With the Leftward bent that most of the music industry has, it’s difficult for a Republican candidate to find a good theme song for their campaign–remember what happened when Reagan tried to use Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA”? Meanwhile, it’s noticeably easier for Democrats to find one for their campaign, like Bill Clinton’s use of Fleetwood Mac’s “Don’t Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow)”.

But the good news for John McCain is that he might not have to look much longer for an official theme song for his campaign, thanks to John Rich, one half of the country duo “Big n’ Rich”.

Today, he unveiled a song he wrote specifically for John McCain called “Raisin’ McCain”.

So, what do you guys think of it? I think he did a good job writing and singing the song, especially when you consider the fact that most song’s written specifically to be theme songs don’t always turn out the best quality songs. It’s certainly far better than that song about Obama that Ludacris put out recently.
