Runaway TelePrompTer Embarrasses Obama, Irish PM Cowan

President Obama’s TelePrompTer, which has been challenged to a debate by Rush Limbaugh (neither it nor the Mouth of TelePrompTer, Barack Obama, has responded to date), apparently decided yesterday that St. Paddy’s was best observed with some good, old-fashioned shenanigans.

According to the AP:

Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen was just a few paragraphs into an address at a St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the White House when he realized something sounded way too familiar. Turns out, he was…giving word for word the speech that Obama had just read from the same teleprompter.

Cowen stopped and looked back at the president to say, “That’s your speech.”

Obama laughed and returned to the podium to offer what might have been Cowen’s remarks. In doing so, President Obama thanked President Obama for inviting everyone over.

What do you do when you’re a one-legged man and your crutch decides to turn on you? Something tells me this won’t be the last time the tool that allows President Obama to sound the least bit coherent, or like he has a clue what he’s talking about, trips him up and makes him fodder for well-deserved ridicule.

    Does the Irish PM also suffer from TP Addiction?
    Or does the White House not allow anyone to speak in the presence of The One without a TP assist?
    And, of course, had something similar happened in the last eight years………we would STILL be hearing Leno and Letterman cracking ‘jokes’ about it!
    Monty Python Inc, ltd should be in court, suing the hell out of this farce of an Administration for copyright infringement!

      It has been placed in storage, deep in the memory hole. In the revisionist (true)version the mouth of the TelePrompTer again thanks the Irish PM for coming and promptly hands the speech over to him..

    Further down in the article, when it mentioned the alcohol that was freely flowing, it also quoted Obama’s gracious and dignified admonition to his (our) guest, “Don’t put lampshades on your heads when the press is around.”

    Class act all the way. John Belushi could have done wonders with this administration in the early days of SNL.

    when Bill Clinton gave his State of the Union address and we all found out later that the teleprompter was on the fritz and he had done it from memory?

    I have a funny feeling this one wouldn’t go down the same way. Let’s all hope and pray that we get to find out.

    I own a teleprompter and only do shoots I can control.
    Doing it live and especially live worldwide would give
    me too many stomach aches.

    He’s almost certainly a pathological narcissist… the most dangerous charismatic leaders are, comes from an insecure childhood, like Barack’s.

    Indicators include control freakery, grandiose self-importance, feeling “above the law”, interpersonally exploitive, inability to handle criticism, lacks empathy, arrogant and haughty behaviors, surrounds himself with sycophants… any of this sound familiar?

    How else to explain why he’d write his racial-themed autobiography… when he was still a nobody? Same as fellow narcissists Hitler and Stalin.

    that he needed to embarrass someone else after Obama’s speech so we would not get wise to what is going on.

    You know if this keeps up President Teleprompter may develop a little jealousy about Obama getting all the credit for everything. President Teleprompter decided today was the day to make sure that no one messes with him/her.
