and when someone finally terminates him, I'll be celebrating...

There will NEVER be any love-fest among many at odds in the separate Kurd, Shi'ite, and/or Sunni, factions but Al-Sadr is (IMO) the worst of the worst as it stands now and the biggest impediment to Iraqi PEACE!!!

The other thing the Democrats "required" to use as a spinnable method to criticize anything/everything that was done in Iraq and excuse to "cut and run" (Surrender). The Benchmarks (USAtoday) which they then met 15 of quickly became quiet, as the MSM couldn't push it as a negative.

Like why DeBa'athification was left up to the Iraqi's is beyond me. Condition of surrender in Germany we imposed DeNAZIfication laws. We should have equally imposed that. Put a Oil Sharing template in place, that they could have then haggled out to change if they really insisted.

Not as if we didn't know with 100% certainty that a fledgling Democracy would go through a long "growing pains" and "power struggles within" period. We put Germany and Japan well on their way to Freedoms, and they still took a long period to really have it all take root. We wanted it to appear we were leaving more up to the Iraqis, and soften the "Occupiers" versus "Liberators" bs...

if you have to rely on some other party to acheive success, you are put in a dangerous position. We know we did our part, we spilled a lot of our own blood, but we left it up to them to come together, and ultimately it will be they who decide if Iraqi freedom is worth dying for.

I would have imposed more (via an initial Constitution) of those pesky little details (oil revenue sharing, etc) and left it for them to AMEND the Constitution to Change it (when they'd finally gotten around to stop arguing and actually agree on something). Leaving so many things left up for them to decide from scratch proved... problematic!

and what we could have/can realistically acheive. Maybe we as a public did not get the full scoop on the difficulty, maybe our leaders did not know the difficulties from day one, but it seems have have come to a reasonable way of acheiving victory. some will always say we failed in our aims, but if Iraq remains a dangerous place, but not a hot bed of terrorism, it will be way ahead of most Muslim nations.

Our troops have had to deal with something so much more complicated than ww2 for example, they and their leaders have earned our undying respect and admiration.
