MEMBER DIARY

Right back where we started from

Let me state unequivocally that Barack Obama and his allies will be kicked out of power in November. Sure, he has been propped up by a decidedly corrupt media, but the truth and natural law are not on Obama’s side. Millions of americans are unemployed, our culture is under attack and gas/food prices have risen. Liberals prance to the music of abortion, gay marriage and to chants of booing God. Frothing racism is rampant in the mouths of liberal pundits and democratic hacks. They are at war to destroy the founding principles and ideals of America.

Today’s liberalism is a cancer of the mind. Approximately 1/3 of the country is infected. Unnatural aberrations of homosexuality are paraded instead of kept in the privacy of the bedroom. A thirty year old, heterosexual student is given a national platform to demand free contraceptives. Where are the parents that admonished “If you are going to screw around your going to pay a price”? Whether it is the economy or foreign policy, liberal policies have always been a mid to long term disaster. The stimulus and quantitative easing have not worked. Obama’s Solyndra job program hasn’t worked. His cronies pocket money and the taxpayers are on the hook.

Obama’s middle east foreign policy is without any mid to long term success. The islamists have already said that there are millions of Osamas. The military kills Osama and Obama uses this as a talking point to cover his unwillingness to stop Iran from going nuclear. Although there are muslims and radical muslims, there is no such thing as radical Islam. Islam is radical to the core. This is the greatest threat to Western Civilization. Obama covertly and openly encourages islamic interests while covertly and overtly attacking christian and jewish interests. But have hope: conservatives and our independent allies are about to remove Obama and his perverted islamberalism ideology from office.

We need to remember that people all across the United States have been bombarded by a biased media, including fake independent bloggers like Nate Silver(lode) over at the New York Times. (he is former DailyKos blogger..Poblano) He gives Obama an approximate 80% chance of winning. Now this is an example of where common sense is no longer common. I say Obama has less the 50% chance of winning and if pushed would go 50/50 today. Mark my words I am right and Silverlode is full of it. (Watch for the liberal walk back as the election gets closer) This is not 2008. Any reasonable person knows that, as of today, this will be a close election and that Obama has a good chance of being defeated.

Perusing the polling (of likely voters) in the last week it seems this election is going back to where it was before the conventions. Today, Romney is up by 3 in lastest Rasmussen poll. The political war is heating up. The Romney campaign has just started to carpet bomb the swing states. These ads will be able to get past the interference of the liberal media. By mid to late October Romney will have a clear lead in the swing states. Advantage Romney and we are right back where we started from prior to the conventions.

I have included a link to a youtube video. I encourage people to watch. You may love it. It will be time to dance in November.

jamesm, I agree in principle and vote 1 star.

But the MSM have convinced American women to fear Republicans. Reagan and the Bushes finessed this problem by finessing the abortion issue. They never caved on principle, just finessed.

This go round, Republicans have not done a good job of finessing the issue.

I hate abortion pretty much as much as anyone. But I also know how easy it is to scare a lot of women voters — even conservative-minded, anti-abortion women — over “death in the emergency room,” “coat hanger abortions,” etc.

Next go round, regardless of this year’s election, Republicans need to confront head-on the need to attract women voters.

      thanks viet71.
You’re right the messaging from the Republicans needs to be much better and then get through the liberal noise. It seems to me that conservatives need to develop a coherent long term plan on effectively reducing media bias. Everyone in america needs to understand that conservatives care about a woman’s health and life. In my opinion democrats and the media have waged a war on conservative women. Maybe conservative women should lead the discussion.

Agree Viet! I still blame Rick Santorum’s anti contraception tirades that played right into the Dems hands and it has gone downhill from there. We gave them the opening. As a woman I would hope in the future that we have more GOP women lead this discussion as we can speak for ourselves.

      • streiff

that is such a silly position. There are no “women’s” issues. No one is stopping you from speaking but there is no area whatsoever where your sex or race gives you a greater voice than anyone else.

      • PowerToThePeople

I disagree with Rick and the Catholic church on contraception as I can find no Biblical backing for that stance, but that man was simply espousing his views based on his faith. Do not agree with him, do not agree with the view, did not support him, but can not fault the man for sticking to his faith and his views no matter how the left like it. In a day and age where way too many from our own side are way too willing to hide their beliefs, got to give credit to Santorum for standing for his whether you or anyone else agrees.

        • streiff

If you are an “every man is his own Pope” type of Protestant then I won’t be able to help you. The basis is this doctrine is encapsulated in Humanae Vitae. Not only is it well reasoned it was prescient. The very things Paul VI predicted would happened as a result of turning sex into recreation and treating your body as Six Flags have come to pass.

I’ll also point out, that opposition to contraception was a universal Christian position until the 1960s.

          • 10ab

Our “big tent” would be reduced to a “pup tent” with this message as a platform.

          • streiff

hardly. Whenever we run on social issues we win. When we run on gutting Social Security and making grandma eat catfood we lose. It is a lesson that certain parts of the GOP can never seem to learn.

          • 10ab

And I believe politicians need to stay OUT of the bedroom. If you believe we could have brought in more women voters with the anti contraception nonsense you are sadly mistaken. Case in point…Santorum is not the nominee.

          • streiff

this is not “staying out of the bedroom” as much as you shout it. It is an issue of the type of culture we live in. That is a subject on which all of us have a vote. If you don’t agree with that you’re going to have a Hobbesian life here.

          • PowerToThePeople

You are correct that with an absent of sexual morality, problems follow. But sexual immorality and recreational sex was going on long before the invent of contraceptives. And those who stand against contraceptives do so also in a married relationship where childbirth is not wanted for whatever reason.

Not arguing the with the pope on his belief towards marriage or what follows with a lack of constraint when it comes to sex, I do disagree than somehow contraceptives is the cause of the immorality. I would argue that immorality is a part of the human condition exasperated by poor parent leadership, TV, movies, schools, etc who have done their best to destroy morality.

But as I stated, disagree with his belief, find no Biblical rule, and respect the fact he stood for what he believes in even if people did not like it. That is lacking in politics.

The polls (and betting markets like Intrade) are not all rigged. Obama really is ahead right now. Based on what we know right now, we have to assume he’s the favorite. I don’t want Romney or his campaign staff thinking or acting like they have the lead right now.

I have no suggestions or idea of how we could change the nature of the race that haven’t been described more eloquently or thought out more fully by someone else. The debates are one of our last chances. And if the host and television networks submarine Romney in the first debate, I hope they have one heck of a strategy to counter that and connect it to Obama’s regime.

    • jamesm

Scared eh? Well have some comfort. I just heard O’Reilly say something about Rasmussen being the most accurate pollster. When Obama packs his bags you can sleep better at night.
