OMG! What have they done?

Or...The Evolution of an Activist

Not promoted from the diaries by anybody because we’ve promoted Aaron to the front page. Yes, yes, I know “My God, what hath thou wrought?” I’m asking myself the same thing. — Erick

Come, sit by the campfire while I tell you a story.

September 2000 I left the U.S. Army confident that Al Gore would be the next President of the United States of America. The next year passed quickly as I scrambled to find my place in civilian life. On Sept. 11th I was driving to work and heard the news. Thus began a fixation on current events that I have yet to shake.

The next spring I quit my job and took a contract in Kosovo as a Systems Administrator. I spent roughly two years living and working in Kosovo. In between trouble tickets, I diligently clicked refresh on Drudgereport, which I had only recently discovered. Once I returned to U.S. soil I began to notice that the country had changed while I was away. Drudge, despite his best efforts, had failed to clue me in to the degree of animosity that was bubbling up from the fairly new fever swamps we are now all so familiar with.

I was a foreigner in my own land.

BREAKING: The Mob Attacks A News Crew!

Sometimes rhetoric gets out of hand. We all know this. There is a difference between disagreeing with someone and villainizing them as Hitler 2.0. So when you paint the President as a monster causing the death of innocents, and the media as his Goebbels, are you inciting violent reaction? Sometimes, apparently so.

I shot the shocking video below myself. I have not editing the foul language so please be warned: not safe for young ears.

Like me, you’ve been hearing about an angry mob. Well it exists. Watch this, then read on for important eyewitness details.

Pelosi to Disruptors: Your advocacy is very American

So disruptions and outbursts interrupt Pelosi discussing National Security to a San Fran crowd, and not only does she encourage them, she specifically calls their disruption “very American” and claims she’s “a fan” of disruptors.

You got that, mob? If you’re a SanFranLib screaming BushLied™!1!1!1!!!!!1! then you are THE BOMB. But if you are a concerned senior citizen telling Snarlin’ Arlen to stuff it you may be STRAPPED TO A BOMB!!!!!

Keep fighting. Don’t let them shut you down. Via Breitbart.tv.

OBAMA IS HITLER!!!!

... say supporters. Err, what?

Let us, for the moment, leave aside the question of why the media suddenly doesn’t like comparing the President to Hitler. Instead, let us today address the more pressing question of why the media doesn’t like facts.

If you believe Nancy Pelosi, Rep. John Dingell, little girls totally not planted at Obama town halls, and “reporters” asking Gibbs “questions” at today’s White House “briefing,” then you are probably certain that there are scores of hood-clad Klansmen with guns storming the town halls on health care waving swastikas and, incongruously, accusing Obama of being Hitler. Yep, the mob is apparently experiencing a little hate-confusion.

Also, they are actually paid to be there, they are wearing Brooks Brothers suits, and they are elite rich poor white racist trash who’ve never heard of Hawaii, trade stocks by day, clean stocks by night, belong in stocks by right, and above all else, are un-American. Got that?

Yes we are a sordid, motley mob of natty dressers. But most of all, above everything else, we are mean. Mean mean mean. We’re shouting, you see. And putting Hitler mustaches on Obama. Right?

Right?

Heh.

Sheila Jackson-Lee’s (D-TX) Constituents are Important - Just Not More Important Than Her Cell Phone Conversations [UPDATED]

The arrogance of Democratic lawgivers is plain to see any time they step in front of a camera or microphone, but never is it on such full display as when they actually have to deal with their constituents.

Take, for example, this video of Texas Democrat Sheila Jackson-Lee, who is willing to allow her constituents the honor of being in her presence, just so long as they don’t gripe too much about the fact that she’s talking on her freaking cell phone while one of them is raising a Constitutional and ethical concern about legislation she is supporting in her constituents’ name in Congress.

Go to the four minute mark on the video below and watch until you can’t take any more. [UPDATE]: We’ve shaved it down to the relevant parts: below is the new video. - Moe Lane

And they wonder — they honestly wonder — why people are outraged?

Amazing.

Let’s Talk Astroturf

So I received an email/comment this morning about a craigslist ad soliciting health care activism for money. “Activism for money,” I thought!! Was this it at last? The missing link Democrats have been searching for? Obamacare opponents turning up at town halls really are a mob?

We really are nothing but a slew of paid hacks drummed up by the promise of easy cash by cynical Obamacare opponents to create an artificial appearance of opposition?!?

Ummmm, no. (click for full size)

But wait, there’s more!

“Don’t Tread On Me”

Those were the words of Kenneth Gladney.  These words however were spoken by his lawyer since Gladney was under heavy medication as a result of the beating he took at the hands of SEIU thugs.

If you can’t see the video it is of a speech by St. Louis Tea Party’s Bill Hennessey and the attorney for Kenneth Gladney.

More Mob Violence

.

.
If you can’t view video here’s a summary: SEIU thugs attack Obamacare opponents, smack the person filming right in the face.

When you go to the town hall meetings: bring a camera.

If you go to a protest: bring a camera.

If you think you may pass a Democrat on the street while on your way to Starbucks: bring a camera.

Meet the Mob - by Dana Loesch

Looks like they're onto us

[Dana Loesch defies easy description, but here goes: She hosts The Dana Show on KFTK 97.1s, #1 in its slot. She Tweets (DLoesch, 4800 followers, plus you), blogs, does the St Louis Tea Party scene, and appears on FNC (last night on Greta, for example). And plenty more. The essay below is reproduced from her blog, with her kind permission. I snorted Dr Pepper out my nose when I read it. I recommend you don't try that. h/t Aaron Gardner, who first saw this and got me in contact with Dana. Please enjoy, and XOXOXO -- EPU. ]

You’ve heard a lot about this crazy, scary, vicious mob on some shadowy GOP payroll. By the way the DNC, Rachel Maddow, and President Obama talk, you’d think it was a motley crue of Hell’s Angels.

Let me introduce you to the mob:

The Real Mob

“Rather than doing what they were elected to do — safeguarding wages and benefits for union members — they took cash and other bribes to turn a blind eye on contractors’ schemes to cheat the rank and file”

As Swamp Yankee noted earlier today, the AFL-CIO is going all-in on the healthcare debate. Their plan, in their own words, is to “organize major union participation in Congressional Town Hall meetings.” Unlike the spontaneous rejection of socialism springing from our grassroots, Big Labor plans to service their symbiotes in government by putting up money, transportation, and talking points in order to influence the healthcare debate and, ultimately, shut you up.

There’s a word for that. I can’t think of it. Rhymes with mastro murfing I think.

Of course, also unlike the senior citizens Obamacare proponents happily smear as an unruly mob, big labor is absolutely ready to use intimidation and scare tactics to get their way. Hey, it’s what they do.

You may be wondering, though, whether they may have a good point. After all, if the unions exist for the purpose of advocating for the rights of workers, couldn’t their support of Obamacare be seen as part of that mandate? Um, could you please stop laughing? I’m going somewhere with this!

So OK, let’s have a look at just how well Big Labor takes care of “the little people” then, shall we?
