Public Option Vote Forces “the Reveal” of the War Going on Inside the Democratic Party

Slate’s John Dickerson has finally said what has been so glaringly obvious for so many months, but has been ignored, not discussed and generally denied by the MSM and the supporters of ObamaCare with great discipline: the internal divisions inside the Democratic Party over specific policy issues contained inside ObamaCare could cause it to collapse:

“With nearly all Republicans opposed to the president’s plan, the last stages of negotiations will be among Democratic factions. Obama came into office promising to bridge the partisan divide in Washington. But the outcome of the health care debate may depend more on his ability to bridge the divides in his own party.”

This is the “teachable moment” that comes from the vote and failure of the public option in the Senate Finance Committee.

The standard party line among the Democratic leadership — especially the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid — has been the missteps, mistakes, chaos and general political failure of ObamaCare is all the Republican’s fault. But even the liberal FireDogLake and DailyKos know this blame-the-Republicans is goat food for the brain dead. The Public Option vote has put the lie to the it’s-the-Republican’s-fault.

A Climate of Hate

From the time the Warren Commission report cited it for fostering the assassination of JFK up through the recent murder of an abortionist in Kansas, the left loves to writes about and decry what they refer to as a “climate of hate.”

Lately little more than code for “conservatives are talking,” the phrase “climate of hate” is ubiquitous, both in traditional media and on the left side of the internet. Each and every time a figure on the left is murdered, threatened, jostled on the subway, slips in the shower and gets a boo boo, or is just feeling a little blue, there is a blog and media blitz blaming Rush, Hannity, Coulter, and company for creating a “climate” of hate. Democrat blogging mothership DailyKos warns stridently and often of the murder and mayhem daily unleashed by the festering madness of conservative talk radio. Bill Maher, Keith Olbermann and Janeane Garofalo never miss the chance to sell the notion that rhetoric begets violence. The criticism of Obama paints a target on his back just as surely as Bill O’Reilly’s prolife position was directly responsible for the Kansas murder.

One can only conclude, therefore, that the left is trying to kill you.

President Newspeak Wants A Cookie

.

The left and the press (but I repeat myself) are falling all over each other in their haste to congratulate Obama and his manly response to the pirates. A retch-worthy visit to the comments section of left blogs reveals revolting mission-accomplished-gasms and endless reposts of photo fakes featuring Obama being cool or hip with the words “I Got This” adoringly emblazoned upon the savior of the West. To say the fawning adoration is grotesque would be a dramatic understatement and an insult to the merely grotesque.

There is little surprise in adoring Obamatons rewriting the story to evoke a man of action yelling “Charge!” After all, we’re in the midst of an “overseas contingency operation” and this hostage taking was a “man-caused disaster”. So it makes perfect sense to change Obama voting “present” into “come on, you sons of bitches, do you want to live forever?” That’s how newspeak works. It’s not reality, however.

Kos & Kompany: Cop Shooting Equals Twitter Fun

UPDATED: Kos Poll, How Many People Are Going To Die Due To Talk Radio?
When we were out of power, we organized to win the next election. Conservatives, apparently, prefer to talk “revolution” and kill cops. - Markos Moulitsas

This weekend, three Pittsburgh police officers were gunned down in cold blood by a disturbed gunman during an hours long standoff in what is an otherwise quiet suburb. You probably wouldn’t normally think that’s a source for clever one liners, but then, you aren’t a DailyKos kid are you?

Tommy Christopher was reading his Twitter page last night and saw a disturbing tweet from Markos Moulitsas. It was a retweet (in other words, resending something another person posted) of a message on Dana Houle’s twitter feed. Houle is a front-pager at DailyKos. Here is the relevant series (from DailyDose.us):

DanaHoule With no Veep to shoot people, folks are taking things in to their own hands about 20 hours ago from TweetDeck

DanaHoule “He said he’ll be ready if there’s ever an invasion of the United States and that he had stockpiled foods and guns…” Wolverines!! about 19 hours ago from TweetDeck

markosmoulitsas RT @DanaHoule: With no Veep to shoot people, folks are taking things in to their own hands about 15 hours ago from TweetDeck

TommyXtopher What does this mean? RT @danahoule @markosmoulitsas With no Veep to shoot people, folks are taking things in to their own hands about 15 hours ago from TweetDeck

markosmoulitsas When we were out of power, we organized to win the next election. Conservatives, apparently, prefer to talk “revolution” and kill cops. about 15 hours ago from TweetDeck

Tommy Christopher is rightly offended by the Kos Kids turning a tragedy into a chance for one-liners. Sadly, though, this is only the latest in a long series of such commentary by Markos and his legions of like-minded liberal ghouls.

If They Even Lost Kos, Geithner is Doomed

The lefties are getting restless over the many failures of Geithner, is Obama's guy at Treasury doomed?

Certainly one cannot say that Markos Moulitsas, the fellow that invented DailyKos.com, is the sage of the Democratic Party specifically or the left generally, but he does have a certain following as well as a high profile among activists if not Party regulars and political bosses. So when Kos begins Twittering that Sec. of the Treasury Tim Geithner is failing, this is not a good sign for Obama’s guy.

On Sunday, March 23, Kos wrote a Twitter posting stating “Geithner is starting to look like Obama’s Rumsfeld.”

To employ a saying: I know Donald Rumsfeld, Tim Geithner is no Donald Rumsfeld. Still, this could mark the beginning of the end of Tim Geithner as Obama’s Sec. of Treasury. His bad start when his tax cheating was revealed, compounded with his lackluster performances in press conferences, his claims that the next press conference will have all the answers at which time he tells us the same thing he’s already said, and, finally, his mishandling of the AIG bonuses incident is a veritable cornucopia of failure. For a man that is supposedly the smartest president we’ve had since Carter his choice of Geithner is not reassuring. And when even a kool aide drinker like Kos starts dissing Obama’s guy, well, who cannot suspect that the end is near?

“The Day After”

The left wing has descended into asshattery to try to discredit Bobby Jindal’s story about Sheriff Harry Lee and Katrina.

The left accuses Bobby of not being near New Orleans when Katrina hit and only flying over.

Apparently, the left is now defining “during Katrina” as “when the hurricane was blowing over. That’s a big shift from 2005 when they were attacking Bush for delaying getting to New Orleans.

The asshats of the left, however, are going to have some trouble now. Here’s Sheriff Lee talking about Bobby being on the ground the “day after” the hurricane hit as the levees were collapsing and hell was actually then being unleashed.

Bobby Jindal and the 75 Miles Meme

The Worst Fact-Checking In The World

Welcome to the leftwing asshats coming over to check out this post. Note you’re being brought here instead of to say this post or this post or this post.

“During Hurricane Katrina, I and former Sheriff Harry Lee were with (then Congressman) Bobby Jindal more than anybody else from the federal government. He didn’t wait for cameras or permission — he was boots on the ground, and anyone that disputes that obviously wasn’t in Louisiana.” — Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand, Democrat

Something is rotten at TPM.
