Barack Obama: Alan Grayson ‘outstanding member of Congress.’

Talk about timing:

President Obama offered him some warm words at a Miami fundraiser for the Democratic congressional campaign committees last night.

Obama, in introducing the members of Congress in attendance, called Grayson – along with Florida Reps. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Kendrick Meek – as “outstanding members of Congress.”

This would be the same day that it came out that Alan Grayson went on the Alex Jones show last month - the Alex Jones Show - and called a Treasury staffer a “K Street whore.” This is actually angering more than a few Democrats right now - and if you’re wondering why this resonated when other nastiness didn’t, it may be because K Street in DC is also known for being a hangout for actual prostitutes, which certainly puts a somewhat different complexion on the attack*.  Now Grayson’s behavior, I understand: he’s a darling of the progressive antiwar Left, which means that his casual misogyny is a unexceptional rhetorical flourish to that sort**.  He’ll just scream louder and louder until he gets smacked for it.  But what’s the President’s excuse?

Letting the Teleprompter do his thinking for him again, perhaps?

*Although Rep. Weiner  - who originally declared Grayson to be a ‘one fry short of a Happy Meal’ - has since changed his tune.

Misogynistic attacks are opening some liberal women’s eyes

Governor Palin\'s children are just colateral damange

The fallout from David Lecherman’s raunchy and sexist attack on 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her daughters has yet to settle, but already a silver lining has appeared around the mushroom cloud lingering over such attacks, which have become common from the left.

Until Gov. Palin stood her ground and declared that Creepy Dave apologize to young girls everywhere, liberal feminists had remained silent in the wake of attacks on conservative women, their children and their values. Now an increasing number of them have been pushed to the point where they can remain silent no more. Those women who truly believe in the principles of feminism have been forced to choose between their feminist ideals and the sort of political tactics taught by Saul Alinsky and other radical leftists.

Old Man At CBS Fixates On Sex With Teen Girls, Audience Delighted

(This story has been updated below)

Has Chris Hansen ever been a guest on Dave’s show? Just askin.

Fresh from calling Sarah Palin a slut and joking about her 14-year old daughter being raped and impregnated in front of a bemused stadium, David Letterman thought it would be hilarious to follow up by calling her a prostitute:

Letterman’s pursuit of Palin and her daughters has been as relentless as it has been creepy. Of course, it’s also perfectly logical.

On Axelrod calling Carrie Prejean a dog.

Never blog angry.

Well, not quite true: never blog too angry. A little anger can help. Too much, though, and you end up wanting to pound on the wall; this pleases a certain demographic, and you may define ‘pleases’ any way that you like. So, now that I’ve calmed down - some - about Obama crony David Axelrod crassly equating Carrie Prejean with a dog:

When Axelrod was asked if he had weighed in on the Obama family’s dog choice, he answered, “I was only called in for the final three, and one was Miss California.”

…I’ll say this: after an event like the above I’d be embarrassed about me being on the same side of the same-sex marriage debate as Axelrod, except that there’s actually no evidence whatsoever that I am (I already know that I’m well to the left of his boss on this issue). As it is, I’d much prefer to have Carrie Prejean as my spokesperson than the people that have decided to publicly attack her; unlike them, she’s shown no indication that she personally hates her opponents.

I really should stop being surprised at this sort of thing, though. It’s not like it’s going to stop for the next 3.5 years.

Meghan hearts Eminem’s Palin-mocking video

The poor, deluded girl thinks he looks 'hot' in it.

Via NRO’s Jim Geraghty, the latest tweet from the McCain twit:

“I used to have the hugest crush on Eminem when I was in high school and he still looks hot in his new music video!!”

The puke rapper’s latest video is none other than the sleazeball “We Made You,” in which he fantasizes about Alaska’s governor, portrays himself in bed with a porn star made up to vaguely resemble Palin and includes these lyrics:

Well I can be as gentle and as smooth as a gentleman
Give me my venom, an inhaler, and two Xenadrine,
And I’ll invite Sarah Palin out to dinner, then
Nail her. Baby, say hello to my little friend.

Who will defend women against misogynistic attacks?

Not leftwing feminist groups

In this video, Bill O’Reilly and Tammy Bruce excoriate feminist groups for refusing to defend Sarah Palin and other women who don’t adhere to radical leftist views from misogynistic attacks:

And at The New Agenda, Cynthia Ruccia has an excellent post up about how common sexism has become in our society and how only a few have been willing to stand up against it.

G20 Protesters murder man in London. [Bumped: and the cops may have lent a hand.]

[UPDATE] And when they pull in the sick buggers that threw the bottles, make sure that none of these guys do the pulling in.

But don’t preen, ye blackshirts. The cops may have committed manslaughter. Your fellow-protesters are still on the hook for murder.

Yes, murder. When you attack people trying to save someone’s life - someone who is dying - then you have made a moral choice. Or in this case, an immoral choice:

Police were attacked as they helped dying man at G20 protests in City

Police officers came under attack while they tried to help a dying man at the G20 protests in the City last night.

The victim was found by a member of the public unconscious in the street near the Bank of England just before 7.30pm yesterday.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said officers arrived on the scene to help and had to move the casualty away for urgent treatment after bottles were thrown at them by protesters.
