Nikki Haley Scolds Press for Publishing North Korea Intel that Trump Retweeted

A recurring theme in the Trump administration has been the discussion of anonymous or unauthorized information leaks. The latest is one involving an intelligence report about North Korea loading anti-ship missiles into patrol boats. When the story surfaced on Twitter, the President retweeted it. Given the food-fight relationship he has cultivated with the press, it naturally was a target for media snark.

The Fox News story cites unnamed “U.S. officials” as its source.

It’s the first time these missiles have been deployed on this type of platform since 2014, U.S. officials with knowledge of the latest intelligence in the region told Fox News on Monday.

It also points to more evidence that North Korea isn’t listening to the diplomatic threats from the West.

In an appearance on Fox and Friends this morning, U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley scolded the press for publishing the story and called it “playing with people’s lives.” The subject comes up at around the 4:10 mark in the video below.

Talk about mixed signals.
