its experience in announcing a VP selection one week after Obama's Camp botched theirs.

Palin was announced around noon, just in time for the lunch news cycle to kick in and then feed for the whole afternoon and evening. Palin will be the news for the entire weekend, leading into Labor Day.

The Palin pick was also not leaked - McCain could have txt and emailed his supporters, should he have chosen too, without being scooped by the internet and MSM.

Finally, McCain did not introduce Palin as the next President (not until 2012, at least).
