I’m assuming you’re writing your piece on Word or a similar word-processing program.

After you’ve finished and spell-checked and are ready to roll, save your file as a text file. That will strip out all the extraneous codes.

Next close your word processing program.

Then open the text file with a text program like Notepad. After double checking to make sure that the save went okay (no funny codes), simply cut and paste, and you’ll be ready to post your diary at RedState.

Mrs. Palin, her caterwauling on Bipartisanship™ (thanks, Neil!) notwithstanding, is a member of the Republican party. Virtually all of those opposed to Pres. Obama’s agenda are either members of the Republican Party, caucus with the Republican Party and endorse most of their agenda (IOW, they are functional Republicans), or don’t have access to the levers of power, and never will (IOW, disfunctional conservatives). I have problems with the Republican party in its current iteration, and I’m not the best party man ever, but right now, the Republican party is the only game in town for conservatives. It is (admittedly ostensibly) one of two main parties dedicated to advancing conservative/libertarian ideals, has the organizational tools to help conservative candidates (again, ostensibly) to get elected and spread their message.

The Democratic party, OTOH, is the party of Pres. Obama, Pelosi, and other assorted sundry characters. Its stated goal is to advance progressive ideals, and it’s doing a great job of that. With the passing of Zell Miller from the scene, there isn’t a single high-profile conservative Democrat; not one. As such, there are only three possibilities, when it comes to classifying conservatives in the party: they are either old, and haven’t changed party affiliation out of loyalty, or are stupid, for not seeing that the Dems don’t represent their philosophy. But what’s behind door #3, you must be wondering? Why that’s easy: they are liars, and haven’t the guts to tell you what their records state with great clarity: that they are liberals who have determined to run as conservatives or “moderates” to win in districts that would run them out of town if they knew what they were really peddling.

This is a conservative and Republican blog, aimed at promoting conservative and Republican ideals, and funding Democrat campaigns doesn’t fit into those categories.

Finally, don’t dare a moderator. That’s a very trollish move.

Now you compound the problem with this:

The “Knee Jerk” reaction that YOU and the folks at KOS exhibit when a ‘foreign’ idea is introduced into a discussion IS THE PROBLEM HERE!

The problem is you ignore Moe when he points out:

Every Democrat on that list supports the Speaker of the House and her cronies; every Democrat on that list negotiates with their caucus to determine which one gets to lie to their constituents and pretend that they’re really conservative for any given bill; and every Democrat on that list caucuses with the Democrats, which allows them to stack the individual committees and ram through anything that they like. So to blazes with them. If they want conservative support, they can either change parties, or change their own from within. Until then, we give them nothing.

I have no problem with Democrats who are conservative and caucus with us. But I’d feel a lot better if, as Moe says, they change parties or work to change their party from within. That would make me take them a little more seriously.

And would you please learn to use Reply to this?

You blew it. We gave you info you needed, although you should have read “About RedState” before you posted a diary. As to a moderator’s views not carrying anymore weight than anyone else around here, you don’t make the rules here, it’s your place to follow them instead. Just like the rest of us.

Nobody silenced your opinion. But all of us are telling you that you are wrong. There are no conservatives left on the Dem side. There are only libs, radicals, and liars. Your belief is only that, your belief, not your knowledge, not your proof. You will not be here long.

I’d rather have Susan Collins than ANY Democratic Senator. (Or, frankly, McCain.)

relax, do not start flame wars yet around here, ya had a post that invited fervent disagreement (because the blue dogs vote the Pelosi line) no need to be a martyr. BTW, you need to use the reply to this, it is sort of a pet peeve around here.

Listen, hang tough and expect what you want debate, but also expect passion to be inserted into the debates which may make it uncomfortable at times, but remember respect the moderators, Please. I usually have a keen sense, but I think you will back away from this one contribute elsewhere and it will be back to “heh, we agree on many things”

Then again, what do I know, I tend to get in flame wars myself, but usually with the lurkers and trolls.

RedState is not a free-speech zone but is a privately-owned site whose owners (of which I am not one) get to set the rules of engagement. That is, the 1st Amendment doesn’t apply because RedState is private property.

Or if the analogy helps, think of your time on RedState as being a guest in somebody’s private home, If you don’t behave appropriately, the hosts are going to kick you out the front door and not invite you back.

The stated purposes of the site are to promote Conservative strong Republican interests.

In that regards, especially given the one-party rule that our nation currently faces and the dictatorial control by the House and Senate Democratic leaders, the site directors do not approve of people advocating that people support any Democratic candidates, regardless of whether they try to pretend to be conservatives or not.

You thus have the choice of abiding by that condition and advocating all the conservative positions you like.

Or, if you can’t restrain yourself, then you should find another site to promote Democratic candidates.

But I hope that you will choose to back off and turn your attention to the multitude of issues and challenges that conservatives face today.

There’s a tremendous amount of intellectual firepower and knowledge among the RedState community members if you choose to avail yourself of it, which can help you in clarifying your thinking and in speaking to your liberal friends and acquaintances.

On the other hand if your intend is to moby, then you won’t last long here.

In the end, it doesn’t matter what your beliefs are when you post on RedState. If you can’t honor the rules for posting, which include not promoting Democrats of ANY stripe, then you won’t be allowed to stay here long. Not my rules, the rules of this site. If you don’t like that, then hit the “Contact Us” form and tell them why the rules shouldn’t include you. And good luck with that. I was willing to give you a chance but if all you’re going to do is play the martyr and attack people when they point out that you have a hard-on for Sarah Palin (and can’t disagree with one of her statements without disagreeing with her), then we’re far better off fighting the good fight without you.
