Dear @Reince and @RNC: Put your money where your tweets are.
I realize this would appear to be the second letter to the party today, especially after Breeanne Howe’s “Dear John” to the party as a whole. But, I would simply like to ask something of the chairman of the RNC and the RNC itself: Turn your words into deeds.
Chairman of the Republican National Committee, Reince Priebus, has not one but two posts on RedState in support of defunding Obamacare. His Twitter feed is also very pro-Cruz. It’s full of hashtags and happiness and unicorns.

The RNC Twitter account, too, has posted a stream of links and petitions and hashtags. It was a beautiful thing to see.

But… well, let Daniel Horowitz explain it in 140 characters or less.

And so, I petition Priebus and the RNC to put the money they would like to raise off this big grassroots movement to put their money where their mouth is. If we are to stand up to Obamacare, we need not only defeat the Democrats, but the Republicans who would just as soon fund it. To #StandWithTed is fine, Mr. Chairman. But if the committee is going to support the very Republicans who oppose that venture, then it is an empty gesture. Or tweet, as it were.
Cruz was absolutely right to call the ones who attack him anonymously cowards, because, for all the bluster and crowing, they don’t stand up when the time matters. This is the best chance to stop the law dead in its track. But, Mitch McConnell and his lackeys have done nothing but get in the way (or, in McConnell’s case, he’s in the way when he’s actually out in public at all).
So, Mr. Chairman and the RNC: Put your money where your tweets are. Help your base get rid of those who actively try to keep this train wreck in place. Because, as Senator Cruz just said as I type this, you can’t talk out of both sides of your mouth successfully in the era of the Internet.
