McCain Energy Ad

What I don’t understand is why McCain won’t make an ad including this alltime gem of an Obamessiah quote:

“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,” Obama said.

Rub peoples noses in that - that Obama wants to control how much you drive your SUV, what you set your AC at, how much you eat, and make sure it is all A-OK with unnamed “other countries” - and there is no way McCain will lose Ohio or any other battleground state.

What's the deal on the offshore ban?

I have heard from various places that the ban automatically expires on September 30. Thus, it will take a specific action by Congress to renew the ban. If that is the case, then I don’t see how the ban could survive a vote.
