Palins have ‘no intentions’ of giving David Letterman ‘a ratings boost’

“The Palins have no intention of providing a ratings boost for David Letterman by appearing on his show. Plus, it would be wise to keep Willow away from David Letterman.”

A major alphabet network late night host, drunk on the arrogance of a freshly-negotiated contract, started a public battle with the Palins that he can’t win. A sincere, no excuses apology is his only way out.

Major sponsors are already trying to pass the buck to local CBS affiliates. Why? Angry fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and grandparents of young girls are putting pressure on the sponsors, the network and their local CBS stations. It’s working.

Update: Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women for America, a national women’s public policy group, called on David Letterman today to formally apologize.

    …Best Western and Mars M&M Inc. they both said they had no comment at the moment, but are reviewing the matter, have had many calls this morning.

    I asked the Mars M&M operator, to please send me a list of all the candy the company makes, so my family could choose another type of snack. There was some ackward silence after that…its working folks, keep calling these companies.

      Embassy Suites responded to one poster on Hillbuzz that they have taken down their space ads on Letterman’s website and stated that they don’t support Letterman.

      His website has a smaller number of rotating ads which indicates that sponsors are quietly pulling their ads/financial support.

      Outrage the public is voicing to his sponsors is making a difference.

      I wrote my local CBS affilate here in the metro dc area voicing my displeasure and requesting a list of the local sponsors. Below is the contact info for those of you who may live in the DC area.

    Its a shame I stopped watching letterman over 10 years ago, because now I can’t stop in protest.

    Sarah Palin is honestly not my first choice for the nomination in 2012, but my favorite part about her is that she’s not afraid to go on offense. She doesn’t care if the media doesn’t like her, and that’s what makes her so dangerous to the Left. She’s fearless, and she isn’t afraid to throw a punch.

    When you have Republicans like McCain that craves to be loved and “respected” by the media, you play on liberals turf, and you’re going to get beat.

    Republicans need to learn that the MSM is never going to love or respect you, no matter what. They have an agenda, and it’s to promote liberals and destroy conservatives. Sarah Palin understands this, but unfortunately too few Republicans “get it.”

    Of course, they compared it to Rush Limbaugh calling 13 year old Chelsea Clinton the White House dog, which misses the magnitude difference of the two offenses, but the fact NOW is recognizing the jokes were a problem is significant.
