A CNN reporter’s selective outrage

Depends on what the meaning of 'offensive' is...

My RedState.com colleague Jeff Emanuel provided a prime example of just how deep the drive-by media is immersed in the tank for Obama, as CNN’s Susan Roesgen gets in the face of an American citizen exercising his Constitutional rights of free speech and free assembly yesterday.

HotAirPundit has a fine example of Ms. Roesgen’s other side. She was all sweetness and light just three months ago when the protesters were left-wingers:

Even more damning to Ms. Roesgen’s credibility, however is this video, which shows the “reporter” accepting a left-wing protester with devil’s horns and a Hitler mustache as just a Bush “look-alike” — but going all ballistic yesterday over a sign that showed Obama dressed as Hitler. Again, she showed her in-the-face style of reporting. This time, she got all self-righteous with the sign’s bearer, challenging him with, “Do you realize how offensive that is?” You decide:

Ms. Roesgen obviously doesn’t realize how offensive her hypocrisy is.

Update: Allah has this video shot by Founding Bloggers showing Ms. Reosgen getting schooled immediately after her encounter with the citizen in the first video above.

All thanks to it’s wonderful “talent” like Ms. (Bush is the devil but don’t call Obambi a Fascist) Roesgen and Anderson (Teabagging is funny) Cooper.

    Serves these traitorous bastards right!!

Anderson said “it’s hard to talk when teabagging”…. the Red Eye crew was trying to determine if that was an admission and a coming-out for the AC!?!? No wonder why he has so many Barney Frank interviews!

…suggested she had been air-dropped into the middle of a bunch of cannibalistic Mau-Maus.

No offense to any Mau-Maus that may read this, of course.

for, Vladimir. It’s the idea that cannibals of any ethnicity would eat so rank and bitter a meal such as this one! ;-)

I’d like to get the Bush-Hitler one.

An extremely rare mention of how Code-Pink calls Obama on his campaign lies about being against FISA (then voting for it) and things like that, which CNN/MSNBC immediately after apologies and/or excuses Obama for, is an “attack.” …… Now that I’ve said it out loud, it is obvious you must have been being sarcastic! lol

      • robmikpet

and it is not really an attack it is more like please move farther to the left.

      • robmikpet

torture memos – from the left as Obermann says relaesing them should have been just a first step to prosecuting Bush et al for war crimes.

But in a way the segment is back-handed praise of Obama’s level headedness and willingness to overlook things like this to bring us together.

And my “goes without saying” winning comment – Obermann is the biggest moron EVER ( and I mean ever ) to grace television.

Obermann then goes on to rewrite the inter-war years between WW I and WW II by implying that we knew of Germans to prosecute after WW I and by not doing it, it led to WW II. Which is his way of saying because Bush got away with it the “next Bush” will be Hitler.

It has to be a mental affliction or a total lack of morals to go on TV and JUST MAKE STUFF UP. I cannot conceive of how you look at the camera and do it night after night. IT IS SICK!

Look, this shouldn’t be surprising to anyone, and its fully expected. But the side by side comparison is pure gold.

It’s all Fox News! They did this! It’s all a bunch of right-wingers, Republicans and Rupert Murdoch!

No intelligent person could ever believe that they have a right to enjoy the fruits of their labors. No real protest would ever happen because people believe in individualism over collectivism. Conservatives aren’t smart enough to figure out how to organize things at a grass-roots level. That’s what liberals do!

So this all has to be organized by right-wing conspirators and Fox News and not individuals who are fed-up with high taxes, wasteful spending and an overbearing Federal Government!

The irony is, Ms. Roesgen has called into question her own credibility and the credibility of CNN (notice no one at the Anchor Desk questioned her behavior). Until there is a public reprimand of Ms Roesgen from CNN/Time Warner, the credibility of all TW media assets is in question.

This hard-news reporter using the tactics of the news-analysis anchor Bill O’Reilly, which CNN claims to hate.

    Wow. Just… Wow…
