People with low IQ got to see Whoopee Goldberg defend Roman Polanski on the View yesterday. Goldberg had no problem with the man filling a thirteen year old girl with alcohol and drugs before raping having sex with her.

I say “people with low IQ” because demographically those are the only people who watch the View save for those few people forced to watch the show as part of their job.

In any event, Goldberg’s blasé attitude about raping having sex with drug filled children and the implications of statutory rape has spilled over into the Obama administration, which is taking the position that statutory rape is of no great consequence and should, if the child consents, be encouraged.

There is no other way to look at Barack Obama’s appointment of Kevin Jennings, the President’s “safe schools czar” who, the Washington Times reports unapologetically encouraged a homosexual relationship between a fifteen year old boy and much older man who, the boy reported to Jennings, picked the boy up in a bus station bathroom and promptly took the boy home.

Considering Jennings wrote about this in his one and only published book and spoke about this prior to his appointment, we can only assume the Obama administration knew about it and has no problem with it.

Keep ‘em home.
That should be the motto of every conservative with children in public school on the 8th of this month. That’s the day the President will be invading every classroom that will have him with what is being billed as a general, innocuous “stay in school, do your homework” message for public school students across the country. And if there’s one thing we have all learned, it’s that we can trust the Obama administration to say what they mean and mean what they say. Right?

Why should the presidential morning announcements concern parents? Well that list is too long for a complete accounting, but let’s talk about just a few of the big reasons.

Because they usually lack the organization, training, funding, numbers and suicidal ideology of international terrorists, it can at times be difficult to distinguish domestic terrorists from ordinary psychopaths. But domestic terrorism has been a sporadic presence in the United States since at least radical Kansas abolitionist John Brown in the 1850s, running through the likes of Leon Czolgosz, Sacco and Vanzetti, the Black Panthers, Tim McVeigh, Ted Kaczynski, and more recenly Bruce Ivins and John Allen Muhammad. The causes they have killed for have ranged from the noble (Brown) to the nefarious to the outright deranged (Kaczynski), and their inspiration has ranged from the purely domestic to imitations of foreign movements like anarcho-syndicalism or Islamism. This being America, domestic terrorists have almost always done more harm than good to their stated causes.

It appears that Scott Roeder, the man arrested for Sunday’s murder of notorious late-term abortionist George Tiller, would qualify for membership in this group, given press reports that Roeder has a long record of extremism, possession of explosives and profession of belief in killing abortionists. Now, it’s hard to generate much sympathy for Dr. Tiller himself; whatever moral blinders it may be possible for a man to wear regarding early-term abortions, anyone who has seen a sonogram or felt a child kick against its mother’s womb can hardly imagine the cruelty required to repeatedly perform…”terminations”…of such helpless and innocent victims. But as long as we live in a nation of laws made by the people and as long as his conduct is permitted by law, the job of judging men like Dr. Tiller belongs to the Lord alone, and the job of stopping men like him remains with the democratic process and with peaceful protest and persuasion; the way of the domestic terrorist is the way of madness no matter the cause.

You and I know this already. The Left, however, is late to the party in having a problem with domestic terrorists and their pals.

Look, we always joke that the left is more about indoctrination than education, but this is ridiculous.

Bill Ayers (yeah him), the Woods Fund of Chicago that Barack Obama used to manage, and George Soros are funding some program called the “Fair Test.” And it’s not just them. The Fair Test has ties to NARAL, various Democratic party sub-groups, and a host of other left wing interests.

The “Fair Test” isn’t really a test at all. It’s a movement to scrap standardized tests for college admissions standards because the left is convinced they discriminate. In fact, under the “Fair Test”, the left doesn’t even really want colleges to look at a student’s grade point average.

Why?

The left has so bought in to the notion that standardized tests discriminate against preferred groups, they need a new end-run around the growing effort to get rid of race-based preferential admissions policies.

Given how entrenched the Fair Test movement is in the Democrat Party, watch for Congress to start whittling away at standardized tests for college admissions in favor of a more “holistic” approach.
