Obama Administration Condones Sex With Minors. As Long As It Is Just Buggery With the Boys.

Statutory rape? Who cares what goes on between a 15 year old and the man who picked him up in a bus station bathroom. You prude.
At some point we must stop saying that there was a failure to vet these people and conclude that Barack Obama has no more of a problem with men like Kevin Jennings who encourage statutory rape than men like Bill Ayers who encourages cop killing.

People with low IQ got to see Whoopee Goldberg defend Roman Polanski on the View yesterday. Goldberg had no problem with the man filling a thirteen year old girl with alcohol and drugs before raping having sex with her.

I say “people with low IQ” because demographically those are the only people who watch the View save for those few people forced to watch the show as part of their job.

In any event, Goldberg’s blasé attitude about raping having sex with drug filled children and the implications of statutory rape has spilled over into the Obama administration, which is taking the position that statutory rape is of no great consequence and should, if the child consents, be encouraged.

There is no other way to look at Barack Obama’s appointment of Kevin Jennings, the President’s “safe schools czar” who, the Washington Times reports unapologetically encouraged a homosexual relationship between a fifteen year old boy and much older man who, the boy reported to Jennings, picked the boy up in a bus station bathroom and promptly took the boy home.

Considering Jennings wrote about this in his one and only published book and spoke about this prior to his appointment, we can only assume the Obama administration knew about it and has no problem with it.

The DNC goes after a peculiar demographic: Bush voters.

I hope that they spent money on this:

Look, I think that George W. Bush’s current unpopularity among the American people is a bit unfair, but I recognize that it exists - so trying to excuse the current President’s habit of doing end-runs around the nomination process because he’s just like Bush* is, well, dumb. The majority of the populace will react badly to the comparison and the percentage that won’t react badly will also not take it particularly seriously.

Michael Silence (via Instapundit) wants to know what the point was for this campaign ad. I refer him to Andrew Klavan for the answer.

PS: No, by the way.

*Not that he is, more’s the pity.

On “vetting” and the Czars

If you were to search Google News this morning for the word “vetting”, you’d find well over 1500 hits in relation to that word and the Van Jones story.  The current meme is that Jones was not sufficiently vetted by the Obama administration - that his shortcomings and controversial positions were not exposed, primarily because he was an appointed “czar” with no Congressional approval or oversight.

Earlier today, Erick asked “Who created this special job for Van Jones and what vetting of any sort did he get?”  The implication, of course, is that Jones was not vetted.  But is that true?

Over at The Corner at NRO, Andy McCarthy has a different take - one that I believe is quite accurate.  McCarthy asserts that Jones was chosen precisely because of his controversial background.  He says:

The point, of course, is that Obama vetted Jones just fine. President Obama is not Mr. Magoo — haplessly gravitating to Truther Van and Ayers and Dohrn and Klonsky and Davis and Wright and the Chicago New Party and ACORN, etc. Jones is a kindred spirit. Obama knows exactly who he is. Jones was given a non-confirmation job precisely because that circumvented the vetting process. This isn’t one of those things that just happen. This is Barack “Transparency” Obama gaming the system.

A “kindred spirit”.  The two have the same kinds of backgrounds.  They were both community organizers of some ilk.  It only makes sense that Obama would seek someone with the same background to pursue one of his pet policies - “green jobs.”

The Great Texting Summit ‘09

I hereby request I be appointed STFU Czar

Promoted from the diaries by Caleb

While the Texting Whilst Driving Summit is pretty low on the totem pole of issues and problems, apparently Obama doesn’t think so. And I think it also serves to finally put a nail in the “Obama is SOOOO smart” coffin. Please, can we finally put that to rest? I’ll say it first; as an evil Radical RightWing Extremist, I’m already on the DHS “watch list”, I’m sure. He is NOT smart. He is naive and childlike in his approach to nearly everything.

This inane action is just the latest example. Fox reported this morning that Obama is to hold a TEXTING while driving Summit. All other problems have been solved, we can now focus on nefarious Twitter! Really, Obama? Seriously? A Summit. An actual SUMMIT about TEXTING. My head is fixin’ to explode … oh, man, just Ration me now. Blue or red pill, either one will do.

In the alternative, I demand a Czar position, as I’m an expert on Texting and it’s super cool counterpart, Twittering. Since this, evidently, is such an urgent matter, I’m certain Czars will be appointed. I suggest a wOOt Czar, an OMG Czar and a LOLZ Czar for starters.
