush, so does that really mean that **Anyone making $250,000 will pay less in taxes? What about the Alternative Minimum Tax? What about the Small Business Tax? What about Capital Gains?

**Mr Obama keep swimming or you’ll drown.

It’s my responsibility to teach my children right from wrong, and hold them to high standards to better themselves.

**While parents are responsible for the actions of their children, the liberal’s ideas say you can’t dicipline your child for wrongdoing.

**While criminals are put on trial and found guilty, the liberals say they are all good deep down and can be rehabilitated.Really?

The liberals or progressives as they say now, want to give rights to criminals including the right to vote, and continue to have taxpayers pay to educate them. Does former president Clinton have the right to vote after being found guilty of perjury? What about Sandy Burgler? Will we see both of them in the Obama administration?

**While liberals here at home and in Europe say the United States is not the police of the world, they say the United States must do something to help every suffering people of the world. Why are not all countries held to the standards that others expect of America?

While Americans are sleeping the liberals are giving away our rights through meaningless laws and treaties, meanwhile mandating substandard education for our children. They will also commit our military to foreign countries without the ability to fight back and call it peackeeping.

While here at home the laws on the books can’t be enforced, test scores are not a judge of ability in our education system, and the liberals call it Peackeeping instead of military operations. Don’t let the fox near the hen house, their circling it as we speak.
