Good Newt: Positive, Substantive Speech on American Energy with a mix of Vision

This is why I’m a Newt supporter. This is what I’ve been wanting him to do for a long time. I hope he keeps this up.

Positive, Bold, Contrast

And thats just his vision for energy independence.

How in the world can he be in LAST place in the polls ?

How can he be lower in the polls than somebody like Romney?

It should be no contest !

In the beginning, God created earth to be an extension of his vast Kingdom and his LOVE was so great that he wanted to share it with man, whom he created in his own image and likeness and gave him free will.
To this very principal, the Founding Fathers of our nation decreed that freedom is a God-given in-alienable right of all the people.

Simple....more than $20M of negative and false advertisements

By Romney in Iowa and Florida. They were determined not just to beat Newt but to destroy him. There was a orchestrated effort to destroy Newt by the Republican Establishment. On January 26, massive headlines hit the Drudge Report exposing Newt’s so called stormy relationship with Ronald Reagan based on a speech Newt gave on the House floor on March 21st, 1986 where he actually denounced Reagan’s reaching out to Gorbachev. That segment of the speech was taken out of context. Most conservatives at tne time were apprehensive of reaching out to the Soviets, so Newt was certainly not alone.

Romney’s PAC also spent millions on a tv ad featuring Tom Brokaw reading a newscript about Newt’s socalled ethics violation and the fine. The ad was false because Newt was exonerated of all 82 of 84 politically motivated charges as well as exonerated of all charges by Clinton’s IRS.

But don’t worry, Newt will be back! Just be sure to keep praying for him. Support him in whichever way you can. Tell all your friends to vote for him.

Ah, but now Newt has an opportunity laid out on a silver platter by Romney and Santorum...

These two cowards skipping the debate signals to me a fear that Gingrich will destroy them on the debate dais…and he should capitalize on that by debating an empty chair. Have Fox News moderate it since the cowards at CNN are joining the other cowards Romney and Santorum.

It's a good thing Romney did the negative ad thing....

Because that’s just a teenie-taste of what Obama will unleash.

And it socked Newt right down to Ron Paul territory in the latest RCP average….

If Newt runs against Obama, he’s done from day one…

No amount of clapping (er, debating skills) will bring him back from where the O will send him…

Part of the reason for such a long primary contest, is to ensure that our candidates can survive a campaign – and if Newt falls to Romney’s ads (as he has) then he will be steam-rolled by Obama’s.

Economic illiteracy does not serve our cause – seeing inflation where there is none, claiming ‘the deficit’ is raising the price of oil, or adhering to conspiracy theories such as the notion that the Fed’s purpose is to enable government spending….

The truth is just as damning to the Democrats – namely that their policies are the reason that the very ‘speculators’ (futures traders) they demonize are bidding higher prices for oil.

Reminder: Romney lost SC despite outspending (and carpet bombing) Newt 2-1

He lost Iowa despite outspending Santorum Zillion-1 (while carpet bombing Newt there as well), similar story in CO/MN/MO. He was able to steal Florida only after running 13,000 attack ad TV spots against Newt and outspending him 5-1.

In fact, after campaigning for 6 years straight and spending hundreds of millions of dollars, Romney still hasn’t won a single primary in a state where he hasn’t lived or owned a home in, and hasn’t outspent his rivals 5-1. That horrible win-loss record which Romney has compiled after spending so much money makes him one of the worst presidential candidates ever, on either side.

Romney clearly will not have a 5-1 money edge over Obama in the general (he’d be lucky to be on par), and so he can’t win the GE, per your logic, and hence Romney should quit the race immediately instead of continuing to poison the GOP’s chances by attacking every Republican alternative candidate that rises and stands in his way.

Now, Newt was able to score a strong win despite a 2-1 spending handicap against him in SC. In the GE, any of the GOP candidates will have at least half the money that Obama+Dems will have.

Ergo, per your logic, contrary to the deduction you attempt to make, Newt would be far a better candidate to field for the GE than Romney.

In truth, however, Newt has a compelling and comprehensive platform of ideas which would be the reason why he’d be a strong candidate in the general (provided that the GOP and the activist base will work as hard as needed to counter the combined lethality of the Obama machine and the Leftwing Noise Machine, something they’d have to do for any GOP nominee.)

Help Newt: Donate. Volunteer

Only if the general electorate polls the same way the GOP field does...and it won't...

GOP candidates can run Fannie/Freddie ads and they poll well against Newt. Obama won’t run those ads because his party is joined at the hip with Fannie/Freddie…

…and environmental policy…

In fact, all Obama has to hit Newt with are personal issues, to which Newt can hit him back as being the Speaker when we balanced the budget, reformed welfare, etc. I do not believe your comparison and analysis for the general where a match-up between Newt and Obama to be correct at all.
