Liberals only have three modes of attack: anyone who opposes them is stupid, and/or an extremist, and/or a bigot.  By far and away, the most relied upon, most effective, and least challenged of these methods is the last, and it’s not difficult to understand why.  To successfully brand an opponent as a racist is to discredit him for life.  Hence, few Republicans are willing to challenge liberals any time the “race card” can be played for fear of being stigmatized, and when it is played Republicans retreat meekly.  This allows leftists like Bill Maher to get away with saying such things as “Nowadays, if you are racist, you’re probably a Republican,” without much, if any, objection from Republicans.  The result is that not only has this sentiment become liberal orthodoxy, it is becoming increasingly accepted as true even in the mainstream.

But the idea that most racists are Republicans, like most liberal assertions, simply does not stand up to any degree of scrutiny.  Consider those anti-white racists in the New Black Panther Party.  How many of them are Republicans?  What about those racist bomb-throwers like Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and their followers.  How many of them do you think voted for John McCain?  Or those anti-Semitic Islamofascists hell-bent on murdering each and every Jew.  How many of them do you think donated to George W. Bush’s re-election campaign?

Obviously, these are specific examples of racism that, though undoubtedly entrenched in the left, cannot be attributed to liberals as a whole.  There are, however, a panoply of policies that are favored, if not by the entire group, then at least by the substantial majority of liberals.  It is liberals, after all, who support policies of racial discrimination against whites, Asians, and Jews, in higher education and in the workplace.  Oddly, liberals see no inconsistency in claiming Republicans to be racist while they themselves engage in anti-white racism, which in their minds is either (a) minimal or non-existent in America, (b) justifiable to the extent it does exist, especially if it is (c) called “affirmative action.”

But liberals don’t merely limit their race-based prejudices to those detrminetal to the above-listed groups.  Somehow, liberals manage to engage in a substantial amount of anti-black and anti-Hispanic-American racism as well.  For example, it is liberals who oppose school choice, thereby relegating poor black and Hispanic-American children to failing public schools where half do not graduate, and half of those who do are functionally illiterate.  It is liberals who have sold out the future of these children to the various teachers unions.

It is liberals who oppose lengthy prison sentences (if any) for drug dealers and even violent criminals, thereby allowing them to spend less time in jail, and more time victimizing mostly black and Hispanic communities, terrorizing and selling poison to the children who live there.

It is liberals who favor an open borders policy that allows illegal aliens to flow into this country, steal work away from blacks and Hispanic-Americans by undermining the minimum wage, steal government benefits intended for blacks and Hispanic-Americans, and overcrowd the predominately black and Hispanic-American urban public schools.

It is liberals who wish to use taxpayer money to subsidize abortion clinics in mostly black and Hispanic communities, for no reason other than population control.  Indeed, of the forty million abortions that have been performed in the United States since Roe v. Wade, nearly half have been of either black or Hispanic babies.  One wonders how many Martin Luther King’s, or Frederick Douglass’s, or Marco Rubio’s perished among their number.

As long as we’re on the topic of abortion, it is liberals who oppose parental notification laws, so that the parents of the young girls who go to these abortion clinics have no control or say over whether their children go forward with the procedure, and are not able to offer counsel.  In other words, they’re not able to act as parents.  This, ironically, is how liberals define “family planning.” Liberals separate children from the value structures that their families provide, and yet they have the audacity to claim to be on the side of minority families.

And it is liberals who created, maintain, and wish to expand the disastrous big government welfare state that rewards failure, and imprisons urban minorities in a perpetual state of dependency, low expectations, and broken families.  As the great economist Walt Williams has so rightly pointed out, “The welfare state has done to black Americans what slavery couldn’t do, what Jim Crow couldn’t do, what the harshest racism couldn’t do, and that is to destroy the black family.”

This shameful record cannot help but make one wonder whether there is genuine malicious intent behind these harmful policies, or whether they simply prove the axiom that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.  One would like to give liberals the benefit of the doubt.  But no matter how beneficent their intentions, liberals need to be held accountable for the detrimental results of their experiments, especially when those results are either predictable, or when they have been proven to be injurious and yet are not renounced and abandoned.

As long as Republicans stand united against these policies, they can rightly claim to be champions of minority rights and interests, and they should loudly and angrily object to any assertion to the contrary.  Liberals, on the other hand, have a race problem.
