How to Repeal ObamaCare Before 2012

It’s time for our first ever Constitutional Convention since the approval of the U.S. Constitution.  Congress has strayed too far off the path and we just can’t wait through two election cycles to replace Congress and the President.  We need to get busy these next 6-1/2 months and elect good, solid, conservatives to our state legislatures.

If two-thirds of our states (34) vote for a Constitutional Convention — it’s on.  That convention can be used to bypass Congress and the President to enshrine into the Constitution via the amendment process with a vote of 75% of the states (38) such things as:

1) Repealing Obamacare

2) Forbidding the EPA from regulating CO2 emissions

3) Limiting the amount of taxing and spending the Congress can enact.

4) Requiring a balanced budget unless of emergency and a 2/3 vote of both houses.

Never before have we had such a threat in this country to our basic liberties.  And never before have we had such an awakening of middle-America to this threat.  People are paying attention and are becoming involved.  Let’s not wait until 2012. Let’s get it done in 2010!

So – process of elimination -

That leaves 16 states that could say NO….
By my count – I bet at least 20 states would say no.

    1. California
    2. New York
    3. Hawaii
    4. Washington
    5. Oregon
    6. Colorado
    7. Minnesota
    8. New Mexico
    9. Illinois
    10. Michigan
    11. Ohio
    12. Pennsylvania
    13. Maryland
    14. Rhode Island
    15. Massachusetts
    16. Vermont
    17. New Hampshire
    18. Maine
    19. Connecticut
    20. Delaware

We would have to really work on 4 or 5 states to prove
that this would be in their best interest.

      For instance:

      1) “repealing Obamacare” leave open the opportunity to pass (gasp) EnterYourLeastFaveDemHereCare.

Better to write an amendment specifially forbidding the federal government from mandating purchases of any kind. Or repealing something that’s already in the Constitution, like the Commerce
      Clause.

This would completely render unconstitutional Obamacare, but it would also preclude the spectre of any such legislative travest from occuring again.

      How about:

      2) an Amendment rendering it forbidden for any non-elected federal offical from crafting or passing federal law. This would not preclude the President himself (who is endowed with certain legislative powers) from assisting in the crafting of a law. However it would prevent cabinet members, Supreme Court judges, and most importantly, federal agencies from imposing any kind of laws or regulations that don’t come through a legislative process.

      That would

It’s east to combine the last two:

3/4) Simply forbid government ownership of the means of production (make socialism illegal) and forbid spending beyond a certain percentage of GDP (except in times of war), in Amendment form. Want more spending? Stimulate the economy to EARN more first. The government is thereby forced to improve the lot of the People and the businesses they run.

Done! Democrats would, of course, have no platform for at least a generation, but, you know, that’s perfectly cool with me.

      Colorado, New Mexico, New Hampshire

Piss off enough people at the rate Obama’s going, and Ohio, Minnesota, or perhaps Pennsylvania might flip.

SoS Brunner canned the H/C amend petition already approved by OH AG Dem Cordray last Thursday. And then took off on her “Courage Bus” to campaign for US Senate.

remove the electoral college and have presidents elected by the nationwide popular vote – which would allow the dead voters in Chicago to ensure that the Democrat always wins.

remove that silly rule limiting a president to 2 terms – so Barrack can be president until Mallia is old enough.

explicitly state that women have the right to abort at any point in pregnancy.

explicitly state that the people have a right to economic justice.

give all the people the right to live in safe gun-free cities and states, etc.

We’re a lot better off sticking with the constitution we’ve got than letting leftists write us a new one.

but how is any of this (except the electoral college) going to get 38 states?

also go the other way and declare Obamacare a basic “human right”? You open the constitution up to anything with a CC. With the looters in charge of our government I don’t think enough of them can be trusted at the state or federal level. I think it would be the difference between legal tyranny and de facto tryanny.

As shown by public record, the states have already submitted over 700 applications for an Article V convention call, far in excess of the 34 applications required for a convention call. The applications can be read at www.foavc.org.

In short, it is simply a matter of pressuring Congress to obey the Constitution, not trying to get more applications submitted by the states.
