MEMBER DIARY

Do you continue to give a person a fish or do you teach that person to fish?

Self sufficiency and no hyphenated group.....that is what Michael Steele stands for, do you?

From the diaries by Erick.

I cannot express enough how I feel that Michael Steele is the man for the job at the RNC. That he has the vision of conservatism that I myself have. That he does not see your color but your greatness. Michael Steele has made himself clear on many issues the greatest being small government and Constitutional Judges to send the social issues that are greatest back to We the People of these United States. He has not faltered nor has he changed his mind of what Conservatism means since losing his bid for the Senate in 2006.

He has shown through every interview that he will not be swayed by the issue dujour of the moment and will not be wishy-washy in his Conservatism. He is what we need right here right now to get this party back to basics from which we have traveled so far from.

I know that everyone has a choice I am just putting out there who mine happens to be. I think he is a youthful Fred Thompson to be honest with you all. He says the same things and is unafraid to speak to the Conservative base of the party….he is not PC and that is what WE need.`

Michael Steele will really help blaze a path forward for the Republican party and for this country. I hope that everyone out there sees what Mr. Steele is capable of and what he stands for. If he is selected to lead the RNC, Americans will have a real chance at success.

    Via my post here:

    Spengler:

The cleverest people in the United States, the Ivy-pedigreed investment bankers, have fouled their own nests as well as their own net worth, and persuaded the taxpayers to bail them out. If these are the best and the brightest of 2008, America is in very deep trouble.

THAT’S what we need to be saying about this crowd. It’s the same old “IN” crowd, that ran Fannie and Freddie and fiddled while the sub-prime mortgage market burned… How bad is that?

….was in 1981. I started a business in August of 1981 and have not looked back. I have recruited and taught many “fishermen” who have gone on to catch there own fish. A few even opened there own “restaurants”. I actually did a small job the other day for one of my “students”.

do you see the Fredism in Michael?

I had not thought of Steele this way, exactly, but it seems he’s been going to Fredhead school.

because I thought perhaps I was reading more into it than I thought BUT the more I looked at his video’s and read some of his opinions It kept coming to me that WOW he reminds me of Fred…..and that my friend is a GREAT thing and he is young and ready to fight. Not that our Fred wasn’t ready to fight I think he just wasn’t ready for a 30 second soundbite world…….Mr. Michael Steele is ready for that 30 moment.

… of sitting next to Mr. Steele at the RNC on the night that he, Mr. Giuliani and Gov. Palin spoke. We got to chat and laugh a little throughout the evening. By the end of the evening’s events I found myself equally impressed with Mr. Steele and won over by him. Since then I have sought to learn more about Mr. Steele and have been pleased to find his conservative beliefs are solid and well founded.
