Almost every Synagogue ,I’ve ever entered has these Hebrew words somewhere in its sanctuary, Dah Lifnei Mi Atah Ohmed, they are usually on top of the Ark which houses the holy scroll of the Torah. It means “Know Before Whom You Stand.” It’s a signal to remember that where ever you go, you stand before God. It’s also a signal that the Synagogue is a Holy Place, and you need to be careful what you do, say and bring into this holy building.

Yesterday Rabbi Lustig of the Washington Hebrew Congregation, forgot the meaning of that Hebrew phrase, when he allowed serial hater Sean Penn to use his Shul for a publicity stunt.

The UN’s Human Rights Council (HRC) is a perfect example of what is wrong with the United Nations, at best it us a joke, at worst it does more to harm human rights than to protect those being abused. The council is a great example of the lunatics running the asylum, it is loaded with human rights violators. Last night, when the State Department released its most recent analysis of the human rights situation in the countries of the world, nearly half of the countries (22 out of 46) on the UN’s HRC were described as being serious human rights violators

I have spent much time during the past few evenings helping my son study for his History test later in the week. As I worked with him through his studies, I found that his class is presenting a brand new version of History, a version that never occurred. While you can make a case for different interpretations of events that happened centuries ago, his text book and curriculum distorts events I saw with my own eyes.

Sometime before the end of April, the health care debate will be over one way or another. After spending the better part (or worst part) of a year alienating much of the American electorate by trying to shove an unpopular bill down down their throats he will be pushing another unpopular policy our way, amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Glenn Beck was wrong, its as simple as that. He wasn’t wrong for interviewing Eric Massa because as a TV commentator, showman, and the man responsible for generating ratings for the Fox News network during the 5-6 hour it was an interview that Beck had to take.

Where Glenn Beck was wrong, was apologizing for wasting our time at the end of the interview. This interview was no waste of time because it moved the story along, in the end it destroyed the myth that Eric Massa’s claim had any viability.

Ah…its good to be a monkey (at least in North Carolina). The Civitas Institute took a look at the stimulus projects in its home state and there some real whoppers. Like the research project to study he effects of cocaine on monkeys, or a half a million dollars to sell the benefits of the stimulus plan, or my personal favorite , a quarter of a million dollars to preserve a bug collection.

These are just a few ways the President is favoring his friends, the Union leaders over the needs of the Union Rank and file and the American People. The reason for the favorable treatment is that most Union Pension Plans are about to collapse and much of the rank and file may not even know that when they are ready to retire their pensions may not be there.

More than one week after the marathon Obama speech cloaked as “bi-partisan” health care meeting, most American voters are still not moved. According to a new Rasmussen study 55% of voters say Congress should start over on health care (37% say work with the present plans). Despite this, the progressives who run the country continue their planning with the goal of shoving the legislation down the throats of the American people.

Climate scientists are not the least bit happy. They feel that none of the calamities that have befallen them over the past few months, are their faults. Climate-Gate, the IPCC mistakes, Michael Mann’s broken hockey stick, have been debunked, not because of the lousy science or the broken protocols etc, no these scientists attribute their problems to the over zealousness of the global warming skeptics who would rather see the world destroyed than redistribute income from the wealthy nations to the third world.

Back in the 1970s before people were screaming about global warming, scientists were warning us that the next ice age may be just around the corner. The big freeze scare was eventually pushed aside by the great man-made global warming hoax. Now a new study has been released that global warming may be just the Earth’s warning that a new Ice Age is near.
