Operation Leper 1, Nicolle Wallace 0

The smearer-in-chief is through with politics.

Chalk up a point for RedState.com’s Operation Leper. If the NY Post gossip column Page Six has its facts straight, she’s political toast:

SARAH Palin’s campaign adviser Nicolle Wallace — who was blamed for the GOP veep hopeful’s notorious $150,000 clothes-shopping orgy — is through with politics. “My professional life will never involve working on a campaign again,” she tells next month’s Marie Claire.

According to the column, she’s going to start a family. Now, now… no snarky comments about who will pay for the wardrobe. As Bob Dylan sang so many years ago, “Goodbye is too good a word, babe. So I’ll just say fare thee well.”

Now that she is gone … hopefully… how about adding Steve Schmidt to this list

I wanted to strangle him when I read today that he was “warning” the GOP that we had better capitulate on special rights for gays or else we risk becoming a religous party. Moron.

Yeh, let’s all listen to Schmidt since he demonstrated what a political geneous he is. Exactly right, alienate our base and win by being moderate, we all see how well that worked.

Prehaps, if McCain really wanted to win, he should have had some ACTUAL REPUBLICANS working on his campaign. How someone who served this country with such valor and veracity for his whole life, I can not understand why John McCain insisted on showing such cowardess and kid gloves in engaging Barack Obama.

First rule of a campaign: would my actions hurt the candidate if the public found out?

… she should have been the absolute last person any Republican would hire in any capacity on a campaign. That McCain hired her was probably as picture perfect illustration of his campaign’s haplessness as we can ever hope to get of what is wrong with “It’s his turn” politics.

    better than a campaign.
